You should have had them do something non-axis aligned, or smaller, or just plain more attractive to the eye. Just the digg logo in outline text at 45deg in a corner would look 10x better than that.

Engraving comes under aesthetic enhancement that if has no direct to affect to workings of item does not affect your warranty!
