- aritheman, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2Nice and helpful list Thanks
- deadowl, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2I had Designing Interactive Systems (not in this list), but recently had to sell it. There are a lot of interesting concepts.
- socalrob, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3I just bought a book about Icon design for Gui's and other interfaces. I found it funny how many typo's and obvious lack of research the author(s) and editor did.
Ex: The crop tool found in photoshop and gimp. The author states its 2 L brackets that don't represent anything but are universally accepted as the crop icon. Yet if he did a small bit of research, it actually represents the tool used to crop photos for magazines and other publications. Heck I used one in my H.S. yearbook class.
Getting around that nonsense though, the book is rather interesting and makes a great companion to my other tech and design books. Bargain bin FTW!- yetAnotherCroc, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2Hey we all know research is boring, besides wouldnt you rather try to inject your own unfounded but "way better" theories into the public mind
- skinjester, on 01/25/2008, -0/+0just curious - by definition, wouldn't icons only be used in a graphical user interface?
- saswannabe17, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1Sweet list--time for a torrent search.
