- WUThad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This video is laughable, I was expecting some deep, insightful challenge to my Christian faith and was waiting for some coherent arguments to be presented, there were none. It was obvious he was completely ignorant in regards to the Biblical Doctrine, but never was this more evident in question 9.
I'm sure all enlightened atheists and agnostics (those who have read the Bible and understand it, yet still choose to reject it) would cringe upon watching this video.
I don't feel like watching this video again, it's a very sad attempt to challenge my faith. However, if any of you want to watch this, and post the questions in these comments, I'd be happy to try and answer them in this setting. - Robin110, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Could you please produce a source for this statement
"Studies actually show that PRACTICING Christian families have a 2% divorce rate"
I'm just interested in reading it. - Robin110, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I am aspiring to be a 'enlightened atheist', as pompous as that sounds, and i did not cringe while watching this video. Although it wasn't the most intellectual approach to the subject, it could be a great tool for those on the path to free thought. Sometimes the best way to begin questioning god is to think about what god should be.
- mc7winkie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3This is quite possibly one of the most lame things ever. The answer to many of those questions is that there is free will. And because of free will many things can happen that would not happen in a perfect world. Does the person who made this think that he is some amazingly good generous person? His reasoning his also silly. He tries to complement you and insult you at the same time. I also hate how he tries to poke at things from the Old Testament. Many Christians, for one do not interpret the Old Testament literally because they have the New Testament. Also his bologna about divorces. Studies actually show that PRACTICING Christian families have a 2% divorce rate. That is when both the husband and wife go together. Finally most of these can be answered simply as I stated before. BECAUSE THERE IS FREE WILL. We are not predestined to do something and God does not simply go into the world and make it better. We are here and should try and make it better our selves and stop trying to bash others. I have to say that Atheists are some of the most intolerant people when it comes to religion. A good Christian when asked if a certain person would go to Heaven because they don't believe in the same God, gay, etc. should answer that they can't judge others ion such a way. But that does not mean that those beliefs don't contradict their faith. So why don't atheist stop posting filth like this to digg? IT gets annoying because they think it some how "makes them better" or it fills that void in their life that could easily be filled with God.
- Providence, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2These questions are beautiful. I hope Christians will actually watch this, and at least give it some thought, before crawling back under their Jesus blanket.
- whiskeymb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I've never found anything more full of illogical stances then religion, Christianity in particular. More power to this guy.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I wonder how many "Christians", are getting mad, and perhaps starting to sweat...ohh nelly. This is good stuff...
