  • Dracos, on 10/11/2007, -1/+42Yes, MySpace sucks. So did it's predecessors: GeoCities, Tripod, etc. If it's too easy for anyone to put "content" on the web, then inevitably 99% of that "content" will be trash presented in a retina-peeling manner.

    MySpace layouts, er, atrocities, are only possible because they allow style tags outside the HTML head, which is invalid. If the browsers would simply ignore these misplaced style tags, MySpace would disappear.

The only reason you can even do this is because most browsers will (incorrectly) render the < style > element when it's within the < body >. It belongs in < head >.

Either way, you had to actually learn Internet technologies and at least the terminology (like FTP). MySpace allows just about any retard to put their unwanted "contributions" on the Internet. Plus it's got a built-in popularity contest that just make Diggers/Slashdotters naturally allergic to it.
