- s0m31john, on 09/01/2008, -3/+52Some people should not vote. I'm not saying that because they don't agree with my positions, but a vast majority of Americans that vote just aren't very informed. They should have the right to vote, it's just not a good idea to vote if you're not very informed. Watching soundbites on CNN and Fox News does not count as being informed.
- homedaddy, on 08/31/2008, -4/+45pretty cool. anything that gets people think about voting is great in my book. I'm actually looking for a bumper sticker that says something like, "republican, democrat, libertarian, communist, whatever.... just vote!"
- Me1000, on 09/01/2008, -1/+40"Democracy is where 51% of the people can take away the rights of the other 49%"
-Thomas Jefferson - MTessa, on 08/31/2008, -4/+37OK some are incredibly cool like the thumbnail and the "empower" ones. Yes I'm a girl and I would love, even dare the greater population to put those up. I think it would get anyones attention. On the other hand some are clever enough that Letterman could do his man on the street gig and people might not get them.

- Sornos, on 08/31/2008, -2/+25Yeah, you're totally right!
Sitting at home and doing nothing totally shows those fascists who's boss! - cadmiumpaint, on 09/01/2008, -1/+18why not link to the original site? AIGA site has all the posters(dozens) in large format.
- MarthaDunnstock, on 08/31/2008, -2/+18Design is like writing, everyone thinks they can do it like the pros.
- booyahbitch, on 09/01/2008, -0/+13I liked the lady in red...I think I will research and then vote.
- chix0r, on 09/01/2008, -0/+11and there are a lot more..

Thanks alot, now everytime I see a naked woman the only thing I'll think about is voting. Damn. - NegativeIon, on 08/31/2008, -2/+13And I suppose you can do better?
- poet, on 09/01/2008, -1/+11Seriously.
When are people going to learn to come to their own conclusions on things instead of just listening to whatever comes out of Bill O'Reilly's megaphone or the Huffington Post's collective rectum?
That's rhetorical by the way. - SebHughes, on 09/01/2008, -6/+16ONE PAGE: http://www.divinecaroline.com/articles/printer_fri ...
- buckygrad, on 09/01/2008, -2/+12Personally, I always vote vagina.
- shadowsurfr1, on 09/01/2008, -0/+10But vote is a word....
- JoeCool1986, on 09/01/2008, -0/+9Or digg...
:::: runs ::: - inactive, on 09/01/2008, -1/+10If the only reason you vote is because a poster told you to, you're probably better off not voting.
- JakeyG14, on 09/01/2008, -0/+8You'll just have to hope that the girl across the road remembers to close her curtains then.
- Ymeg, on 09/01/2008, -2/+10Assuming you only have two choice, not voting for the lesser evil is incredibly ***** irrational.
- Larsonal777, on 09/01/2008, -0/+8actually... i think it should be... "get educated... get informed... and then vote!" The problem with democracy is that even the uneducated/uninformed can vote.
- BobDell, on 08/31/2008, -5/+12great contest. dugg.
- random12345, on 11/16/2008, -2/+9Yay!! The 'V' was replaced with the vaginal crack! Tehe!
I got it! Lets make one that says "Vote for President" and instead of a P, it can by a side profile of ***** 'n balls! - flameboy, on 09/01/2008, -1/+8"Someone who is following [[candidate i disagree with]] is not very informed either. "
Congratulations! You have been conclusively identified as an idiot! - chix0r, on 09/01/2008, -2/+9These comments make me want to cry.
- XorpheusX, on 09/01/2008, -8/+14More like "poor design makes this article's preview image look like a wang."
- Sornos, on 08/31/2008, -4/+10If the majority of people are idiots, then an idiot should represent them. Anything else is undemocratic.
- Wargasmic, on 09/01/2008, -1/+7And they are the majority.
- curterknows, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6Voting is a choice, and some people make a bigger statement by not voting.
- blacktriangle, on 09/01/2008, -1/+5But can they illustrate Diebold stealing an election?
- CrushThemTorg, on 09/01/2008, -0/+4It confused me why anyone would try to get people to vote with Arabic calligraphy. The last thing I think of is democracy when I think about the Arabian peninsula. Nothing against them, but they just don't rock the democratic process.
Then I realized that most of these were just way too overwrought to ever be effective. - serif69, on 09/01/2008, -0/+4Or reading digg.
- inactive, on 09/01/2008, -1/+5"Someone who is following Ron Paul or Bob Barr is not very informed either"
Um...OK...care to elaborate? - smashingmonkey, on 09/01/2008, -1/+4John, I completely agree. Such propaganda as this surely inspires some people to vote. Some of it shames people into voting too, even calling into question a non-voter's patriotism - a vile tactic seen all too often in post-911 America. Either way, until the masses are better informed it simply creates a situation where more people are voting based on propaganda and political prejudice. And isn't that the problem with the status quo?
I don't think everybody needs to be political. There should be no shame in making a conscious decision not to vote. Should people be encouraged to get informed? Definitely. An informed person will probably decide to vote all on their own. But why on Earth would we want to put the cart in front of the horse and encourage uninformed people to vote? - banmeagaindigg, on 09/01/2008, -2/+5Too obvious and without thought. Trend biting doesn't work.
- aadsfasdf, on 09/01/2008, -0/+3But while you're uninformed, do everyone else a favor, don't vote.
- MtheoryX, on 09/01/2008, -0/+3@poet:
Considering your horrible grammar, I find your name to be quite ironic. - doublebummer, on 09/01/2008, -0/+3If you are compelled by a fancy sign to vote then please don't.
- bdigital24, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2LOL, I can only assume you mean Bush ruined your life, and yet these "voting drives" do nothing but register more democratic voters.... MTV, "vote or die," Hollywood, all far-left leaning entities that are pushing these "its cool to vote" things.
Then election day comes around, and none of them come out to vote! Too funny..
Or wait, maybe it's just that the Democratic candidates have sucked? - iofthestorm, on 09/01/2008, -5/+7They don't make any statement, they just show that they are really ignorant douchebags who don't actually care about the political system. FFS, at least write someone in if you think the system is broken.
- Wargasmic, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2Doh.
- IamSunstorm, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2So it's just a coincidence that the thumbnail looks like a large rod being shoved someone's ass?
- Larsonal777, on 09/01/2008, -1/+3I'm sorry I fail to see the coolness in the empower ones... do all they mean to say is that even women should vote? Because the message that seems to be eminating from it is lets vote for a woman because she is a woman. I'm sorry but I know to many people that are like that and would take that message to heart. Women have had the right to vote for almost 100 years now and that is great... until they start voting for a woman SOLELY because she is a woman.
It would be like putting up a poster now that had a black man on it that said empower. If Obama is the right man for the job he'll probably get the job... but we shouldn't vote for him because he is black and he would be the first in office. - badassninja, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2you might be able to make a wang look like the letter t in vote. "Empower, shove your vote around to get your way." What, it's not any more ***** up then what they did with the V.
- MtheoryX, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2I think the sign should read: VOTE, YOU LAZY PIECE OF *****
But, that's just one man's opinion. - ModernGeek, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2You can on some of them.
- MtheoryX, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2"...think the majority are pour."
"...majority are pour."
"...pour."
Poor, dammit. - meatmaker, on 09/01/2008, -0/+2I agree but at least a couple of those were really great most however looked like a homework assignment in my design classes.
- penkwin, on 09/02/2008, -0/+1Some of these are really *****. A few are good though.
- NeptuneZen, on 09/01/2008, -1/+2I find the whole thing kind of stupid. The poster shouldn't say just to vote, they should say get informed and then vote. Why should we encourage people who's only reason to vote was a cool poster they saw? People like that are not going to make an informed decision.
