It is still there but they have hooked to the grid for some of their electricity.I see where one was built in a nearby town in Kansas about a year ago. As soon as construction was finished they took down the power line poles and are off grid.

Who knows if they will ever be implemented, at least in the form shown, but it's still nice to know that people are out there thinking about things that will improve the human condition, future-thinking people, we can only hope that there are more of them out there.
