Because in Vista, IE7 looks oh so much better than Firefox...which is the major reason i don't use it in Vista.
This may change that for moi. - andrewcod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@sunnyd
Wow, that looks awesome!
Actually, it looked so good, I decided to submit it. (Note: Not trying to spam or anything everyone, but if people like it, then why not digg it?)

It actually has already been on digg before. I'd search for it, but digg took away the ability to search my own diggs.
@shagie
I'm waiting for that email :) Gets lonely sometimes - Maddpaky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2hows the bio summary coming along?
- shokk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How often are you switching from small icons to large? Is it something that goes away when you restart FF?
And why would you even do this to FF in the first place? Inquiring minds want to ignore this story. - linuxeventually, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks like you need to update your AVG virus definitions ;)
- 7of7, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Check out the Metal Lion Vista theme available at the Mozilla add-ons site. I think it integrates better with Vista than this one.
- MioTheGreat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/4325/
But I personally don't like it.

- sunnyd, on 10/12/2007, -15/+3sorry, dupe post, please bury
- alwaysmc2, on 10/12/2007, -7/+24hmm... it looks like IE7 but with less space for the webpage.
Well, I guess there's more than looks.- OddTSi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I don't get why people are modding you down for saying that it looks like IE7 because it DOES.
- OrangeSoda31, on 03/19/2008, -0/+1who says modding? THIS IS DIGG!
- OddTSi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I don't get why people are modding you down for saying that it looks like IE7 because it DOES.

- mr1337, on 10/12/2007, -22/+8Firefox looking like Vista? Yuck. I'm going to crawl into a corner and cry now. Please let me know when it's safe to come back to the Internet.
- rebelxtnut, on 10/12/2007, -14/+4noia2.0 extreme is da best
- Peterh, on 10/12/2007, -6/+33Am I the only one who think Noia is an obnoxious looking theme?
- catastrophee, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2yes
- HalFTW, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Copy IE7 FTL. :/
- Jayeveryday, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Thats actually nice as hell. But who uses vista .................jk
- Kyderdog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Both users did download it :)
- Pogue_Mahone, on 10/12/2007, -6/+23Yeah... cause I want Firefox to look like IE7...
I'll stick with the standard theme.- xenoploid, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Vista looks like translucent blue ass, and so does this theme.
- Shorties, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4Thank god for a good theme I have been using IE7 regularly on my PC since I upgraded to vista just because of how vista makes firefox look.
- CalabiYau, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm pretty sure you just caused a Linux user to explode in anger somewhere.
I hope you're happy with yourself.
- CalabiYau, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm pretty sure you just caused a Linux user to explode in anger somewhere.
- Jugalator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I've seen so much crap in Firefox themes so I was doubting the story, but it actually does look good. :-)
Well, better than the stock Firefox 2 theme anyway, even if it reminds of IE 7. - friend18, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4This is disgusting.
- Z123, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4So how do we install the theme after we've downloaded it?
- fugazi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6open up its containing folder and open up Firefox and go to themes. Then drag the jar folder over to the themes area and you are done.
- ninjoah, on 10/12/2007, -27/+4 1. Create DOS partition or logical DOS drive
2. Set Active partition
3. Delete partition or logical DOS drive
4. Display partition information
Choose #3, and press Enter, then choose option #1 Delete Primary DOS Partition
A WARNING! Should now be blinking letting you know that you are about to loose all the information on your hard drive. If there are some files you want to try to save hit Esc., remove the files you need to and come back. If you are here because your hard drive crashed and you can’t get anything to work, forget the files and hit Enter.
Next you will be asked to Enter Volume Label. Enter exactly what you find printed above under the words Volume Label. If nothing is written up there, than the hard drive was never given a label. Leave this blank too and hit Enter.
The infamous Microsoft Are You Sure? prompt comes up. Hit Y and Enter. You will now be notified that your Primary DOS Partition has been deleted. Hit the Esc button to continue, and you will find yourself back at the FDISK Options screen.
Now we want to undo the damage you just did, so press 1 and Enter to Create DOS partition or Logical Drive. At the next screen press 1 and Enter again to Create Primary DOS Partition. After the system performs an integrity check it will again ask if you want to use the maximum available size. Press Y and Enter, and it will once again check the integrity.
Now you need to restart your computer. Make sure the System disk is still in the A drive. To restart, you can either press the restart button, or press Esc to return to the DOS prompt and then press the reset button. If you don’t have a reset button like the DELL I am currently using, turn it off and on again. I have to unplug mine to turn it off when in DOS.
After your computer is up and running again, type:
Format/s C:
Make sure you put the /s after the word format, and the letter C: is the drive you want to format. Usually your hard drive is the C drive, but if you know it to be otherwise, replace the C with the correct letter and press Enter. You will be presented with the following warning:
WARNING, ALL DATA ON NON-REMOVABLE DISK
DRIVE C: WILL BE LOST!
Proceed with Format (Y/N)?
You’ve come this far, you better press Y and Enter. You will then see the following text:
Formatting XXX.XXM
XX percent completed.
This will take a while especially if you have one of the newer multi Gigabit drives out today. If this step only takes a few seconds, it didn’t work. You most likely have an incompatible DOS version. This usually happens when you use different disks to format and set-up, or somebody changed some files on your startup disk. Download the Startup disk I have and try again from the beginning. After the count reached 100% at a nice slow pace, a few lines of text will scroll up and you will be asked to enter a Volume Label. This is just a name for you hard drive. It’s not necessary, and if you find yourself pondering more than a minute on what you should call it, just hit Enter and leave it blank.
The information presented on your screen now is really insignificant and can be ignored. Congratulations, you have a formatted hard drive. If all you need is a DOS machine see my DOS section.
Remove the System disk from the A drive, and restart your computer, it should come up fine to a DOS prompt. Of course you have an empty computer and will not be able to access your CD ROM drive, but it’s a start.
Now put the System disk back in you’re a drive and copy all the files from the System disk to the C: drive by typing
COPY A:*.*
If prompted, do not overwrite any files already on the hard drive. When this is finished, replace the System disk in the A drive, with the CD ROM installation disk and type:
A: INSTALL.
Hit Enter to proceed with each step. No additional information needs to be supplied. If you are using a CD ROM installation disk made from my ZIP file, you will be prompted about missing TXT files. Just hit Enter and proceed. When asked if you want to update the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files answer with a Yes.
Now remove the floppy disk from the A drive and restart you computer.
If all went well, your new firefox theme should be workin. Best of luck. - Sonizel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3just drag it jar file on to the themes window.
Edit: Fugazi beat me
@ ninijoah i beleive thats what he was trying to do, just take it easy. - Z123, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Thanks mate.
- BladeMelbourne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
Then drag the .jar file into the window below the list of other themes.
PS: This theme has serious display issues in OS X. Not recommended.
Edit: beaten multiple times! - neonpulse, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1You mean, how do we uninstall the ugly theme and keep the Tango one? *Troll* *Troll*
- fugazi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Im still looking for a decent tango theme for firefox.... and a visual style.
- Nightspark, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4So that horrible cyan line on the bottom and right edges of windows made it into the final version of Vista? Who at Microsoft thought that looked good?
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I can't quite figure out which line you're referring to.
- fugazi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You cant really miss it. Look at the bottom edge of the window...
- ironymonkey, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1frankly i think the entire vista UI looks like it was developed for the mentally disabled. no offense but i'll stick with my blue ice FF theme thanks.
have a look at luna element 5 if you're in the market for a nice XP style. - bmson, on 10/12/2007, -15/+4Am I the only one that thinks Vista looks terrible. It is over designed.
Well it's shiny but shiny things gets really boring after few months. Mark my words.
Operation systems should not have "look" they should be gray and plain.- joe90210, on 10/12/2007, -10/+14Vista is easily the best looking OS out now, by far.
- Nevrast, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4I totally agree. Microsoft thinks "ohhhh Apple's doing shiny gradients" then they make ***** looking shiny gradients and overuse them.
What's with the effects in the title bar? Microsoft's GUI designers need to learn about simplicity. Apple's interfaces are good looking because they're both shiny and elegantly simple.
Vista just looks like a lame knock-off. It's like the difference between real metal and plastic painted to look like metal. - joe90210, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10OSX was for a long time one of the ugliest OSes out, they started out completely overboard with the effects and had to tone them down each release, it's only recently that they've managed to get something decent looking at all
- Phil246, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@joe90210 , such things are a matter of taste and opinion. You might like vista but it doesnt mean everyone else thinks its the best looking OS around.
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Is there one for SeaMonkey? :)
- agiorlando, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I thought we used FireFox to get away from Internet Explorer. Looks a lot like Internet Explorer if you ask me :)
- drilldown, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1If it looks like it will go 200X faster, will ya pay 200X as much for it?
- SuperJimmyJimbo, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2FINALLY, now Firefox looks exactly like IE7, YAY!
oh wait, I use safari. nm- nbcivic, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2i used your mom
yeaaaa that was unnecessary
- nbcivic, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2i used your mom
- osc1882, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7Firefox embodies the spirit of freedoom, MS Vista embodies sluggish bloated DRM.
What the heck was some retard thinking?- jtherrien, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Are you joking? If you actually believe that, you're retarded. What ignorance.
- solidfilter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13NOTE: To all those mentioning IE7. Of course it looks like IE7. IE7 was created to nicely integrate into the vista environment. But thanks for all the comments!
- falcyn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Um, I REALLY don't get why people dugg down the creator of the theme for responding to comments left about it. Some of you guys make no sense.
- solidfilter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm not attempting to recreate IE in firefox. I'm only trying to integrate firefox into the basic Vista GUI. IE just happens to do that very well at that.
- Kerjo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It'd be great (really great!) if you could port this over to Flock as well.
Unless of course I'm the only one using it. - solidfilter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If I receive enough requests to port this to flock, I will. For now, I am concentrated on finishing this theme. Then I will be creating a new theme that will nicely integrate into Vista, without the IE7 appearance. I just don't understand why people hate IE7 so much that they get disgusted just looking at it's UI, or something similar to it's UI. But I guess it is a matter of opinion and choice, and it's alright to hate my theme if you want :).
- doubleblack, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3The skin on the front page, and all skins in the comments suck.
Show me something worth while next time... - chadr6, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4I don't want to download anything that's going to make Firefox look exactly the same as IE.
- harmonic, on 10/12/2007, -8/+0I don't want to download anything that's got to do with Vistass.
- harmonic, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Thank you Vista *****!
Enjoy your day assholes!
- harmonic, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Thank you Vista *****!
- drilldown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Is it just me or is everyone getting a little too used to looking at a 2"X4" box while they work? I'll just go ahead and call miniaturization moving into a cubicle. For now.
- DeFex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't you just love to waste most of your screen space with useless toolbars so you have to scroll and scroll.
- Robozilla, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I'll get the Vista theme for Firefox when I can actually use Firefox on Vista. I'm using Vista right now, and this ***** is buggy. I have to use internet explorer, and even then it's really slow. Hopefully a better version will come out in a few days.
- Branden, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Just a tip: It's not Vista, it's your drivers. Now if the manufacturer actually has some compatible ones out is a different story.
- codemeister, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Title is misleading...I guess thats why it got so many diggs...
- Derrekito, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5Am I the only person who thinks the Windows Vista over all look is just ugly? This theme had a lot of work put into it, which I think is fine, I simply think windows will always just be an ugly OS
- MasterDirk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yeah, you're wrong about that.
Only thing I like about Vista is how it looks.
- MasterDirk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yeah, you're wrong about that.
- bigcheez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ug. I've tried a lot of themes and always end up going back to iFox Smooth
- Df@ce, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Black Japan theme is the only Firefox theme worth having !!!! Rest is ***** !!!!! ..............You heard me !
- Phil246, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2am I the only one happy with the default theme after moving the buttons around a bit? :(
- Grumps, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Why want to look like IE when Firefox is the BOMB?
- orangekid13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i want my menu bar black... where can i get a vista theme for xp that won't change xp, it'll just look all glossy... it'd make me happy, i'm never gonna install vista
by the next windows distro, everyone'll be on ubuntu or the like - baconINspace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There's no .jar file in the .zip that I got off the site. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
- solidfilter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you downloaded a .zip file, simply rename the extension to .jar.
- radiofrequency, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That makes Firefox look like IE7. YUCK. No thanks, I'll stick with Firefox's default theme... or better yet, Qute theme and Cutemenus - Crystal SVG menu extension.
- AWBoy666, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1http://www.duggmirror.com
- OrangeSoda31, on 03/19/2008, -1/+1firefox looks awful in vista. Stop bashing the IE look-alike. IE looks good in vista, firefox does not. For those of us unfortunate enough to have vista, this is helpful.
