- Pseudorious, on 10/12/2007, -1/+61Yup, prostitutes take cash.
- Rickard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+57This reminded me of the best pickup line ever:
You: Do you wanna do some magic?
She: Sure.
You: You come home with me, we f***, and then you disappear! - MackDiesel2010, on 10/12/2007, -3/+39Pick up a girl??
- crashflow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27hey don't knock it. David Copperfield got Claudia Schiffer (sp?) back in the day...then the hypnotism wore off...
- guytoronto, on 10/12/2007, -5/+32Everyone needs a little David Cooperfield.

- simpleid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15I thought the trick the kid taught, The Revolver, was pretty cool. That seems to be the most elaborate of them all.
- Kamisado, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11GOB > any other magician.
Ever. - paulmdx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Hey this is Digg, anything has got to be worth a try. ;-)
- fishbert, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11You don't need magic to pick up a girl...
Just keep your back straight, and use your legs to do the lifting. - grahamcase, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Chicks digg magic tricks. It's like chocolate, but less delicious, and less fun to lick off a body...

- Phatt138, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10There are quite a few gripes here, but I wanted to add one -
Is it absolutely necessary, in every single video tutorial on the web, to have crappy nu-metal-screamo-whine-punk playing in the background? Does it somehow add to the experience? I don't know about everyone else, but when I'm trying to learn something, I find it more than a little distracting to be listening to flavor-of-the-day college rock. Couldn't they just - oh I dunno - explain what they're doing instead of throwing up 3 words of text while some brat's screaming about his girlfriend and how no one understands him?
If I want to learn a magic trick while listening to 30 year-olds wax philisophical about highschool cliques I can add the soundtrack myself, thankyouverymuch. - Zyphron, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Sure...you ever hear of a guy named Mystery?
- jimchristian, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11I haven't looked at the list yet (and will probably be dugg down...), but I do know a thing or two about good magic resources. Here are some books that I am (continuously!) reading - my practice is sporadic, but that's the most essential part of it all (as with everything, right?). The links are to amazon.com, as most of digg.com readership appears to be US-based.
- The Royal Road to Card Magic (http://www.amazon.com/Royal-Road-Card-Magic/dp/0486408434/sr=8-1/qid=1169475283/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-4965693-0949619?ie=UTF8&s=books)
- Modern Coin Magic (http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Coin-Magic-J-B-Bobo/dp/1845570693/sr=8-1/qid=1169475331/ref=sr_1_1/002-4965693-0949619?ie=UTF8&s=books)
- Now You See It, Now You Don't! (http://www.amazon.com/Now-You-See-Dont-Lessons/dp/0394722027/sr=8-2/qid=1169475353/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/002-4965693-0949619?ie=UTF8&s=books)
and while not a magic book per se, the most recent biography on Houdini is fantastically insightful and worth a read to anyone who considers themselves more knowledgable than most on the subject of magic:
- The Secret Life of Houdini (http://www.amazon.com/Secret-Life-Houdini-Americas-Superhero/dp/0743272072/sr=8-1/qid=1169475435/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-4965693-0949619?ie=UTF8&s=books) - sv650touring, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Anyone ever notice how trying to impress girls invariably has the opposite of the desired effect?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4with music like that, they should teach how to make your ears disappear.
- Oldschoolhack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5While I understand what you mean, it does however force magicians to come up with new and creative tricks - no one likes to see the same crap over and over again. Grok on that while I master the shoelace tying skillz.
- 5hop4orce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Penguin Magic and Ellusionist are partly to blame for this. Their delivery method practically puts the gun in the pirate's hands. I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to say that Penguin Magic and Ellusionist are themselves killing magic.
- Xenogis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3DO NOT DIGG THIS MAN DOWN!
- number9ine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It is a pretty simple "trick".
You have your shoe already tied, and the tied part tucked up your pants. You also have the untied lace hanging down your pants via the pulley, sticking out to look like it is the laces in your shoe. You then whip your leg around letting the untied lace fly everywhere, and as you near the reveal, you retract the lace and shake your leg more violently to cause your tied lace to fall out and replace the untied lace. A lot of street magicians have this trick prepped at all times, waiting for a passerby to take the "hey your shoe is untied" bait. That way it seems completely spontaneous. - xstephx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Someone who wants to impress a girl should just do more than easy card tricks.
- JohnnyRad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3yeah i could see why this is on the front page...
- Xenogis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why don't you go out into the real world if you feel it is lonely here?
- MusicSoup, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Any links to those?
- airship, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Doing magic badly is just as pathetic as singing badly, dancing badly, or acting badly. A good magic performance takes PRACTICE.
Someone who just wants to do a few tricks to impress a girl should stick to simple, self-working tricks. They can often be just as impressive and mystifying as tricks that require preparation and practice. Those shown via this link are all professional tricks, and it takes a professional to do them right. An amateur will just come off as lame if he tries them. - 70judge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That kicked ass, especially that revolver trick. Thanks!
- magicRob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3GOB in action :)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=-tumH9rULeI - 5hop4orce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"With a little more practice the trick might be well presented."
Not for anyone who's seen this video.
You're supposed to practice these tricks in ABSOLUTE PRIVACY until mastered. Then you show your close friends and family. Then--maybe--you show strangers. At no point do you ever tell anyone how it's done. If you mess up any of those steps, the trick is ruined. - Rage67, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3notice how no girls have said anything...
all guys making all the comments...
its a lonely world out there in cyberspace - FueledByWilfred, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3My cousin Wayne Houchin created the quarter through the soda can one. He sold the rights to Cris Angel for his A&E Series
- slowmotiony, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2it's great but you might wanna look for the original explanation video made by Criss Angel, it's way better.
- exoendo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4take your meds it will be ok. Showing how to palm != rain forest destruction.
- mdigirol, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i just don't like this. i do a lot of these tricks and when the secret is revealed to everybody i have to work over a new routine

- 93ex, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I was hoping the shoe lace one was going to save me time in the morning, but it's still pretty cool.
- BigDPez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Okay tricks, but very poorly performed. Even the revolver, a potentially neat trick was done horribly. You could see the two cards he was palming come apart multiple times. With a little more practice the trick might be well presented.
- flipjargendy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Expect to find the guys in the video on digg once again. They will be under the article:
"Magicians Guild Murders Rogue Magicians" - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ok ok Im going to correct myself, maybe someone does own some of the magic BUT.....You can't stop people from posting. Besides Internet has been mainstream from quite a while now and I have not seen a problem with people revealing magic tricks. Ive tried googling and I dont get squat. so RELAX WILL YA???? MENSO!!
- exoendo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"GOB > any other magician.
Ever."
ILLUSIONIST! - 5hop4orce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2There's a problem with that argument: Where do these "new tricks" come from?
I'm telling you, we're almost out of new tricks. - Dayyve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You make a good point - I love the tricks until I see how they're done. It's like looking at a nasty car crash; you don't want to look but you can't help it then your sorry you did in hindsight. On another note though I agree with the digger who said it will force magicians to come up with new (better?) tricks.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Stole them from who? IDIOT! No one owns these trick and niether do you!
