- crombenevolant, on 10/30/2007, -4/+17That would be a bad idea. Having them all in one stadium would make the hunt boring.....
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -6/+17Because this isn't about evolution you asshat. Evolution is a scientific model that describes how biology works. It does not tell you how to behave or act. But I've kinda expected such ignorant comments from Spaza.
Having entire species of primates die out is wrong as WE humans are the cause for it and future generations may never get to see these creature. It also decreases biodiversity of life on this planet and that from an evolutionary view is bad. - trenchcoat, on 10/30/2007, -2/+12That would be the best football game ever.
- coldcoffee, on 10/29/2007, -2/+11Yes, this article is 100% true - I saw them yesterday. They're called Steeler fans!
- whinyfanboy, on 10/30/2007, -6/+15American football or normal football ?
- darny, on 10/30/2007, -1/+9what would happen if we gave them all typewriters?
- TctclMvPhase, on 10/29/2007, -2/+9Is that by volume or by seating capacity?
- inactive, on 11/05/2007, -6/+12You are one stupid lifeform. Evolution has as much to do with philosophy as physics or geology. It is a scientific model. All it does is describe how reality works.
Your logic is basically:
"If Einsteinian Relativity is true, therefore all of reality and morality relative."
PS: Next time, don;t use Star Trek. It makes you look...completely and utterly stupid. - livejamie, on 10/30/2007, -2/+8SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!!
- madroneDorf, on 10/29/2007, -1/+6Is this football stadium like a football stadium from a decent sized highschool,or is it a football stadium like Rungrado stadium?
Can you sit primates on the stairs? How about the restrooms. Does it include the field? Can you stack them? Are we talking Cubic meters here? - webcure, on 10/30/2007, -2/+7Hey now, that was a clever maneuver.
Hit them with a moving environmental story and then make the comments section into a rave about Bush and his similarity to monkeys.
What technique!
OK, so go enjoy the monkeeman!

That is suxmonkey for you. ;) - KirbyMeister, on 10/29/2007, -5/+10Because humans aren't part of nature? Did we suddently become unnatural the moment we became sentient? Is sentience unnatural?
- Kitsune818, on 10/29/2007, -0/+5We're not even concerned about our own sustainability, why would we care about the lower primates?
- BillGod, on 10/30/2007, -2/+7Man I would hate to be on that clean up crew.
- NJank, on 10/29/2007, -1/+5Two men enter. One man leaves.
- Sail3, on 08/04/2009, -3/+6Is it just me, or does that seem like a whole lot of monkeys?
- Ordos, on 10/29/2007, -7/+10Because its our fault to begin with. Cars, factories, and natural destruction are human caused, not natural selection. It is an outside force acting on nature and we are to blame.
- cl0r0x70, on 10/29/2007, -0/+3Well, because it is not an infinite number of monkeys, you wouldn't get the greatest novel ever written. Maybe an issue of National Review.
- livejamie, on 10/30/2007, -4/+7holy *****, people like you exist?
- Frei, on 10/29/2007, -1/+4Ordos is a Scientologist.
- amoro99, on 10/29/2007, -0/+3*****
- buckrogers1965, on 10/30/2007, -2/+4We haven't the right to kill an entire species just because we like roaring around in cars and eating TV dinners. If it were for our survival, that is one thing; to do it uncaring, without regard to any consequences, simply for our own comfort, then that is the height of hubris.
Pride goes before the fall. - leetleo, on 10/29/2007, -3/+5Natural selection is for fogies! As an American, I support manual selection, that is, I define the path of evolution by killing off the individuals I deem unfit.
- leetleo, on 10/30/2007, -2/+4We, as an environmental pressure to monkeys, will aid them in their evolution, by hastening the process of natural selection. In a few generations they will become superchimps, impervious to even the most potent human weaponry! Cue planet of the apes.
- trenchcoat, on 10/29/2007, -0/+2The Denver Broncos because that's who "Simeon" Rice plays for.
For those who don't get it...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simian - buckrogers1965, on 10/29/2007, -2/+4OK, I am confused by these units of measure. How many station wagons full of monkeys would one stadium of monkeys be equal to?
- NapalmNewt, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2Seconded because 0vlv0 has no critical thinking skills.
- fonetikly, on 10/29/2007, -0/+2But would you have enough "Raider Nation" t-shirts for all of them?
- decker12, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1100k people in the stands plus probably another 50k or more on the field, and that's just where USC plays. Imagine Wembley Stadium and it doesn't sound like a very alarming headline at all.
- gudnbluts, on 11/01/2007, -0/+1You'd end up with seevral thousand poo-smeared typewriters.
- thanakar, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1Many of them would fit nicely on my dinner plate, right beside the mashed potatoes!
- Renuvian, on 10/29/2007, -1/+2Lets do it.
- Mullinator, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1Then the other man leaves after being declared the winner.
- qwertydvorak, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1"oh and I also heard that Bush eats human babies for Thanksgiving dinner"
you should see where they cram the stuffing... - ubpsanity, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1I wonder if it would be a Rangers vs Celtic game?
- Y0tsuya, on 10/29/2007, -2/+3Can someone convert this to metric system for non-Americans?
- bullhead2007, on 11/05/2007, -3/+4How DARE you insult Star Trek like that a-hole. Look the Prime Directive was in place to not interfere with any species that isn't capable of faster than light technology. It's way too complicated for someone like you to understand I'm sure, but essentially if they go in and meddle it can weaken the existing species or nullify an up and coming one.
Besides where's your god for all the suffering and sick in the world? He seems to be following the Prime Directive pretty well. - John370, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1LOL!!!
- incendiarylvr, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1People don't take this seriously because 1) they drive SUV's and don't care about anything or anyone but themselves or 2) They feel powerless to do anything about it.
There is more that can be done, that has to be done. And it doesn't require Blackwater! To start with, industrialized countries need to reduce consumption all around. For instance most our meat come the Amazon- its profitable to decimate the rain forest rather than considering the long term impact of such destruction.
Poverty in countries where several endangered species live is a severe problem. The world community is obligated to address this issue if any real progress is to be made. - livejamie, on 11/01/2007, -0/+1NO WAY, REALLY?
- miketherazor, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1because short of going to Africa and killing the poachers and people who are eating them and cutting down their trees to make room for farm land, what would you have us do? Have a concert? Nothing will change because most African governments are more corrupt than you can ever imagine. I would hate for the monkies to go away but unless we send in Blackwater to protect them, there ain't much we can do.
- Technopope, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1Another vague article worded to make us think the world as we know it is coming to an end.
Not defined is if those endangered primates are in seats, on the field or fitted into the space of a football stadium. The article is from India, so it is likely soccer/football they are referring to, but they fail to mention WHICH stadium, and how all these monkeys are arranged. Are they shoulder to shoulder, or do they each have room for a typewriter?
The sports stadium here in Houston (Reliant Park) has a seating capacity of over 71,000 and a field size of 97,000 sq. feet. You could fit rather a lot of monkeys in an area that size, considering the very few types listed in links from the article are MUCH smaller than humans.
An informative article would list the actual numbers of these endangered primates to give us a real idea of what we are dealing with. - onisamsha, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1I nominate this comment for the most ill-conceived, least thought about, and most non-applicable statement of the day.
Any diggers to second? - smithfly114, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1...and then they would all kill each other and become extinct, good idea.
- phenolholic, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1a packed stadium with monkeys is a typical miami dolphins (or insert other football team) game
- miketherazor, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1not if you could teach them karate and knife throwing before the hunt......
- thumperings, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1first off the title is misleading. You coudl fit every human being in a football stadium if you stacked them right. Are we assuming each primate has a seat or what?
- mandarin, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1Of course you can fit them in a stadium. Heck you can just use a college basketball court. We're not talking about King Kong here.
- sbgunn, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1Football stadiums are pretty big-- over a 100,000 people.
- onisamsha, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1deep down, i know replying to you is pointless. i'm yelling at a wall through which no facts, ideas, or explanations can penetrate. And the bricks in the wall? not cinder block, just blind faith.
