OMG - my pet has more room than this!- birdwatcher3000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4That's a common price in Athens Greece (and every other large city). The smaller an appartment the more the cost per square foot.
yes it sucks >:(

- greenbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I'm going to college soon, and after seeing this i know my dorm couldn't be any worse than that.
- Number17, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Don't get your hopes up too much greenbox...
- booc0mtaco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9yeah, seriously greenbox. *shudder* it can get ugly
- ScottMitchell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2At my school our dorms were ~10x12, which is nearly twice the space of this place... but then again we had two students living in that space. But of course the kitchen/bathroom facilities were elsewhere, the 10x12 was merely the place for sleeping and studying.
- trialofmiles, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26Must be at the Robot Arms Apartments
/futurama- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14just put all your stuff in the closet
- brainwashed, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Somehow I thought that would be in Japan, but London!
- hoofarted, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I think that it is about time that the UK government legislate the minimum size of bedrooms in this country. I am not surprised that this is in London. Then again, if you don't like it, move somewhere else.
- RickySan65, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Pff, every bleeding place is small in the uk..
- Lyph4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Yeah, lets get the government involved in more aspects of our day to day life..
I type this from an airport.
- eclectro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3My dorm room was that small. At the time I was happy to have it and dump my roommate for it.
- Snowdaddy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14If anyone is interested Im renting out my closet for only 100$ a week
- blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Great, I happen to have intestinal problems and I don't want to destroy mine. I'll take it for a week. Good luck for the cleaning.
- JDex, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The link's dead... did it have a bath and kitchen?
- DarkZen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks like the link is dead? anyone else having problems with it?
- sinner0423, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20Apparently this was hosted via the world's smallest data pipe. Dead link.
- iczman, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1haha brilliant

- C00001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that site didn't last long... 60 diggs?
edit: thanks, jabab. - mizunoX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Another link to the original photo: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/object/article?f=/gate/archive/2005/05/25/dip.DTL&o=10
- Mindstormer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I have no clue where they got the picture of the guy in a kitchen, since it has nothing to do with the story. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/money/articles/18829085
heh, ill rent out my closet for 99$!!- stomicron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's probably a view down at the kitchenette (and the landlord) from where the bed is.
- headzoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Actually I expected it to look worse. I suppose if you're young, fresh from your parents house, and determined to live in the city, you could do worse. As long as it's in a safe neighborhood, it's all good.
- synthfx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9DUGG MIRROR:

- brandonking, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Bah, not that bad. They could have put the bed raised above the kitchen and had a communal bathroom. I just saved them 30 sq feet! Seriously, though, that's about the size of my freshman year dorm. No sympathy from me.
- mark1372, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I have to admit that I actually kinda like it. I hope there's adequate ventilation though...the place would get pretty funky with the combo of cooking, poop, and sleep smells.
- infinitespecter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I actually quite like it myself. I could totally see living there while I am in grad school. Hang a TV on the back of the front door, repalce the drawers with a desk and you have the perfect space. When can I move in? :D
- moylan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2think of the flat warming party! :-) pretty intimate!
- mdonatas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Something tells me Bender lives in a smallest appartment there is. Of course he has quite a closet but that's a separate story :)
- rspeed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Aw man, I was gonna say they should check the closet.
- pornel, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2
- jczer68, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Bed? I don't see any bed. and I'm sure as hell not going to sleep standing up, lol.
- clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Look up at the photo in the other article.
- Computer_Kid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It would be cool if it wasn't $250 a week.
- AJtm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man, I would hate to live there... I'm 6'3" myself, so I think I'd have to start buying Advil in bulk....
- SlowOnTheUptake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3For comparison, a cell at the "Supermax" federal prison in Colorado is 84 sq ft. -- a 35% upgrade, although the location isn't quite so trendy.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4972526.stm - osbjmg, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Reported lame.
- mvnicosia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2at least it has wood floors, right?
- otherland, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Wow, I'll never hear the end of my friends making jokes about how they can pee into the toilet from the front door...
- jtrost, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2That apartment is a rip off. I have an apartment in the Chicago loop that is over 10 times that size and only costs $200 more a month.
- HitLines, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Photo: http://images.thisislondon.co.uk/v2/news/flatbed240505_250x450.jpg
- tokyotechy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0That is not so bad. It is only 120 quid a week. Most rooms you would rent come out to 400-500 per month if you share a house or flat. So to have your own studio flat (small yes) but depending on area. Not surprised. I would prefer to live in that compared to some of the roomies I had to endure.
- ChrisGranger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Truly ridiculous as a home, I'd say, but if it was a temporary dwelling (hotel or whatever) it wouldn't be so bad. I kind of like the loft bed.
From the ThisIsLondon page: "The flat is suitable for a young person with an active social life."
Um, yeah, if your active social life involves never actually having any friends over. - cawpin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why the hell is this buried now?
- rspeed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Tech? Nay. Lame.
