- DeviantDragon, on 01/28/2008, -7/+297I don't exactly see a saw in their trick.
- surf314, on 01/28/2008, -2/+119Also, many magicians just recycle the same tricks over and over again. Instead of innovating and coming up with their own routines and illusions they just use the same ones that people have been doing for years. By revealing how some of these stale tricks are done you are forcing magicians to come up with something new and at the same time giving normal people an interesting look into how these illusions are done. To me it's a win win. I think it would make Houdini happy knowing that people can't make money off tricks he invented.
- TheAcidQueen, on 01/28/2008, -4/+105Dugg for thin Penn!
- inactive, on 01/28/2008, -9/+92that song is ***** up
- kaelyiesta, on 01/28/2008, -1/+76Penn and Teller believe, and I agree, that 'magic' is still interesting after being explained. They prove this often in their shows by showing how the trick is done then doing the trick. The audience is still delightfully bewildered despite having just seen how they did it.
- kidendless, on 01/28/2008, -8/+81they are SO out of the magician's alliance!
- domdunc, on 01/28/2008, -0/+69Penn and Teller claim they only reveal the secret to a trick if the secret is more entertaining than the trick itself.
- Erteert, on 01/28/2008, -3/+60And all this time I thought it was a midget running around! Seriously though, good job explaining the trick!
- CheeseburgerBro, on 01/28/2008, -1/+52No need to watch the video. Like all truly awesome charlatans, they use the power of Dianetics.
- Moloth, on 01/28/2008, -1/+46Wow... Penn was SKINNY back then. O_o
- schleppo, on 01/28/2008, -5/+42The saw is a lie
- themastersb, on 01/28/2008, -0/+35That's the type of music you'd find as an intro to a 90's cartoon.
- procopio, on 01/28/2008, -1/+36A indication of how old this is.
- LemonDefragger, on 01/28/2008, -3/+37The alliance is not going to like this.
- rarson, on 01/28/2008, -1/+34Magic is about the art of illusion. Penn and Teller show you how they do their tricks because they're not trying to scam you into some ***** idea of magic.
For some people, learning how a trick is done ruins it. Perhaps it's because I used to do magic when I was very young, but I'm more interested in the ingenuity behind the illusions. These people should be recognized for their ingenious thinking. - rspeed, on 01/28/2008, -0/+31*****. The cup and ball trick is thousands of years old.
- scanman20, on 01/28/2008, -2/+27recycle the same tricks over and over again = Criss Angel
- inactive, on 01/28/2008, -1/+25i'm glad there are many fans of the greatest magician of all time, GOB. penn and teller could never make a boat dissapear
- Ludwig, on 01/28/2008, -11/+35Hello 12-years ago.
Funny. I was telling someone about this trick not too long ago.
Also, there is no saw. - Linzee82, on 01/28/2008, -0/+20Most magicians just use the saw for visual effect. The trick is still done the same way.
- Luminoth, on 01/28/2008, -1/+21Tell your uncle to learn some new tricks then. You can't blame Penn and Teller for your uncle being lazy.
- JavertHolmes, on 01/28/2008, -0/+19I'd contact the moderators/editors of Wikipedia then. Apparently they falsely documented a painting as being from 1475-1480 showing the cups and ball trick when clearly it's much more recent. They also claim "The effect known as acetabula et calculi was performed by Roman conjurers as far back as two thousand years ago."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cups_and_balls - someuser90, on 01/28/2008, -3/+21Penn and Teller are funny, entertaining, have a bad ass attitude and they are outspoken atheists! (well, teller isn't very outspoken :P but you know what I mean). They rule!
- wondertwins, on 01/28/2008, -1/+18this song sounds like from duck tales or chip dale to the rescue
in stead of like "DUCK TALES!! WOO HOO!" Its "TRAP DOOR!" - Balanced, on 01/28/2008, -3/+19But how does the Horde feel?

prepare to be suprised - tiberone, on 01/29/2008, -0/+16But still, where did the lighter fluid come from?
- centran, on 01/28/2008, -1/+17According to imdb Teller is 5'9" but I guess standing next to 6'6" Penn would make you seem like a midget.
- 0260, on 01/28/2008, -0/+15Come ON!
- Modizzle, on 01/28/2008, -1/+13Chuck Norris is a crazy evangelical bible-thumping bigoted idiot who could kiss my ass before he could kick it. Put that in your dumbass fact list.
- AlphaInsidious, on 01/28/2008, -1/+13You mean when Penn is carrying the box and a hand pops out? That's Penn's hand...
- inactive, on 01/28/2008, -0/+11penn is the big loud guy with long hair, teller is the small guy who is in the box...teller doesn't talk in their routines
- SkippyDoorknob, on 01/28/2008, -2/+13And this is really old too. This was on TV at least a decade ago.
- TheKarmaPolice, on 01/28/2008, -1/+12teller sticks his own hand through a hole.
- Frostman3D, on 01/28/2008, -0/+10That's pretty awesome. I mean, the timing is amazing.
- Oea420, on 01/28/2008, -0/+9come on (check the icon!)
- Jakerius, on 01/29/2008, -0/+9Try a ***** dictionary.

if so, good work - inactive, on 01/28/2008, -0/+9Here is a better version:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=UYTmEVFL_NA - inactive, on 01/28/2008, -0/+8i've made a huge mistake
- TheKarmaPolice, on 01/28/2008, -0/+8just watched that episode last night.
"where are we going to find a pair of beautiful women's legs on such short notice...?" - Vorin, on 01/28/2008, -2/+9http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penn_and_teller
- ngageguy, on 01/28/2008, -0/+7P & T always get my digg! Monkey Tuesday!
- ebolaworld, on 01/28/2008, -3/+10Why do they always explain the tricks that are already very obvious?
- BrentIrwin, on 01/28/2008, -0/+6Yall, you need to realize magic is an art form as much as drawing is, and you need to treat it with respect. It's not just a variety talent for you to make fun of all the time. Penn and Teller have their own unique style of performance and that shows what artistic geniuses they are.
- smrekar, on 01/28/2008, -2/+8this video got them kicked out of the alliance.
- inactive, on 01/28/2008, -4/+10The reason they explain it is because of the people out there are ***** morons and actually think magic is real. So they are actually trying to educate people and show that it is entertainment only.
- indiandudeo, on 01/28/2008, -0/+6Come On!
- ZincSaucier, on 01/28/2008, -0/+6the same way michael bay makes a semi transform into optimus prime
- adikt, on 01/28/2008, -3/+8I, for one, am glad they show how these tricks are done. We've been seeing the same tricks for over 100 years. Time for the "Magic (Illusionists) Circle" to come up with new illusions. I, mean, call a spade a spade.... Anyone who calls themselves a magician better be referring to the fact they're a level 24 wizard in Dungeons and Dragons or I'll kick their ass.... and I'll kick it for admitting they playing D&D as well. Either way, there is an ass kicking in their future.
