Travel Time Tube Map
tom-carden.co.uk — "An interactive London subway map that spatially morphs according to the estimated travel times from a selected station. shortest paths are used to place the other stations, as radius is time & angles are kept correct for as-the-crow-flies direction on a map. the grey concentric circles are placed at 10 minute intervals."

- TomCarden, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0To those who think they saw this a month ago, perhaps you saw Oskar Karlin's print maps for Elephant and Castle?
http://digg.com/design/Mapping_with_time_instead_of_distance
My applet is barely one week old! It's an interactive extension of Oskar's work, generalised to make time-based maps for any station.
Thanks for the many diggs!
(Oh, and apologies if the server was down when you tried to visit - it runs several other high traffic sites too, and applets aren't the lightest of things to serve to thousands of eager diggers!) - amigiac, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Pile of *****, not at all useful I live in London and all these times are fictitious.
- TomCarden, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Charming! They're from this map and seem to match the TfL journey planner quite well, except for interchange times (I'd add 4 minutes per change as a rough estimate) - do you know of a better free source of data?
