At the same time, they will use what we falsely label "public relations" to convince us they are being magnanimous, and are really on our side. It is really public deception. We are volunteers, pretending to be victims; feeling sorry for ourselves; paralyzed into fearful subjugation, never realizing it is all an elaborate illusion. Freedom for all, only happens when all of us act together in unison to assertively, non-violently confront those adopting the idea and roles of Authority, and demand an end to it. They cannot then escape accountability.
