- allthewhile, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Can we stop the negative comments about EVERY SINGLE FREAKING ARTICLE THAT MAKES IT TO THE FRONT PAGE? Enough already.
- Zedizdead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you don't like a story, don't read it. It's really that simple. I'm just amazed how people will go into a story they know that are not going to like, take the time to post a negative response, and say No Digg as if their digg means anything.
- ExplodingBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for the comments on the designs. I created eleven menu designs a while back with nothing but positive feedback, so I figured I would just create some more. They weren't meant to be revolutionary in any way, just helpful to beginners.
- EyePulp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow Mooseknuckle, ease off. Nowhere in the post or the linked item does he claim substantial differences for each menu. Sure, it's one version with simple graphic variations, but why the multi-question-marked anger?
People seem very proud of their ability to withhold a digg and make every effort to announce it. I'm guilty of it too. I suppose since it's the only form of currency in the digg-verse, it's the only way we can express our tiny little rages against life.
And now I'll shut up. - carguy84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1very cool

the black ones blends with the ff "black japan" theme... ill use it - nzeeshan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1very nice .. we need more free menus like this.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1>Does anyone think I should go for a more complex looking button for the sidebar?
Wow, thats old school. I would loose the frames for sure, and at least use a table for your layout.
A simple:
***leftbarstuff**
*mainpages*
Its not great, but would look much better at least. - jayred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1These aren't revolutionary or amazing, but they have a nice, simple design and are put together well.
- DaveMN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1These are nice, but I could really use something similar that can wrap the longer tab text to 2 rows when needed, while still keeping all the single-line tab text vertically centered. Anybody seen such a thing?
- saxmanlarry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I still prefer a very simple use of CSS, I don't know much at all about CSS, but my use at
http://www.highlandmusic.org
is simple. Does anyone think I should go for a more complex looking button for the sidebar? (I only do the side bar and the second section) I had a very clunky, completely image based nav bar before this, so I loved the change. Is this one too simple? - midbach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They aren't 'amazing' but a nice set. Worth a digg I think...
- ctheory, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice. I look forward to the web moving more towards CSS (see: standards-based web design).
- ExplodingBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@yongfook: The tabs are just an example. If you resize the text the tab image will eventually be too small. This problem can be fixed by simply making the image larger in width.
@chrisbudden: You can either add a large amount of padding to the left of the #tab ul style or redo the menus using tips like so - Centered Tabs with CSS - saxmanlarry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0PS Keep in mind I am in no way responsible for the formatting (however horrible it may look) on any of the pages under the "band" section.
- nonunique, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1down already?!

- SenyWD, on 02/24/2009, -0/+0Download free standards compliant CSS layouts: http://www.free-css-layouts.com
- yongfook, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0handy, but it looks like the same code over and over with just different background images.
plus, enlarging the text breaks the "long text" tab in Safari. - chrisbudden, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0www.chrisbudden.be/CSSmenus2.zip
Could someone tell me how i could get the tabs to move from the left to the centre of my page? - joeyjojo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"but I could really use something similar that can wrap the longer tab text to 2 rows when needed"
If you are using tabs, there shouldn't be so many as to wrap. ;o) - bcr8u, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0can anyone mirror the file?
- bcr8u, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hm, sorry about that double post...
I can mirror it on my server if I can ever get the file, if anyone wants it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://exploding-boy.com/images/CSSmenus2.zip

- firehydra2k, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0meh, i can even make this. Appealing, but no need...(this is just like clip art)
- ezkiel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"I just blocked all of you for your stupid comments." -kidhero
Oh GOD no people kidhero won't read your comments. If he doesn't read them then what will we do. Keep it to yourself kidhero, I know I dont care, and not to break my own rule but guess who's comments won't be ***** up my view anymore either. - kidhero, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I just blocked all of you for your stupid comments.
- saxmanlarry, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0@Milo_hoffman
I would of course loose the frames, but as you can see, we only take care of half the site, initial fundamental flaw, but there's no way around that. Top of the site is another person's (as you can see its an AOL Hometown thing). It's then consolidated with my own nav bar and bottom site, and someone else does the content for the bottom pages, while I try to steer them for formatting and layout.
Keeping the constraint of needing to point to that third party site in mind, is there a better way to handle the overall layout of the site?

- Mooseknuckle, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1How's this 12 different designs?? It's all the same "generic" css tab implementation with different colors is all ...
And the rounded corners can be done much cleaner without gifs ... google for "krazy korners"
Not bad menus, but hardly worth if a digg !!! - SirSid, on 05/27/2009, -3/+0whoa sombody notice diggs new layout
- FredFlintstone, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Oh boy. A CSS story!
- Mooseknuckle, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I dont mean to be a negative Nelly, but seriously, some dumb stuff makes it to the front page... I'm not sure why so many people are impressed by banal stuff that's been done better several times...
It seems like all you have to do is dig something with the word CSS in the title, and BAM --> Frong Page!!
