- Thorpe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+31.name top-level domain? Don't come across one of those everyday.
- orangery, on 10/11/2007, -4/+28wow a non-iphone story.

- Gazpacho, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16Most of them are simply ergonomic keyboards. The DataHand is alluring, though.
- ilovebacon, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13If by "work" you mean "not work," then yeah, it works great.
- phoomp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11This list is incomplete. Here's a better one:
http://web.archive.org/web/20070228010110/http://tim.griffins.ca/gallery/keyboard/all.html - MrTankJump, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Yes I have, I actually made a Dvorak keyboard, and it's much more comfortable than QWERTY, seeing how it's designed around being the arrangement that is the fasted for typing in English, and also helps prevent Carpal-tunnel. You have to remember that QWERTY was designed SPECIFICALLY to slow typing down so that it doesn't jam mechanical keyboards, and yet the schools are still teaching children QWERTY.
- dasilva333, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9what's up with master chief being an alcoholic in that youtube video at the end?
- Ellord, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Seems like they have an unusual server too.
- vdxc, on 09/29/2008, -4/+945 diggs != 45 hits. I read a hell of a lot of stories, but I only Digg a few.
- vdxc, on 09/29/2008, -0/+5That's because QWERTY is the defacto. It's been used for years and nobody wants to start the major push to a new standard.
- ienjoythebeach, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5All those but no Optimus Maximus?
- chedabob, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Useless without the pictures
- daven1986, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5dvorak is quite easy to use once you get used to it. i bought some key stickers instead of rearranging the keys.
- manitoba98xp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Do you really think there is any Digg users left who have not heard of the Optimus keyboard? Many of us are sick and tired of hearing about it at this point...
- bat-21, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4My favorite would have to be the IBM butterfly ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_ThinkPad_Butterfly_keyboard ). Damn shame it was only used once.
- Kawn, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6yes zir, the server seems to have died from only being on digg for a very short time, goes to show you the integrity of some servers.
- KevinO, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6But see, the sight was down so this article should get no more than 47 or 50 diggs, but watch as it gets near a hundred...Lesson, people don't read the article or even look at the pictures before digging..
- tomee, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3this guy has a whole domain just for his keyboard:
http://mykeyboard.co.uk/ - KevinO, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Way to catch on champ ;) And upside-down text was so yesterday...
- Terr01, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3In normal-land we use this thing called a "password". :P
I bet it was your transition, not Dvorak itself, which helped you avoid pecking. Had you put the same amount of effort and forced focus into learning Qwerty, you'd type just as well. - chedabob, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yes
- crazedgremlin, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4it's "site," not "sight."
- njschwinn, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Yeah, I switched to Dvorak last year, and wow its alot easier to type in than QWERTY. My speeds have gone up dramatically and i don't need to "peck type" anymore. The best part is though, that it keeps my parents and friends off of my computer when I'm not around =D.
- Devrdander, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2ahahaha priceless
- Monstradamus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Check out this russian-made one :-P forums.kustompcs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=34594 (old news but still cool)
- bertdevriese, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2duggmirror? no?
- codergnome, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That "***** weird" feeling is your hands thanking you for not using QWERTY.
For the record, I never switched key caps when I switched to Dvorak. In fact, 4+ years later, my keyboard is still arranged QWERTY (they don't fit any other way). Doesn't bother me one bit. - f4nt0m4s, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i can't use the microsoft natural keyboard because the b is on the right set of keys and i'm a weirdo that pushes the b key with my left hand...oh well
- opusaz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I have a hard time with anything except the Microsoft NaturalTouch. Been using them for years. If you want to buy unusual ergonomic keyboards try here: http://store.ergocube.com/pckeyboards.html They're non-profit and donate proceeds to charity. They deal entirely with ergonomic solutions.
As for mice, I'm a huge fan of the vertical mouse http://store.ergocube.com/evsu.html. They used to be found in CompUSAs but now just online.
I'm sincerely not promoting this site and I'm not associated with them. My apologies if this post is inappropriate. - JonTheGoose, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Those Data Hand things look pretty neat. Wonder if you can game with those....
- nubnub, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1HaHa I have that Microsoft keyboard. Almost grabbed it after I got my current keyboard wet. I used to use it all the time, but it would feel totally weird now.
- ohmar, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1so, thats pretty freakin useless
- br0ther, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1with a real type writer grip of your normal keyboard the data hand isn't that unusual.
- pyry, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Duggmirror didn't preserve it, it seems
- psykiv, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Actually, looking at the keyboard, the layout actually makes sense. Seriously, type some words in your head looking at that keyboard.
http://mykeyboard.co.uk/microswitch/ - denacem, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1some of them look scary
- greatkingrat85, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2It looks like a spoof of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYj6TceYio0
- buglord, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Sadly incomplete without the Fingerworks Keyboards. (http://www.fingerworks.com/) Sadly defunct, this company was supposedly bought up by Apple, which then used the technology to develop multitouch.
- bigwyrm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Nah. Servers like that are common.
- fullstop102, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Yeah it is a spoof of the Hoff incident. Very good!
- waratah, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1There was a keyboard that looked like a cylinder as well. I actually owned a Cherry, not a bad keyboard.
- vystral, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1hahaha ya finally
- jonasschneider, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I always think the boards are broken when i see one of them^^
btw: dvorak is really better (=faster) then qwerty, cuz qwerty was designed to slow typing down cuz of mechanical keyboard jamming.... - grubwort, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I f in d i t q ui te a nnoyin g, p ers on a lly.
- TeleKawaru, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I've been using a Kinesis keyboard for years now. Have one at work as well.
- WriterofDreams, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0honestly..imagine going to work every day and having to get used to each one. those keyboards are definitely weird, and definitely not going anywhere in the future...I'm sticking with my current one, thanks! :)
- Karate007, on 10/09/2008, -0/+0he he this is better http://digg.com/design/Any_languages_keyboard
