- nahsrocketeer75, on 03/05/2008, -18/+570I'm proud to say I read that cartoon with my fingers wrapped around a nice cold bottle of beer.
- The_Wallbanger, on 03/05/2008, -6/+355Drinking fountains and water coolers in the workplace are being replaced with pop machines selling water. Nothing makes sense anymore.
- masterofgrond, on 03/05/2008, -21/+174Is bottled water convenient is some situations, like travel? Yes. However, 90% of the time a simple water bottle filled with tap water does an equally good job. The worst are people who buy bottled water and consume it at home. For shame.
- pianomahnn, on 03/05/2008, -12/+140I support the use of bottled water in such a case. But I would wager most bottled water isn't purchased by people on the road. Sams club giant mega packs of water? For those families with 400 people in their car? Yea, I didn't think so.
- freakydingo, on 03/05/2008, -3/+118Penn and Teller's show about bottled water for those who have yet to see it: http://youtube.com/watch?v=XfPAjUvvnIc
- Matt2k, on 03/05/2008, -13/+122Drink Perrier and THE TERRORISTS WIN
- nbcaffeine, on 03/05/2008, -3/+90Why do you know what horse piss tastes like?
- dannenberg, on 03/05/2008, -8/+84I doubt the value of 3 tons CO_2. Must be way more.
- MisterGnome, on 06/13/2009, -8/+76Get a nalgene.
- Dumbledorito, on 03/05/2008, -4/+70If you want to drink from the 7-11 bathroom, that's fine, but you'd be better off (and get a better deal) by going to the soda fountain and using either the tap marked "water" or find the spigot with the little plastic tab next to it that makes it dispense water only. Plus you get ice.
- Whaines, on 03/05/2008, -1/+58Worst analogy ever.
- orangetiki, on 03/05/2008, -2/+58i fill my container like a bum, and yet I have my own apartment and good clothes and semi new car. I'm not cheap, I just don't spend cash for something I can get for free. that's common sense.
- malcolmlo, on 03/05/2008, -4/+56Buy a brita, save the world.
- vault, on 03/05/2008, -100/+151So if you're on the road and want water, what're you supposed to do? Go in the bathroom of 7-11 to fill up your reusable container like a bum? Bottled water is convenient for most people.
- kelmaster1, on 03/05/2008, -2/+53Beer from a tap is better...
- consoneo, on 03/05/2008, -9/+55Drink your tap more often and you'll get used to it. Quit being a pussy. :)
- LiquidChimera, on 03/05/2008, -7/+52hooray for beer!
- lostivity, on 03/05/2008, -6/+48How about plan ahead and bring your own tap water from home? You'll save money as well.
- HonestAbe, on 03/05/2008, -0/+38Something that benefits the employees on the company's dime is being replaced by something that benefits the company on the employee's dime?
Makes perfect sense to me... - freak3295, on 03/05/2008, -4/+40its called a brita filter
get one - Whaines, on 03/05/2008, -2/+35You'd have a smaller carbon footprint if you filled your own water bottle from water you filtered from your own tap. The glass bottles still have to be transported which helps create a larger footprint.
- NathanielJ, on 03/05/2008, -6/+38Wow Americans buy over 300 billion meals each year, yet millions of people starve each year.
See? I can make useless comments too. - ploop, on 03/05/2008, -4/+36It's beer! Hooray beer!
- johnn11238, on 03/05/2008, -1/+30Filling your bottle from a SINK??? Oh, the humanity...
- webs05, on 03/05/2008, -1/+29You're missing the point. No one cares if you buy a bottle for the long haul. But sitting at home drinking bottled water is a little ridiculous when perfectly safe tap water is available, and is the audience this cartoon speaks to.
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -4/+31Good points.
- ethomas046, on 03/05/2008, -1/+26Only 3 tons of CO2...that doesn't seem right. I smell fluoride conspiracy...
- triplescoop, on 03/05/2008, -14/+38Honestly, America is the most hilarious country in the world. Paying 1000x the price of tap for lower quality bottled water, you can't make that ***** up.
- elmetald00d, on 03/05/2008, -1/+25hey, just like water!
- bemenaker, on 03/05/2008, -2/+26The situation you describe is not the typical bottled water drinker
- MikeFromAmerica, on 03/05/2008, -3/+25Ha! Take that, third world. Zing!
- souljaboytellem, on 03/05/2008, -0/+22Not on the other side of the world
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -4/+25When you travel, bring your own water, like we USED to do before plastic bottles. Buy a thermos and fill it up or a water cooler.
- vault, on 03/05/2008, -11/+32Really? I'd rather have a cold bottle of water.
- Cerialthriller, on 03/05/2008, -2/+22its true, we sell the exact same filtering equipment to bottled water companies and your township
- raynar, on 03/05/2008, -3/+22Its like dog piss, but a little stronger.
- xombiefarts, on 03/05/2008, -0/+19If only we create beer lines, like water lines into our homes..one day!
- DocGlass, on 03/05/2008, -1/+20buy a water-container for each member of the family and fill it up each morning. Or at the very least re-fill water bottles.
- leonhyral, on 03/05/2008, -1/+20Try ram piss, *****' pussies.
- askanis, on 03/05/2008, -7/+26the best tap water in the world ? You are kidding. Buried for inaccuracy.
- Alphi1, on 03/05/2008, -1/+19Quite simply - everybody has different tastes. Some people like the taste of beer (myself included, just so long as it's good beer - no cheap swill for me). Some people (like my wife) do not like beer in any form.
And that's fine with me... That just means the more beer for me. In my particular case, it means I *KNOW* my wife won't drink the last beer in the fridge and forget to buy more. :) - smoger, on 03/05/2008, -1/+19i drink bottled water at home all the time. im sorry hippies, but i'll switch to tap water when it doesnt come out with a white fog in it.
- Magicmasta, on 03/05/2008, -9/+27The tap water I had when I was in the midwest summer of 2006 was the worst I have ever had, it was filled with chloride. The water here in the Netherlands is from the same source as some of the pre-packed water, and it has no chemicals in it.
So buried for inaccuracy - Matt2k, on 03/05/2008, -2/+20Viva la revolution
I could live with French terrorists. When you disobey, they tell bad jokes and cook pastries. And smoke cigarettes with a lazy laid back dreamy look in their eyes. I dunno. Whatever it is they do over there. Its pretty smooth though. - lolinyerface, on 03/05/2008, -0/+18I guess you're too good for that, shall I pull the car around, sir?
- NastiN8, on 03/05/2008, -3/+20I like how obvious it is that you know what you're talking about. Great Job!
- FoxOrian, on 03/05/2008, -3/+20The Pen & Teller: ***** episode on this subject was particularly interesting and entertaining. All bottled water pretty much comes from municipal supply sources...
I only drink bottled water when it's offered for free at events and such. Otherwise, I just find a water fountain. [or "bubbler" depending on your locale.] - inactive, on 03/05/2008, -1/+17Grow some balls... ma'am
- zengonzo, on 03/05/2008, -0/+16I see your point - but no, it isn't.
As long as you can't see the actual conditions under which your bottled water is bottled, you're able to maintain the assumption that nothing in the process contacted petrified boogers, dip or butt hair. -
