- Durrok, on 06/01/2009, -0/+6My only complaint about Drupal is that the documentation for 6.x is terrible. There are so many how tos that are desperately in need of updating. I hang out in the freenode irc channel for Drupal support and time and time again I see someone say "Awesome, I just figured out how to do X!" Me: "Great! Go update or write some documentation for it" Them: "Yeah.... uhm... I need to go wash my hair..."
Seriously people, help the community. You figure out how to do something or how to do it in a later version then what Drupal has documentation please take the 15-30 minutes to write/update the documentation for that item. You can always drop by drupal-support or drupal-docs and I'd be more then happy to go over it with you. :) - badtiki, on 06/01/2009, -2/+6The best resource I use every day is http://drupalmodules.com/ - that and the zen theme - Drupalmodules is an awesome resource for finding the right module for the job, modules are rated and reviewed - very nice.
- shadows88, on 06/01/2009, -1/+5Thanks for letting us know. Keep us updated.
- superkendall, on 06/01/2009, -0/+4Then post a Joomla article and comment in that.
- CircleFusion, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3Is there a screenshot preview of the upcoming design?
Edit: ah, found this.. http://drupal.markboultondesign.com/ - dogfood, on 06/01/2009, -2/+5Imagefield > Image. There's a big difference.
- niradg, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3Agreed. The rating of modules, the real-time search, etc.. make it the best place to find modules.
- amoeba, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3as an ex-joomla developer and current drupal developer, I disagree :)
- CircleFusion, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3As a previous Joomla user and current Drupal user, I like Drupal better. There is a small learning curve with wading through the available modules (mostly nailing down CCK/Views/PathAuto/Taxonomy/Menus/WYSIWYG/Image handling). After that, Drupal turns out to be quite flexible and capable. The vast amount of tutorials sites out in the wild (many of them having screencasts) help with getting past the learning curve.
I have good hopes for version 7. Drupal is going in a good direction. - awesinine, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2obvious bot is obvious
p.s. not clicking the link and will avoid any franchises that are promoted in this way :-D - CircleFusion, on 06/01/2009, -0/+2Dunno why you're being dugg down. That's a good resource. I didn't even realize Panels 3 was being worked on.
- Lewisham, on 06/01/2009, -0/+2Digging this just because everything is on a single page.
- keyo, on 06/01/2009, -0/+2I just joined the Drupal Association today to put some money towards the drupal.org redesign. Drupal.org sucks pretty hard at the moment but there is a new slick and fully featured site coming. :)
Also Drupal 7 should bring some much needed changes to the UI. - NerdyDillinger, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1Very Good Collection. I have to start using other CMS' other than Wordpress.
- Pooball, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1The best template for drupal is the one you make yourself....
- keyo, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1Of themes, yes. However the modules selection was lacking. No mention of Ubercart, Context, Organic Groups, Imagefield, Devel package, Date and Calendar. Heaps of top notch modules have been missed out. They missed out Drush too, Drush is similar to apt-get, but for Drupal, which is absolute win when you have 10 sites to maintain.
Also, WTF is this doing in here...No body uses 4.7
" Allows administrators with direct access to the Drupal database on their site from within the Drupal user interface. Compatible with Drupal 4.7.x. "
For the most part it's a good collection, just the modules part is not researched nearly as well as the themes and tutorials parts. A lot of the modules seem geared towards a blog. Drupal is okay for blogs, but wordpress is much quicker to setup. Drupal is really for more custom purposes, hence it's a content management system. - niradg, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1Great to see this on the Digg frontpage.
- thebrokenlight, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1This is a perfect example of a page where everything being on the same page makes it much more frustrating to navigate.
- amoeba, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1Here's the themes and modules sorted by popularity on drupal.org
modules by popularity: http://drupal.org/project/modules?solrsort=sis_pro ...
themes by popularity: http://drupal.org/project/themes?solrsort=sis_proj ...
a more accurate reflection of relevance imo - congtroi, on 07/21/2009, -0/+0This site http://www.vitinhcu.com
use drupal for 2 years. Then I can say it is good to use drupal for thousands nodes content sites - billricardi, on 06/01/2009, -2/+2Nice list. To go right to the source for Earl Miles' stuff:
http://www.angrydonuts.com/
He's the author of Views, Panels, and Node Queue. He's also one of the 2008 Open Source CMS MVP award winners, and a great friend of mine. Drupal would be a very different animal without his contributions. - keyo, on 06/01/2009, -1/+1The answer is views.
- congtroi, on 07/15/2009, -0/+0I think you should edit for your need on the way

- xCIone, on 06/01/2009, -4/+3what a huge resources.i should try some of the plugins
- Ravenhaft, on 06/01/2009, -6/+1Anyone else think initially that this was referring to a toolkit to look like a tranny? Apparently that would be the RuPaul toolkit...
- AlyxVance, on 06/01/2009, -8/+3Joomla is way better
- WauloK, on 06/01/2009, -11/+1Tried Drupal once but it wasn't what I wanted. Prefer Joomla instead.

What is Digg?
