One Rotten Apple Spoils the Whole Bunch… Baby!
ya-ttitude.com — Good attitudes are contagious. Bad attitudes can spread even more quickly, and sometimes they come from unexpected places. Words, even said in jest, can contaminate a situation. People respond to both, so choose well. Also, a nice bonus tribute to the late Estelle Getty.

This is soo true. Just read the news. - BennyGreenberg, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10Attitude Adjustments, Digg.com and a Great Video Tribute to The late and great Estelle Getty... Today's Big 3
- amyoops, on 07/23/2008, -0/+13I'm feeling motivated now..
- kellfinder, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12I am always a positive person and it truly puzzles me when I see such negativity. Don't people understand that an optimistic and friendly attitude will not only get the further, but also make their day to day lives more pleasant? The important thing is not to let negative people drag you down. Cheers to keeping your glass always half full!
- scroogereport, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12Most excellent! ....and DUGG!
- BennyGreenberg, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Rocket Man!
- GetSmartGal, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10I know all about those bad apples...critics!
- Xette, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10I suppose it's true. But another thing was mentioned and that was 'things said in jest'. How people take things in jest depends on the culture one comes from. Some cultures are laid back and don't offended too easily while others do.
- KJeffV, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5Yeah; yeah; yeah. Blah, blah, blah.
- melward, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10"Be confident in you and the things you do and never let anyone enter and take control of YOUR mind." Perfect!!!
- ZenBen, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3I never let anyone control my mind. It is a full time job for me - why would I trust anyone else.
- elleigh2, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Soooo true! My EX-husband wanted to control everything I did even my thoughts! That is why he is my EX!
- alapoet, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9You know, every time I've had a story hit the front page, from the very first one to the one a few minutes ago, the boo-birds come out... It actually bothered me a little the first few times, but now I realize that's just part of life on Digg.
The cat-callers can be depended on whenever a story gets popular. I think of it as a mark of success!- LadyLibrary, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2Cat callers are one thing. But why the "copy-cat" syndrome. I think people just comment negatively or make stupid remark to seem smart or funny, and they do not...
- LadyLibrary, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10Problem is - people just try to be funny - never taking feelings into consideration. Many people just do not even read, they look at the comment or hear comments and then try to One-Up them. Nice work here, thanks.
- ZenBen, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7I never let anyone control my mind. It is a full time job for me - why would I trust anyone else.
- Bobzero, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Yes., this is so true and i am not one to get involved in all the boo birds that seem to come to life from the sewers of the world they were living in.
- opinionstreams, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Nice article. Keep 'em comin'
- lesleye, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5I'm a firm believer in the power of positive thinking and attitude. It helped me achieve an earth shattering personal goal - it WORKS!

- BennyGreenberg, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2you gotta love it just for Sophia!
- livelife365, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7Well said, Benny, and hang in there, Kelly. In the words of my late father, "don't let the (fill in the blank)'s get you down."

- kellfinder, on 07/25/2008, -0/+3I have been thinking about this more. I am hoping enough people will read this article and that it will make a positive impact. One bad seed can start a chain reaction but one great seed can make a longer lasting impression. Here's to planting more good seeds!
- kenbiz, on 07/25/2008, -0/+4Very good article posted on the blog, it was my pleasure to read the entire article.
- riptiki, on 07/26/2008, -0/+0Life isn't easy. Sure, a positive attitude is the key to getting through it. But a negative attitude should be able to be understood and met with compassion by those who are feeling positive. Pretending it doesn't exist or the person isn't feeling negative isn't realistic. It's nihilism, which is a form of pessimism. I have a hard time believing that someone who is truly positive really needs to worry about being brainwashed or "controlled" by the negative nelly. Truly positive people are stronger than that and know that negativity is just as much a part of daily life as positivity is.
- Mish69, on 08/20/2008, -0/+0Great post! I love it. It is so true what you say, being positive is the best way to get through life. Bravo.
