Most people are going to find your site using Google or Yahoo, not directly typing it in (unless you are one of the relatively few top sites on the web). SEO is more important that the domain name in my opinion.

Ya, sure. You see people mining old books - mythology and stuff, but that's generally pretty obvious and those guys invariably end up repeating each other.
Getting cool names is 100% magic art. You cultivate a state of receptivity and laidbackness and then wait for a gift from above. Smoking a little weed can help.
