- tublo, on 05/23/2008, -3/+41It would suck if you accidentally spilt some water on the desk.
- Biznaka, on 05/23/2008, -1/+33No more banging the desk when I'm upset...
- Amadeus2490, on 05/23/2008, -3/+30Here's a video of it in action:

(Not a Rick Roll, I promise) - JBabin3xB, on 05/23/2008, -1/+26where's the keyboard?
- MaxMWood, on 05/23/2008, -2/+24That's awesome. It would be so easy to upgrade your PC, just pull it apart and put in new hardware, no space taken up and it looks rather funky.
- willdelaney, on 05/23/2008, -1/+18I would like the monitor to be even farther away
- heypetray, on 05/23/2008, -1/+18I'll consider it when the screen and controls are projected upon the surface
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -0/+12It looks great. Heck, just imagine the amount of hard drives you can line up in there.
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 05/23/2008, -2/+13So when my friends ask what I'm doing on the weekend, I can say putting more ram in my table.
Looks really neat, just not sure I want a table that is obsolete after a year and a half. - mnemy, on 05/23/2008, -3/+13Looks pretty cool. I wonder how customizable it is. If you could buy normal components such as video cards, etc and slap it in just like a normal desktop, that'd be pretty awesome. My concerns would be whether or not they upgrade their specialized motherboards to keep up with new hardware, and whether it's possible to run at optimum speeds considering that the distance between peripherals would likely have to be increased substantially.
- plarp, on 05/23/2008, -1/+11the files are in the computer?
- BadseedJR, on 05/23/2008, -0/+9Technically, the table part would be useful forever... so I'm not sure a table can be obsolete.
- thomashauk, on 05/23/2008, -1/+10Why is the optical drive on the side? I mean I'd need to have a wall there plus its just plain awkward. Stick it on the front!
- Markpdotcom, on 05/24/2008, -0/+7Cue X-Files music!
- davidrools, on 05/24/2008, -0/+7the desk IS the keyboard
- beejay, on 05/24/2008, -2/+9Awesome, I've been looking for something to replace my LGP-30 for a while now...
http://www.hp9825.com/assets/images/LGP-30_ad_Apri ... - inactive, on 05/23/2008, -3/+9If you don't like it, build your own ***** computer. This is not for upgrading, obviously. Thing is about as useful as a Mac.
- FoxOrian, on 05/24/2008, -1/+7This would be pretty useful in public spaces like libraries and schools. Theft of the system would be pretty difficult.
- INDOAZZ, on 05/23/2008, -2/+8HIGH Tech furniture
- whatthefu, on 05/23/2008, -1/+6Wouldn't that hurt your neck?
- MatildaMiller, on 05/23/2008, -1/+6why not just build a table with a slot to slide your laptop into? connect it to the monitor, disk drive, keyboard and mouse via wifi/bluetooth. that way you aren't stuck at the table, but you still get the clean look.
and two years from now when somebody comes up with a fifty processor mega pc with 100 gigs of ram, you aren't stuck with a big ugly white table. - Sp0rAdiC, on 05/23/2008, -0/+5Animation of said condom applicator - http://www.dddxyz.com/images/portfolio/applicator- ...
- ginestony, on 05/23/2008, -0/+5You would also have to clear your desk off to change anything... screw that. Any digger here knows every techie's desk is cluttered with dvdr's
- a1lazydog, on 05/23/2008, -1/+5you know that rule about no coffee near your computer because it might spill over it.... yeah....
- nbx909, on 05/23/2008, -1/+5this company is the same company that designed a condom applicator lol http://www.dddxyz.com/gallery-health.htm
- leerayIG88, on 05/23/2008, -7/+10No...that would never happen. You shouldn't think that way, always think positive. A positive lifestyle will give you great karma.
- nbx909, on 05/23/2008, -0/+3it look's thick enough to fit a regular mobo in there, the only thing would be it would have to have onboard, video, sound, lan, etc.
- bstew22, on 05/23/2008, -1/+4I can see this being useful in a school system, more classroom space.
- codewater, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2A big ass-tower? // xkcd :)
- khrome, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2Am I the only one who thinks this is a rendering that will never be a product?
- sanman, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2If it caught on with enough people, then it could become its own standard.
- SoIcanDigg, on 05/24/2008, -1/+3I thought this was another "Can you spot the ..." post.
- hadak, on 05/23/2008, -2/+4It would be a nightmare to do any sort of service work on this. I wonder how cooling would be done. It would get rather warm inside - don't leave your jar of M&Ms on it.
- markp93, on 05/23/2008, -1/+3it's so Tron....
- akav0id, on 05/23/2008, -0/+2Wonder if they'll have the same patent dispute that Time PC had a few years back with i-desk solutions
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2003/12/24/court_slap ... - inactive, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2I hope it comes in smaller sizes.
- Mr.Gone, on 05/23/2008, -1/+3That's a big ass tower right there.
- KaJuN4, on 05/24/2008, -1/+3The table is victorious!!!!
- inactive, on 05/24/2008, -1/+3That is very cool. As long as I could plug in your own TV/monitor use normal gaming graphics I'd be happy. A intergrated keyboard into the surface would be absolutely awesome aswell.
If if does have the above this is just another mac wanna be. IMHO - aserer511, on 05/23/2008, -1/+3.....SUCH a bitch to install (physically, the unit itself)
the upsde is if the entire desk is hollow, cooling will be excellent - *jooloop*, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2Not if you could somehow lay above it on a masseuse's table. PLus, you could get a massage at the same time you surf digg!
- bjs3171, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2could you imagine using this in the middle of august? no thanks.
also, what i was imagining was something like what's used in The Island. Where the monitor is the desk surface, and everything is touch controlled. that would be sweet, and not warm on the surface. - hinmanj, on 05/24/2008, -1/+3My desk is loud. It also gets very warm.
- Culyt, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2Remind me of that desk from Tron, I thought that was an awesome idea until I realised I hunch over too much already and that typing on glass would hurt after a while (although that last one seem like it will become the norm soon with things like iPhone and that XO-2.
- oddturtle, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2...and please make the display even smaller
- cor315, on 05/24/2008, -0/+2http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/spilled
idiot
don't correct someone if you don't know the answer - l800LEMMINGS, on 05/24/2008, -1/+2the computer is the desktop i still think you're in the clear
- Sawta, on 05/24/2008, -0/+1The CD-ROM is actually in a really odd spot. I get that it's not right on top of where the chair would go, because people would consantly be bumping into it, but I think they could have made it more accessible.
I think it would be awesome if they put the ROM in the table (close to the screen, by the end of the desk, so it wouldn't have to be too thick to accommodate it. Not only would it be more reasonable to reach then stretching around a ***** corner, but how cool would it be to see a CD tray pop vertically out of a god damn table?! (Think PS2/Xbox 360) - mentor972, on 05/24/2008, -0/+1In Soviet Russia, desk sits at you!
