That shot does a great job of showing relative size, and may I say that Tiger Shark is freaking huge. - pbaehr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15"Hey, where do you think you're going with my milk crate?!"
- jellyroll713, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Looks like she has crabs.

Nice closeup

As I diver, I am committed to preserving nature. We observe, and unless the person responsible is stupid or purposely destructive, we disturb nothing. Trust me, the fish don't care if we float on above them, and I have never known a diver to purposely destroy coral or needlessly hurt the environment (The exception is spearfishing, but thats no worse then regular fishing). Most divers and dive instructors are conservationists, and are responsible for sinking wrecks for new habitats for fish to attempt to replace their rapidly shrinking coral reefs. Please, Paul, explain how you see it as disturbing nature. I take it you have never dived before? - dknighton, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7You're disturbing me too.
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6What happened 5 years ago?
- pbaehr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I wish people would stop disturbing me like you.
- jk103, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5How are divers disturbing the environment? I guess actually providing a reason would detract from your mindless reply.
- afrojap, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7mmh Suuushiii....
- Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5If sharks could speak that one would say "Howdy!"
- TheGnome, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Amazing. I love diving. I wish I had a good underwater camera... I also wished i didn't live in the desert...
- Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -0/+4resembles this one:

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4That would be sashimi, that is, just the raw fish.
Sushi have rice. - rlutterb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4That's funny, this why I DON'T dive:

are going to keep me awake tonight. That, my friends, is scary. - ringo380, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3This gallery reminds me of why I hate the Flickr community. The shots are great, but the people there can't just appreciate them for what they are, they have to make these "Your composition is adequate, but the lighting on the crab's right eye is off-toned and therefore contrasts with the overall color scheme of the oceanic vista" comments.
I can see this kind of thing in deviantart, where the main purpose is to receive critiques from other artists, but Flickr is just a place to share your damn pictures. - yableo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2people who fish with cyanide or dynamite are DISTURBING NATURE. not divers.
- afrojap, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3uhh.. Welcome to the intarweb?
- TheGnome, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nah, I go other places. I don't get to dive nearly as much as I want too.
- devindotcom, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Go watch the Blue Planet! You can get the DVD set for like 20 bucks on amazon. It's worth every penny if you like these shots.
- rossinio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't know about you but I'd be pretty amazed if my family was randomly eaten by sharks :)
like, "pass the potatoes dear.." BAM *shark attack* - Casedot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this one freaked me out

"im soooo rooonery, so very roooonery...." - Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -1/+2...you clicked on it
- blackbeard123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@casedot::: speaking of being scary... spearfishing in Hawaii one day, a buddy of mine and i were trying to spear taco (squid) and a barracuda swam out of his hole in the reef, and CHOMPED right down on my friends ear. apparently they are attracted to shiny objects, and homeboy forgot to take out his earring! lost a fat piece of his ear.
- NewPunk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow. There are some weird looking sea creatures out there! Some that are beautiful and some are butt ugly. An amazing collection of creatures from the depths none-the-less. Dugg.
- llbbl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought it said "This is why we Die".
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@gir53457
"If sharks could speak that one would say "Howdy!" "
And if sharks could see this slide show, they'd think it was an awesome buffet table! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Marked as inaccurate - There are 2501 photos, not 2500!
- musntSurfatWork, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I found NEMO!

- crystalphoenix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Oh wow, those are some gorgeous pictures. I only wish I could have an opportunity to see some of these beauties up close.
If only water was as pretty and clear everywhere... - WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Maybe it's time to drop some acid!
- Ryetronics, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1JellyRoll would hit it.
- MrPerfect, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1She's got some big ass crabs.
- rtbenson, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2The only possible explanation for all of this diversity and color must be an intelligent designer. Nothing else could have made this.
/sarcasm - afrojap, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Yes.
- y0himba, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1What is truly pathetic? The morons here that are adding pointless sex references to truly beautiful pictures. You don't look cool to everyone here, you are desperate, and pathetic. You are probably some skinny, pimple covered 12 year old geek, or some fat 40 hairy year old man who can't make it in society or hold a job.
Thanks for posting this, these pictures are wonderful. Sorry about the pathetic idiots above. - BrainRecall, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Yes.
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1wait....sooo...what do you dive for in the desert? Lizards?
