Just FYI, keep in mind that the sample rate does not dictate the 'slowness' of a slow-mo video, just the details that are captured and what information is available for playback later on. For example, if I were to capture one second of real duration @ 1,000 fps and played it back at 50 fps, that'd give me a 20 second long video. If I were to capture one second of real duration @ 4,000 fps and played it back at 200 fps, the video would be identical in both length and appearance, assuming the final NTSC output were both @ 29.97fps.

  • Sbebo, on 04/19/2008, -0/+9It's amazing how even though the camera is recording at 2,000 FPS, when the balloon breaks, the elastic shoots back in a flash. The balloon doesn't slowly peel back, releasing the water, but it goes very fast.

The stretching of the balloon is only because the volume of the water is greater than the volume the balloon can hold without stretching.
