- trollenlord, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9The weirdest desks of them all are missing. I'm talking about Giger's (the guy who made Alien) furniture. Check http://www.hrgiger.com/
- theblooms, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5What? No spool? Blasphemy.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5that ipod table is lame, so a guy cuts a panio shaped peice of wood and sticks an ipod dock in it. wow stop the presses
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I like the Mini desk.
- Celeron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4THe iPod concerto table is interesting.
- PaGaNism, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That last desk was very interesting.. Dugg just for that TBH.
- phreakintheroom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The data tile table and the Catchyoo table in particular caught my interest...some of the ***** they're coming up with these days is cool as hell.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I haven't seen the data tiles, so I pretty much skeeted when I saw that. The folding comp/bed desk was cool, except I don't think my tower would go so well ... :(
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The Sony Tile Table was AWESOME! Ya gotta check it out.
- EnderW, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Here is a link straight to Giger's furniture page.
http://www.hrgiger.com/frame.htm - Chongo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Am I getting old? I can't read the grey on blue text!
- fatlip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1tiles are bulky though.. should use magnetic marbles that even the screen's driver can roll around and place properly... that'd be sick.
to bad no designing is ever round at first - xswag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I didn't see any Giger desks but plenty of chairs for one.
- NumberFour, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That wing desk looks pretty awesome. I'd buy it.
- bennyboy371, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I LOVE that mini desk. The computer bed/desk would be nice, except it looks a little... thin? Aren't twin beds tiny enough? Its barely as wide as that pillow. I don't think anyone could sleep on such a thing except small children. For someone who wants something like that, I'd say just go with the dorm room standard. Bunked bed on top, massive desk on bottom. Worked flawlessly with me.
- cthulhu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Here's mine: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/165754/
- kiraevo, on 03/02/2008, -0/+1Ok. The song played during the Catchyoo video is sweet.
http://host2nv.com - andrew522, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i too thought that that bed was a little thin, but if you look on the website
http://www.flyingbeds.com/14.Euro_BunkBed/DeskBed/DeskBed.htm
you can see that there is a double size bed with a second shelf too
EDIT: idk why but digg keeps screwing up my link. copy and paste the text.
more dorm room space, id say. - Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've got this table, it's made of teak, it doesn't do anything but hold things up nicely. The strange part is that it's made of real wood, not laminated particleboard, metal, or plastic.
- tzmartin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I wouldn't consider Sony's data tiles to be ready for consumer release, rather than a prototype to show the possibilities with interactivity and data transfer. Phillips is developing something very similar, as is other tech companies. You can see advancements with this technology beginning with the next generation cell phones / personal tech. It's happening right now.
Wide consumer acceptance will happen within 5 years as old technology become obsolete. - steve693, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That Lambda Table reminds me of the maps from Aliens. =p
- ElectricGrandpa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13 of the tables were almost identical "motion sensing" tables... big deal.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like the Sony concept...how or who would be the target users is beyond me
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The Periodic table beets them all
- Anubis2051, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1digg just for the baseball feild in the first video!
- thoughtcriminal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ok. The song played during the Catchyoo video is sweet. Does anyone know what/whose it was? Wierd request, I know, but I couldn't find credit for it anywhere, and I want to buy it! :)
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2It's funny cause the pic. of the desk at the top was on the list for best desk even on digg before ;)
- deweysax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0THE WING is just GREAT !!!!! I need to negociate with my wife now ... well ... might be dead before it starts ... ;-)
- rwtf91, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have to say that tile interface is quite amazing, but why haven't we seen anything more from it yet, because this video is in fact at least a year old. i did a search for 'Sony data tiles' and this story came up (http://www.digg.com/technology/Tile_based_user_interface) But it may even be older. One of the comments reads 'I friend sent me a video of this early 2003'. So wtf?? this could be so cool and revolutionary. oh well another flop for Sony..boo!
- Jonny5alive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anyone else notice that several things on the list are not desks or tables....
The last one was a pretty freaking amazing computer concept though.

What is Digg?
