english: "worlds ends in 2012 ... just kidding lol" - withoutamartyr, on 06/14/2008, -1/+3I was honestly hoping for something vaguely prophetic, or for the most part rewarding.
Instead, I labour my way into just another PBS biography.- stonebear, on 06/14/2008, -0/+1Here ya go. Knock yourself out:

- tyywebb, on 06/14/2008, -1/+21I can't read that. THERE'S NO WORDS ON IT.
- elscorcho717, on 06/14/2008, -1/+8Apparently, they were very, very concerned with being accurate when it came to remembering on what date something happened. There, I just saved you 10 minutes of your life.
- VladTheInhala, on 06/14/2008, -0/+5That was stunning! I never knew the Mayans had such a sophisticated calendar system, so precise. And to think we overstate things nowadays, well over half of those hieroglyphs were just dates.
- marcc16, on 06/14/2008, -11/+3Something to think about...
The original Hieroglyphs were translated into modern day language, then into english, then into 0's and 1's, then into c++, then into Flash script, then into more c++ to make a browser capable of viewing the flash, then into html, css, php, and all the other web 2.0 loveliness, all so that you could waste your time looking at a dead language.
Be happy that I just saved you 5 minutes of your life.- sheepdays, on 06/14/2008, -0/+1This is actually part of the wonder of this amazing site. Translations upon translations leading us back into a specific moment of recorded history.
- VladTheInhala, on 06/14/2008, -1/+1And you wasted how much of your time typing all that out? About something you think is a waste of time? Oh the irony...
- dullnation, on 06/14/2008, -2/+1It's more how to interpret them, isn't it? Because I'm sure they could be interpreted in many different ways..
- Philmer, on 06/14/2008, -4/+3who is digging this just to look like you are interested, but actucaly just want to move on, and never look back?
- NinjaPirateDude, on 06/14/2008, -1/+2Mayans had flash errors just like us?
whoa....trippy........ - luv2lrn, on 06/14/2008, -0/+14Good thing the Spanish missionaries burned all their books - otherwise we might actually know a lot more about the Maya.

- Kzoo, on 06/14/2008, -0/+0Agreed, I caught it when it was broadcast, and quite enjoyed it.
Glad they didn't feel the need to make that particular episode 'cool,' some other recent ones they tried too hard to make the subject seem interesting to people who wouldn't be tuned in anyway.
