We Feel Fine - the Internet has emotion apparently
wefeelfine.org — It searches blogs for emotion words then records the blog entries they're in. Then it turns it into a giant particle structure of clickable color coded emotion. It can be filtered pretty well into region specific, certain emotions, gender and such.

resubmit that bro.- mhockey14221, on 10/12/2007, -6/+25i hate the internet
- itistoday, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Not "Web 2.0", this is a Java applet, they've been around for a long time. And I ain't your 'bro', OK?
;-) - soogy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3People still use Java?
- tavisjohn, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1I hate WEB 2.0 fanboys, I hate fanboys!
"Does it run Linux?"
"Not Web 2.0, No Digg."
"XBOX all the way baby."
"Get a real browser, use FireFox."
You fanboys should all be forced to live 2 months WITHOUGH your religious icon, the Xbox, PS2, Web 2.0, FireFox, etc!!!!!!! - OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2How do you shoot the little dots?
- DoctorShim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@OBKenobi
You can blow them away by clicking on them. Not quite as fun as shooting them, but oh well!
I filtered out my search to find only results from females, and it says: "No feelings found from women."
I knew it all along.
- Hermitwise, on 10/12/2007, -12/+6Sorry I'm new to digg, what does resubmitting do exactly?
- SlappyMc, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10it will give it another chance to get it major diggs and get people to see it.
Resubmitting is frowned upon, but there are definately exceptions; I would argue this site should be resubmitted with a new title and description to get it seen. It is amazingly cool. - bryant, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16It pisses people off.
- wesball, on 10/12/2007, -8/+9Who cares if it pisses people off. This is great.
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Allows one to perpetuate lameness ad infinitum.
- SlappyMc, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10it will give it another chance to get it major diggs and get people to see it.
- WeeklyGeek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12This is amazingly cool
- heymark, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8This is indeed amazingly cool. Very stylish, unique, and just darned interesting.
- aplusplus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Wow, this is really different and the coolest thing I have seen in quite some time.
- rishubhav, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Amazing. This is the sort of thing that stasticians and population study people would die for
- nimsey, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0Old news to me... But it is cool... so digg
- tommythetomcat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4ummm i found the word naked... i didn't know nakedness is an emotion
- Hermitwise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4To feel naked, exposed.
- Linkage155, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4>>Hermitwise
>>To feel naked, exposed.
Hum.. That's cool.. I like to play CounterStrike while naked!
- brandizzle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is really cool.
Was it just me or quite a few of those are "horny"? - JohnnyVu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The loading is a pain in the ass, maybe it's the Digg effect. -_-
- joeysafe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Fantastic. Murmurs are interesting. I love the filters. Weather?! Sweet.
- mushoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Flawed if it doesn't provide for sarcasm, this being the internets and all.
But it's really cool, so no biggie. - Barlo_Mung, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Feelings like this piss me off so much I just love it. It makes me feel all warm and purple inside.
The lazy brown dog feels blue as he jumps over the cow and the moon. - matatabe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Its a pretty amazing site. Made with the processing.org language too.
- SpannerX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Murmurs is great
/plays some more. - jtmoulia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's awesome... does anyone know how they did the physics in the madness thing? Is it a kind of flocking? Anyway, that's one of the coolest things I've seen in a while.
- robohoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Does that mean that the internet can turn emo?
- multivariate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+250 people are feeling "saturated?" I wish I had any idea at all what that was like.
- goffy59, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Holy *****, this is amazing!! Best digg in a long time.
- picneec13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0absolutely.
- jeni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1A-mazing!
- resplence, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I would love to see it working to evaluate it properly but it appears to be broken, since it said it was looking for emotions about 25 minutes ago and I still have a blank page. This gave me time to read the whole website, and I must say I found the idea somewhat dumb and useless. Maybe when it's working it'll blow my mind, but for now it's a non digg.
- Hermitwise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You have to use it to see why it's cool, it's like a sea of tangible thoughts. I'm glad that my first submission on digg went over well.
- scratchpod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's back up now.
- twiztedambience, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The problem is this website is heavily influenced by United States blogs. Say I were to look up what people in argentina are feeling who are age 20 - on May 30th, 2006 - there are absolutely NO matches. I find that hard to believe.
Perhaps the site may have tried to tackle too much?
And what about the language barrier? And what about internet censorship and blockage across countries?
I'd say take these results with a grain of salt, but still - it's a cool concept, just know what you're looking at.- rekrapt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1America, what a country...
- ferggo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That is probably because the major blog sites they are pulling data from are the ones used mostly by americans, like blogspot.
I'm pretty sure they arent tabulating your own personal domain just because it has a blog on it, how would they ever find them? - twiztedambience, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I barely saw any from Chinese blogs. Chinese blogs are supposed to be more numerous than US blogs.
- BRizzle83, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1impressive random motion
- Phaladone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think that someone should get a patent, if possible!
Wow, lots of emo-esque people on there, too. lol - fitchmicah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1none of the filters worked for me at all (not even like just a gender filter), but it's still really amazing. this is a very beautiful concept!
- RobMackenzie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The search function is nerfed, (there are posts from outside states) but the rest seems to be working well. Amazing concept!!! Best part (don't know if others found this) is that you can click on the captured text and read the rest of the blog of some of these people! I know a lot of them are emo, but it can be a bit interesting!
- andrewmac44, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0I love the fact that this allows me specifically search for 0 - 9 year old girls who are feeling "horny" ;)
- BlackPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dude, how'd you even find that out? You should be searching for 16-25 year old girls that are feeling horny.
- Brewno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is amazing.
- aneconcept, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I had no idea there were this many emo kids out there... makes me wanna cry in the corner
- nerditup, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1wii feel fine.
- shortkid422, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh wow, awesome quote....
"If i were a computer I feel like its time for me to restart"
Of course its from none other than a California Berkeley student.
This is seriously awesome, bookmarked it and all. - The42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sweet site. Dig the filters.
An answer to that old question.... "Does anybody else in here feel the way I do?" - ojk007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1awes
- BlackPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All I get is a blank screen. Is anyone else having problems?
- scratchpod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It looks to be back up now.
- TVarmy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't cry emo network.
- Hemingrubbish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's beautiful to watch. I have wasted many hours just clicking on random dots...
