- LecherousVenom, on 10/12/2007, -6/+44Personally, I enjoy my hostage rescue missions with hardcore guitar dick-rock.
Unbelievably cheesy soundtrack choices aside, a good video - my f'in tax dollars at work for something measurably good.
If only other G'vt agencies could work as with the same badass effectiveness.......hello, DMV??- Mousse, on 10/12/2007, -4/+33Dear god, the editing was horrible! It would have been a lot better without the annoying music and graphics.
- Flashman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Lisa: "Dad, there are other wipes besides star wipe."
Homer: "Yeah, but why eat hamburger when you can have steak?" - pagit, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6I don't mind the footage, however,
Why is it called the "Italian Job" at the beginning when it is Americans rescuing a Polish businessman ? I guess the "Polish Job" doesn't sound sexy.
How about the headline news after the rescue? Couldn't it look just a tad more real so I couldn't care ?
I love the editing of the soundtrack of the editor's 5 favorite songs that have nothing to do with the subject matter that just abruptly cut to a each song with no fades or anything.
I've done better wipes in the bathroom
Production values aside good job rescuing the businessman - themastersb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Something is wrong with his Crosscom. There's a bunch of white lines.
- pseudojd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1good MOOOOOOOOORRRNINGG.
- RadiantBeing, on 10/12/2007, -10/+40My life feels like a waste when I see people my age doing great things like this.

- desuka, on 10/12/2007, -12/+14what is that horrid song...Audioslave or something?
is that supposed to "pump me up" and make me feel more "american" ??- hangtown, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8The only reason I can come up with for the music was the helmet cam had no audio. Still, the music sucked. Great job by the forces, though. Those people work for a living.
- CupBeEmpty, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22Anyone doing what they just did can put whatever crap soundtrack they want to the video of them being a badass.
It takes some real gall to see that and then bitch about the soundtrack. - charlescheese, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Surprise, another Digger who craps on other people to show us all how kick ass he is.
WTF people, who cares what other music people like, not everyone has to conform to you and your coolness.
- sestalker, on 10/12/2007, -5/+53America, ***** Yeah! Comin To Save The Muthuh ***** Day-Yah!
would have been better with Team America Music WTF?- kbox, on 10/12/2007, -30/+2I was waiting for the obligatory "America! ***** yeh" comment..
Congrats on being the stereotypical predictable American of the day!
Next time add in a "freedom!!" for extra points. - jlylereeves, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14kbox, freedom isnt free, it cost a buck-o-five. i think you missed the point of the movie and comment.
- kbox, on 10/12/2007, -25/+2It is free... you have just been brainwashed into thinking it requires an army so your moron leader can take you all to war against third world countries.
FREEdom... FREEdom, see how that works? FREE - mrlost117, on 10/12/2007, -6/+15*** this just in ***

- kbox, on 10/12/2007, -22/+1Stupid americans... do you not see why the entire planet ***** hates you?
You are so far up your own asses it's unreal. Get into ther real world morons.
All you have to do is show you idiots a video with the army in it and you cream your pants like a bunch of bitches. - tamzarian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The entire planet does not hate Americans. You and your extremist friends do. Don't be pissed because you aren't free, do something about it. That's how the US came about, we didn't like our overlords, so we DID something about it. We didn't whine about how other countries suck, we made our own.
Now go finish packing that dynamite up your ass and come back after the troops at the U.S. Embassy fires a .50 cal at your head for intruding on the premises with an explosive...
If you can find your brains that were scattered all over the pavement, that is. - kbox, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1haha i live in England you cocksmoker... we invented freedom. It's only you guys who think its soemthing new that you invented!
- AMCer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"haha i live in England you cocksmoker... we invented freedom."
You think? Funny, I can LEGALLY own guns without being hassled by the government, can you?
Heck, I can LEGALLY own machine guns... can you?
I can walk down the street without being watched by police cameras... can you?
I can take a drive through our cities without paying a special tax... I don't get wt ached while driving by cameras (no speed or red-light camera in my state)... can you?
I can watch my TV WITHOUT paying a TV tax... can you?
I can even buy AND SELL products in measures OTHER THAN metric... can you?
So, how's the state of freedom in the UK these days?
- kbox, on 10/12/2007, -30/+2I was waiting for the obligatory "America! ***** yeh" comment..
- wurzelgummage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Worst kidnappers, ever. Did they try and hide under the bed?
I bet that wasn't the last "POW" to the head those fools got, either.- bobothn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Seriously what would you do. did you see the list of almost 40 people working in that raid. and 8 helicopters. If i saw that landing in my back yard i would be pissing my self even if i didnt do something to piss them off.
- AMCer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Pretty stupid guys....
Towelhead 1: "Hey, Abdul, what's all that loud noise?
Towelhead 2: "Sounds like a bunch of helicopters landing in our yard, Mohammad."
Towelhead 1: "Do you think we should run?"
Towelhead 2: "Nah, the stupid infidels will never find us in this solitary house!"
Towelhead 1: "Yes, you are right. Praise allah."
BOOM!
Towelhead 2: "Oh, *****."

// Filed under "Educational" ? - LavaHot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30It would have been a good video if I couldhave actually SEEN the rescue. WTF is up wioth the white bars?
- Agret, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Yea I agree, why the hell are they there. At first I thought it was a problem with the equipment but then when they moved them around I realised it was a digital addition. Why?
- nick0909, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6Maybe they wanted to obfuscate the content/faces/whatever? This is hosted on a french site as well... the US might have issues with someone taking home movies of their fun raids.
It could just be the horrific dust, vibrations, and wind caused by the helo flight too... who knows. - alski707, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10The white lines are very likely not addictions, but most likely either:
- the video was being recorded on a mini analogue or digital video tape recorder, and the soldier moving around a lot caused the tape heads to move out of alignment, causing the lines to move up and down the screen as the tape travelling along the recording heads gradually realigned and then got knocked out of sync again. Or…
- the video was being sent by a microwave transmitter the effectiveness of which depends on the antenna being pointed in the vague direction of the receiver, most likely installed on one of the transport helicopters, or one that was orbiting above while providing air cover, anything such as thick areas of concrete or large metal structures inside the building would cause the signal to break up, why it would cause the lines to move up and down I cant explain, but the lines are clearly interference of some kind and not something that’s been added later.
- desuka, on 10/12/2007, -50/+7seriously, one of the songs says "you're my mortal enemy" a few times! cmon now.
guys, could you shove more propaganda down my throat please??
it's worse than hiding those please-join-the-army sentiments in my video games.- hangtown, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22You try doing something this dangerous on a routine basis, then maybe you'll have some credence. Yeah, the music sucked, but that's all. Whatever you think of the war, how you can not appreciate what these guys do is beyond me. Maybe you are just a real idiot.
- lakawak, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25So, you are unhappy with considering terrorists who take civilians hostage out enemies now? What would you like to call them? Our misunderstood acquaintences?
- cyberdork, on 10/12/2007, -11/+14Ehm, most of the hostage takers in Iraq are local criminals who are looking for a good ransom. But I guess nowadays every Arab criminal is called a terrorist...
- charlescheese, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Ahh, so people kidnapping people are your mortal friends. Congrats, here's a free admission pass to a madrassa. If you can't recognize your enemy (when they are kidnapping, killing, and decapitating your countrymen), you will surely be defeated by them. Maybe you would prefer they didn't release the video, and you could remain uninformed?
- lakawak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4cyberdick...anyone who takes a hostage for whatever reason is a terorrist. And certainly an enemy of civlized society. so the original comment in this thread is still ridiculous.
- iLEZ, on 10/12/2007, -25/+8Is this stutter-metal music obligatory for rah rah american military videos? Imagine when the families in Poland watch this on google video. "Oh there is my husband! He's safe!" Soundtrack: "I´m here without you bayyyybayy! Uh think abaaaat uuuu all the taaaahm! *male wailing*"
I´m just saying, don´t try to entertain us while showing the bravery of your troops. It's watchable as it is. This could have worked great with just the audio or simply silence. Don't make the internet-legacy of this conflict be a terabyte of stutter-metal filled cheesy homemade recruitment videos of 20-year olds with heavy machineguns, kicking kidnappers in the face.- Agret, on 10/12/2007, -4/+31Dude this is obviously a video done by one of the soldiers, he has no idea how to edit and he just put some of his favorite tunes onto the vid. You can't blame the government for all your problems.
3 Doors Down ftw - iLEZ, on 10/12/2007, -20/+8Government? Problems?
I live in Sweden. - charlescheese, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Oh relax! It's just some music, it's not going to rot your frickin' brain! We get it, you've told us all, your taste in music is better than everyone, and everyone should just STFU because you can tell us what good music is now. Okay, what is good music? You've defined bad, what's the good? Nit pick. Nit Pick. Nit Pick.
- Agret, on 10/12/2007, -4/+31Dude this is obviously a video done by one of the soldiers, he has no idea how to edit and he just put some of his favorite tunes onto the vid. You can't blame the government for all your problems.
- strongsauce, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Video good. Music horrible. But what really counts is that they saved that guy.
How did this video get out anyways? I assume the government wouldn't allow something like this to be released. - crash331, on 10/12/2007, -16/+4Crappy music and what's up with the white bars? Please don't tell me they added those in Windows Movie Maker along with the crappy transitions.
- Toydriver, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Do any of you whiners want some cheese with your whine?
This was just some GI with a small camera taped to his helmet not some gov plot. - Acqua206, on 10/12/2007, -16/+1Are you seriously that dense? Those white bars were put there on purpose to hide the faces of the US Seal Team. You notice how the bars move up to show the faces of the hostages but come back down as soon as one of the SF guys face moves into the same level as them?
- theoallardyce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Thats complete ***** and you know it, you can see US faces very clearly near the end without lines on them and the lines start when hes still in the helicopter.
- theoallardyce, on 10/12/2007, -16/+5Thats nice, but does anyone have a copy of the video without ***** RETARDED ADDITIONS such as pointless white-lines and ***** retarded music, I would actually like to see the picture and hear the original audio if thats not too much to ask?
- Steener, on 10/12/2007, -20/+24:48 of my life i wont get back now. white bars are just retarted, ***** way to block faces if thats really what they tried to do.

Anyways, cool video. Suck it Bin laden.- chijim70, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13As stated below... Seals are Navy (and ARE special forces!) and Delta force is a subset (or higher defined you could say) to them amongst others like the army. Read up before posting nonsense please. Delta are normally army but are actually elite enough to be drawn in skill from all branches and are well known to not be from any branch and unable to speak of what they do even to family. If anything... they are comperable to CIA agents who fight.
- anbublackops, on 07/30/2008, -0/+1You are...an idiot. SEALs are a Special Operations Force. In the US Military, the term "Special Forces" refers exclusively to the United States Army Special Forces.
As for what you said about Delta; "Delta are normally army but are actually elite enough to be drawn in skill from all branches and are well known to not be from any branch", you are mistaken. While Delta, or Combat Applications Group, does recruit from other military branches, it is an Army unit.
So next time, YOU read up before posting nonsense. - anbublackops, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1There are a bunch of other mistakes, but I'm not going to waste my time pointing them out.

Its just too bad stories like this don't get out in the main stream media. People need to know that things like this are happening there regardless of what side of the issue you are on. - AhronZombi, on 10/12/2007, -38/+3i had to jump in and say

- RickySan65, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4In one frame it says "Navy seals, we are here to resue you", hmm, then a few frames later, "hostages rescued by Delta Force". Well which one is it, if the dod don't know, how the hell should everyone else?!
- volscio, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Delta is made up of volunteers and selectees from various services, but primarily special operations units because of easier access to training slots.
And obviously some knuckle-dragger made this video. They're not known for their computer skills. - firewrx612, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Perhaps the Navy SEAL thing was a cover. The video says "A SQDN Rescue" I believe SFOD-D is organized into Squadrons where as SEALS are organized into Teams and Boat Crews.
- volscio, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Delta is made up of volunteers and selectees from various services, but primarily special operations units because of easier access to training slots.
- chijim70, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20Those who say "***** the troops" best have some pretty activist credentials behind them here at home about what they are doing to change things in our government. Not to mention some explanation as to why we should not think you are an ***** who knows absolutely nothing of American history or the civics of democracy. Most uneducated jerks take pot shots without explanation because they have none.
I don't agree with 90% of what our government is doing for ages now. I am not a republican nor a democrat. I DO WHOLE HEARTED SUPPORT MY COUNTRIES TROOPS! Perhaps youth or ignorance allows you the convenience of a poor opinion of our fighting men. That mindless music you heard... it is probably what it takes to get your mind and soul into and continuing to take such a hell on earth that war is. To stay motivated. In this video they should be proud as hell. They did something very just, reasonable, and decent. What kind of retard would criticize the video quality (probably highly edited for many obvious reasons) of a mere rescue mission? Are you seriously that much of an *****? Did you wake up this morning, have some coffee, log into the Internet and think... "how can I make myself look like an ***** today?"???
The cause that our troops fight for is determined by YOU! WHAT YOU SEE TO BE THE AMERICAN CAUSE IS WHAT THEY FIGHT FOR MINDLESSLY AND OBEDIENTLY! MANY of them are not so mindless, but training is about obedience without question... make no mistake about that. Regardless of what any of them think... they obey the will of a NATION! That or they will be shot or imprisoned in war time. This is military law! A law that the government you uphold has defined. Laws that you have defined or ignored by ignorance (which is your own fault) or by lack of concern to change them.
So when you get all self righteous sitting there at home enjoying the freedom that a million military men have given you WITH THEIR VERY LIVES to criticize whatever THE HELL you like... perhaps you should get off your fat happy sitting at home ass, and do something about what put these obedient weapons of American complacency in that living hell in the first place!
hmmmm???
I am just sick of hearing you lazy bastards sit at home and do nothing but bitch. Want them home? Want injustice to end? Get off your ***** talking hump and get out with a sign for a day. Start a petition. Make a website to organize a march in your home town. Don't post your self righteous ***** until you can begin it with what you are doing to change it!
OTHERWISE... SHUT THE ***** UP!
The truth is, if all you are is talk... you're just full of *****.- IHaveIssues, on 10/12/2007, -16/+4You need meds.

- BigJuiceMan, on 10/12/2007, -11/+1seriously...seek help
- chijim70, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Delta Force is elite of Navy Seals and both work hand in hand... read up before you make yourself look stupid.
- Beamish, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"Delta Force is elite of Navy Seals"
Well, considering Delta Force is a US Army Unit and the Navy SEALS are, obviously, a US Navy Unit what exactly did that mean?
Are you ignorant of the facts or just inept at writing sentences in English?
And may I add: "... read up before you make yourself look stupid." - prizim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_Force
- Beamish, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"Delta Force is elite of Navy Seals"
- AnGryTreE, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Video production simply is not relevant. What is relevant is what it shows...troops doing their job and saving innocent lives. I may not be a fan of the current admin's war mongering but, that doesn't stop me from recognizing heroes when I see them.
Frankly I'd consider it an honour to shake the hand of each of those troops who partcipated in this rescue.- chijim70, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Too true!
- zionad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I agree
- chijim70, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3"IHaveIssues - You need meds."
Why? Because I am not complacent, uneducated, and ignorant enough?
Yes, perhaps a solid addiction to OxyContin would help me see the light...- IHaveIssues, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1Yes.
- Greyhaven7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Awesome! I hope my brother can bring back some cool vids when comes home.
The Rangers do similar kinda' things, right? (He can't ever tell me what he actually does over there when he calls).
Anyway, Congrats and thank you to the soldiers in this video, I appreciate your dedication! - sgcarney, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0Hey, I've played this game before.
- poorbusker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Rangers do work with Special Forces teams, usually as support, but these days they are being used more and more in these kind of missions.
- volscio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3They don't do work with SF really. Don't confuse special ops with SF.
- InvisibleMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Counter-Terrorists Wins!
On a more serious note, good job guys, thanks for doing a great job. - kavaliro, on 10/12/2007, -11/+1Kudos for rescuing the guy. But please note the date at the end. That would be 2004. Undigg on account of being old as heck and the fact that it conveniently came out just in time for the election polls. Sensationalism to get Repubican votes? Sure seems that way to me.
- jsd8cc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"Sensationalism to get Repubican votes? Sure seems that way to me."

- Cymrubeats, on 10/12/2007, -10/+0What's with the irritating pop metal ***** as a soundtrack? If i wanted to hear that pish, i would hang out with mulleted 12yr olds or play some crappy ps2 games. No digg simply because i'm sick to the ***** back teeth of trailer dweller music.
- jsun, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Who cares about the music? Hit mute if you do not like it. These guys have balls to do this day in and day out. The soundtrack could have been the Barney theme for all I care. It is good to see those guys being unchained and free again.
- domusvita, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Where's my Kenny Loggins??????
- kdehead, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1would have been better with banging techno soundtrack.
- smshepard, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Nice Footage. Questionable soundtrack. At different times during the video entitled: Special Forces Hostage Rescue" seems to be uncertain who is in charge. Towards the end, the Special Forces (Army) become (Navy) Seals and at one point are referred to as the Delta Force. A bit confusing as these are THREE separate arms of the US military. Perhaps this was a joint effort...?
- ray023, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Closed the browser window as soon as the music started playing.
- gyrfalcon, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2They land the helicopters right around the building in a tight ring... Would have been a much different video if the kidnappers setup a few claymores around the perimeter.
If you don't get what I'm saying... if they had a few IED's, basically you would have a lot of dead gung-ho idiots.- lakawak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5That is what surveillance is for dumb ass. You think they just flew in there all willy nilly?
- gyrfalcon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"That is what surveillance is for dumb ass. You think they just flew in there all willy nilly?"
Yes I do; *****... You think you can spot a claymore or IED with surveillance? A satchel charge is not a friggen SAM site.
You might have a point if they had someone infiltrate the camp; but that's not the way willy nilly asshats do it.
- Retardotron, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I just love how the ops that go off without a hitch are the ones that just happen to have cameras along to tape the whole thing. The way these things get packaged up and rubbed in our faces by the party line pep squad, I don't think I'd be surprised if the Polish guy got on t.v. a few months from now to refute the whole "rescue" angle. I'm not saying that's actually going to happen, but after Jessica your guys' credibility with this kind of thing is pretty much spent.
- Broelke4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've seen videos of rescues that didn't go so well.
If I remember corrctly one or two of the soldiers were shot, not killed, but hurt pretty bad.
And one of the hostage takers got away.
