Pretty much sums it up. - miles01110, on 10/11/2007, -10/+307I'll just post the joke :
[style type="text/css"]
* {
display: none;
}
[/style]
Sorry, couldn't use actual HTML tags but you get the picture. - totallyAMAZING, on 10/11/2007, -12/+203Myspace + Flawless = Oxymoron
- alanmarchman, on 11/13/2007, -3/+193I soildly concur. I actually signed up for a myspace account last weekend and did something similar, but added in my custom background images. http://myspace.com/alanmarchman
me hearts CSS - steppingrazor, on 10/22/2007, -7/+142if JS was possible
location.replace("http://www.facebook.com"); - LegendOfLink, on 10/11/2007, -7/+131When I first read "Myspace design", I was going to throw in an oxymoron joke. Then, I actually clicked on the article and I laughed my ass off. Digg very well deserved.
- andy3109, on 10/11/2007, -1/+100580 million dollars later I don't think Tom gives a *****.
- Spuy767, on 10/22/2007, -4/+88Myspace is currently the HTML equivalent of a third world country, so I'll be happy if people start to make it prettier.
Edit: Site was pwned when I tried to view, I did not realize that this was a joke. - subliminalurge, on 10/28/2007, -13/+87"The Ultimate MySpace Layout"?
Up Next: "Winner of the 2007 Best-Smelling Fart contest!" - atariby, on 10/11/2007, -12/+78http://myspace.com/andrewonrails
- geneticlone, on 10/11/2007, -2/+66the ultimate myspace layout is a dead link, go figure.
- rosefu, on 10/11/2007, -12/+70Finally, a layout reflects the actual content of MySpace!
- eean, on 10/11/2007, -0/+53Hamster Dance was awesome gfair, don't you dare diss it.
- f3l1x, on 10/11/2007, -3/+47I cant get to it but i assume its a huge #FFFFFF, 100% by 100% absolute div.
- Dracos, on 10/11/2007, -1/+42Yes, MySpace sucks. So did it's predecessors: GeoCities, Tripod, etc. If it's too easy for anyone to put "content" on the web, then inevitably 99% of that "content" will be trash presented in a retina-peeling manner.
MySpace layouts, er, atrocities, are only possible because they allow style tags outside the HTML head, which is invalid. If the browsers would simply ignore these misplaced style tags, MySpace would disappear. - gfair, on 10/11/2007, -1/+37Yeah, MySpace is like those horrid animated gif pages of the mid 90s with dancing rodents and bad music.
- naio, on 10/11/2007, -2/+36WTFZOR? This is new...
- Terc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+34Yup, don't worry, hundreds of people are still digging the dead page
- mikev, on 10/11/2007, -4/+37myspace is a joke
- 80hd, on 10/11/2007, -2/+34Myspace is the bathroom wall of the internet.
- oscotto, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32Nice... but they will close the account just for removing the ad bar.
Like the design and myspace is LAME - iceflame, on 10/11/2007, -1/+31http://myspace.com/Canibreakmyspace
.. yes, yes you can - Ozzy73, on 10/11/2007, -7/+35

You gotta be a CSS junkie to fully appreciate the awesomeness of those three lines of code. - frimple, on 10/11/2007, -2/+25I'm digging you down because you listed Ray Romano as someone you would like to meet.
- Flanker, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19Myspace was designed with all the foresight of a blind mole rat. It's not even supposed to support themes/layouts/whatever. The only reason you can even do this is because most browsers will (incorrectly) render the < style > element when it's within the < body >. It belongs in < head >.
- xXShadowstormXx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17@Dracos (#7028036)
Wow, Geocities. That was like, epic suck. - mattmcm, on 10/11/2007, -4/+20@ f3l1x:
Close. A for effort. - frimple, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16I wish you would let me turn off your ***** music. I hate it when people assume I want to listen to the ***** you like..
- dRuNk3nIrIsHmEn, on 10/23/2007, -2/+18smackywentz was really hoping to find the ultimate myspace layout
- hoojus, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17@h0dg3s
But at least a digg user can read an article that is only 3 lines - PixelVision, on 10/11/2007, -3/+18They really need a click counter on Digg so idiots will stop saying stuff like this.
- jarrydm, on 10/11/2007, -6/+21And I, for one, welcome our new southpark-quoting overlords.
- zyl0x, on 10/11/2007, -3/+18Dead already?
- vdxc, on 09/29/2008, -3/+18...diggs
But 1 digg != 1 hit. - Mike89, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17Above is what the page actually says.
- Elranzer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14True but GeoCities (in its day) was always for computer nerds or goths. Either way, you had to actually learn Internet technologies and at least the terminology (like FTP). MySpace allows just about any retard to put their unwanted "contributions" on the Internet. Plus it's got a built-in popularity contest that just make Diggers/Slashdotters naturally allergic to it.
- Jerode, on 10/22/2007, -6/+19Put this between your style tags
* {

Digg actually writes code for me, and then I ***** it up.
I guess I have to bury you. - speerross, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12I did, it got cloudy
- zyl0x, on 10/11/2007, -7/+18Don't link to duggmirror if it's not mirrored, tool.
- iSeven, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12the background annoys my eyes.
- kevyn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12please tell us all how to do this.
- shinynew, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10***** sucks.
- btgoss, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Listen Dude, I know your getting dugg down, and to be honest, the psuedo-gangsta rapper thing is a bit weird.... I just don't get it... regardless... that is not a terrible layout. Again, one could argue about the strange gangsta attraction, but the layout looks pretty good... now stop with all that rapper nonsense....
- cevil203, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10ultimate myspace layout? one that looks like facebook
