Who... who are you people? - sufferingant, on 10/12/2007, -7/+31Hey, if Vista doesn't pan out at least I'll have something very nice to look at.
- ReggaetonKing, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18Yeah, these covers are beautiful and attractive.
- kodek, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16Why would we give a flying ***** that you were one of the first users?
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16Since when can RAM be slowed down? Hmmmm?
- disillusioned, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Yes. They're DVDs. The install disc is 2.4GB. Or something.
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9try clicking the download button bud.
here i'll do it for you: http://www.deviantart.com/download/46546198/ - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12What's worse? "Title says it all" or when the description is word-for-word the same as the title? In all cases, you could come up with a description.
By the way these aren't DVD cases. They're using some weird proprietary cases that's reminiscent of the old Saturn/Sega CD cases. - fiver22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8For those of you willing to stomache Vista/Office 2007's use of DRM -don't forget about Microsofts "Technology Guarantee" http://www.microsoft.com/athome/techguarantee/worldwide.mspx
which can be taken advantage of easily by anyon ewith 2/3rds of a brain. -If you want either Vista or Office 2007 the above link will let you get it -with a little ingenuity. FOR FREE.
(edit: This post is mostly for people who have purchased XP/Office in the last 4 years) - neurodyne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Yes, which you would then have to burn to a disc... Thus leading you to what trunkster said... =)

I think the word you were looking for was hence instead of hints. - everfalling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6i think this is just personal concept art. i dont think these are official DVD covers. from the looks of it the guy specializes in customizable windows GUI.
- acomj, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Mexican version of Vista cover...
http://www.plocp.com/images/vista_MG_3800.jpg - PSPon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7my copy expires every day
- CaptShmo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6These aren't real right? just a fan-work?
- estvir, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7> .. they use a new algorithm to generate windows, its more cpu intensive, but I forgot with the benefit was
Wow, please just stop talking. First, it's not a 'new algorithm to generate windows' and that was a horrible attempt to sound smart / like you know what you're talking about, second, it is LESS CPU intensive than XP (It uses over 50% less than XP - I think ExtremeTech are the ones with the benchmarks / info up if you want to find it) and third, I doubt you ever knew what the benefit was - go educate yourself. - reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I want the black one.
- Philodox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I really like the Vista Ultimate case... then again I'm a sucker for anything black. Black camera? Check. Black iPod? Check. Black DS? Check.
- damentz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Hurry, get the timerstop crack at keznews.com ;)
- ZPWeeks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nope. I just tried the long process, and here's what I got:

I definitely bought mine before October. - SPARTACVS, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"If Vista doesn't pan out..."
No matter how much you pray, the (un)fortunate truth is that when Vista is pre-loaded on ALL Bestbuy, etc. PCs, It will eventually have just as much market share as XP. Windows is Windows. The only way Vista will be on fewer computers than XP is if Apple starts doing REALLY well, but Vista won't just "flop". - hobbers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2But, how do you fake the product box top? Just tell them you don't have it? I certainly don't keep software boxes lying around - they're useless and get in the way.
- fiver22, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3if I wasn't clear enough: you can abuse this to your hearts content if you have any brain cells -just like youcan get WinXP pro for 149$ (US)/199$ (CDN) by claiming that you are recieving a pop-up saying that your version of Windows may noy be Genuine. Think about it.
- estvir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Er, first of all, 'trendwhore' is a timeless thing as people will be whoring trends forever, second, these are nothing like the generic rubbish the 'trendwhores' (14 year olds with illegal copies of Photoshops and 1 too many tutorial sites) were putting out 5 years ago and third, these are real, basically.
- GrizzlyWG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Be sure to use Internet Explorer if you go through this process. I guess it is obvious why this is "required". I tried it with Firefox and where you enter shipping info is partially covered with another box you cannot close. (Sorry, "box" is the most techinical term I can use with my limited knowledge of website design)
- Majorkerina, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3:) Hmm. It's a decent cover, I wish the text were a little bigger though.
- noahs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2any office 2007 covers?
- Gomo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Your link is the brokens,

http://pixup.biz/vista/ ive extracted the images there :) - vamper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2these are covers for standard dvd cases... if you havent seen any of the offical windows cases they have a strange way of opening... plus they have a nice curved edge... not bad looking and a cool new case... kind of like the ps3 and hd-dvd looking to catch peoples attention from the shelf
- trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Thanks to the creator. This works very well for all the Microsoft beta testers who got a free copy.
- GCRaya, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Where do u guys go to school?
I can get a discount but not that low. Maybe because i go to a JC. - biiscit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2These are magnificent. Even though I don't have vista, I still appreciate the time and art.
- estvir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1These are basically what the boxes look like but with some differences since it isn't official, etc.
- SoFtEcH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1WOW cool thanks for posting my covers here ...

Strange is right. Who thought it was a good idea to make the case expand into a v? - kACE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Mirrored the file here: http://cuddlysheepdesigns.be/priv/Windows_Vista_DVD_Covers_by_sahtel08.zip
Enjoy ;) - fiver22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@doublej42: you are mistaken. Just say that you are recieving a pop-up that says that "Your version of Windows is not Genuine" and you can get the WGA pricing for WinXP Pro.
- ace87, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ha, my school gave me office 2007 for free and Vista Enterprise edition will be $10 in march!
- venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1According to the thread over at channel9.msdn.com they should be shipping sometime this week.
http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=261537 - sancho320, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There's nothing even remotely official about that site.
- Shadowsnake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Oh lawl we got these in at staples we were like OOOOOOOOHHHHHH.. Then the price slaped me in the face and stole my lunch...money?
- Gameflyer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Screw Vista Ultimate, I'll pay $400 just for that box.
- doublej42, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1can't abuse that without a valid cd key unless I'm mistaken?
- Jeremyofmany, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2How about getting Vista on a 700MB CD? www.vlite.net
http://www.vlite.net/changelog.html < v0.8 beta changelog - hmemcpy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Photoshopped :p
