- pmcall221, on 10/12/2007, -2/+98Magnets attract because they are polarized. Each little molecule has a positive and negative side. In magnets they all face the same way. When you chop them up they become little tiny magnets. Breaking them up forces them to face any which way. Magnetic power is reduced and all you get is a big clump of dust.
- ReBeLaCe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+44Apparently you never took shop in highschool and were made to watch the "why you should wear these ridiculous safety glasses" video
- Nougat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+35im in ur blender chopping ur itemz
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31Dugg for one of few intelligent comments on Digg
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Will it stop :-/?
- CraigJ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19You did - magnets blend. Bet you didn't know that before.
- snurfle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18OK...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw2sP6eyVXw - SkippyDoorknob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Crazy things happen when you chop up magnets.
- DenTPuzz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17No apparent reason? If I was putting metal into a blender and then standing right next to it, I'd be wearing more than just safety glasses!
- mindsnare, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Dugg purely for the flux capacitor call
- ph3rny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Carol never wore her glasses
now she doesn't need them - saladtossser, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14is it just me or did the magnets stop working? i sorta imagined a magnetic sphere at the end
- InfiniteNothing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9The more you start randomly organizing a bunch of magnets, the more the dipoles don't align anymore and it becomes just like any other material. There are no monopoles.
- snurfle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8That crowbar in the intro!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7What's with the cheesy shot of earth slowing down.
- boran, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I really thing the gyt that invented the will-it-blend stuff is a marketing genius. One of the few successful viral-marketing strategies i've seen so far. Simply by being honest about it (something other viral marketing strategies seem to have a little trouble with)
- S1ngular1ty1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6The particles are still magnetic because you can't break up a magnet into just a north pole, or just a south pole. But if all the particles are randomly laid out on a table and their poles are all facing different directions some of them will cancel others out and the overall magnetic attraction will be reduced. Oddly enough this is why most objects are not magnetic. Most objects are composed of randomly oriented molecules or atoms. All their bits are randomly oriented so there is no net magnetic attraction.
- daRoach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah too bad the prequels sucked.
- atticboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You cause pain in my soul.
- nyx210, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Yes! It blends!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Who wouldnt want magnet dust
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@OpenFuture
How could you do that? - bucketgirl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I love that that this guy is somehow the person at BlendTec with the *most* personality.
- thumbup, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Don't breathe that.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4this is way past getting old.
- atticboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I can't wait to digg down the first person that says "What prequels?".
- dadrew1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That is an extremely impressive video, snurfle! HAHA! That's actually a rather ingenious way of launching all of them!
- Tallon29, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2For $400 it better blend anything you put in it!
- jake8689, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sweet magnetic dirt
- cdreiling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What I really want to know is if that toupee blends.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great Scott!
- eugeneandbobo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i second that
- atticboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Did I miss something? Who are you arguing against? You're just rehashing the past two knowledgeable comments.
- cardyology, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What I wanna know is "will anything NOT blend?"
- MrPlug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ah these guys are great, love how they brought Back to the Future in there, so nerdy i love it
- TeKoverride, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1for some reason i was expecting an explosion even though i knew it wouldn't happen
- atticboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's not specified on the site or in the manual, but I assume the blade to be made of Titanium, which is a non-ferrous alloy.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Back to the Future 1-3 are good movies
- halosniper7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1did anyone notice that most of the cool blends are in the intro! they need to release them! i want matches.
- atticboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You must be new here. Welcome to Digg!
- LaSepultura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Another use for the blender, making homemade Etch A Sketches.
- jmkiii, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Slightly stickcy dust! MMMMMM!
- TheTjalian, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Don't you mean THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE US DOLLARS?
- rid1425, on 11/24/2008, -0/+0hi... wow amazing!! i also have article about magnetic.Pls read at
http://magnetic-knee-brace.blogspot.com - Xionic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They should try to blend a BlendTec blender. I'd be comedy gold.
- MikeWeller, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1http://www.willitblend.com/videos.aspx?type=unsafe
Looks like they recently added a load of news ones... man I love these. - nelswick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Some of these are fake. If you watch the tape measure video, there is a large chunk of exterior case in the blender and then it vanishes when he dumps it onto the cardboard.

After dumping: http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/4351/10313237if1.jpg - kb0x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You have far too much time on your hands.
- BlackSheep720, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Cool! I can use these in my flux capacitor!
Hey Baby! Get the Dalorean! - tformed, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0wouldnt one have been attracted to the blade.
