  • JoeParanoid, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3A whole generation of '50's - '60's actors came out of WWII and Korea on the GI Bill, like James Garner, James Arness, Jame Doohan, Michael Caine, Christopher Lee, Alec Guinness, Patrick MacNee, David Niven, Clint Eastwood, Eddie Albert, Paul Newman, and Charles Durning (who not only fought on Omaha Beach, he was also at the Battle of the Bulge).

    John Kerry was somewhat heroic and 'nam and of course Mr. Rogers had all those kills as a sniper and wore sweaters to hide his USMC tattoos ( yes yes, just an urban legend, I know)
