- magaman, on 05/16/2009, -2/+6BURIED, all these themes are pay themes, this is just a big advertisement.
- inactive, on 05/16/2009, -0/+4Hence "Premium", dickweed.
- HawgFrog, on 05/16/2009, -0/+2Nothing of interest here. None of these have anything over the free themes available. Besides, it easy enough to build your own theme. Why pay for one?
- MtheoryX, on 05/17/2009, -0/+2At this point, if you can't figure out how to build a Wordpress theme from scratch, you're either:
1) Too lazy to work,
2) Too stupid to think, or
3) Too clueless to search

Seriously, people, this isn't rocket science.
And if you want a theme that's more of a framework (like Thesis), but totally free, try the Thematic theme:
http://themeshaper.com/ - Greg-J, on 05/16/2009, -0/+2Some good, most just "meh". I like the lists of free premium themes better. One thing I like about the comments on threads like this is that I always find themes posted in the comments so I'll do my part:

http://bustatheme.com/wordpress/wp-coda/ - empercom, on 05/17/2009, -0/+1This is a pretty good list of premium wordpress themes. For free themes I like performancing[dot]com. They have some great themes for free that you can easily customize if you know basic HTML and CSS.
- lovethemes, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1Nothing like using other peoples work to make your content look less *****
- berserc, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1Navigation and readability make good blog designs, not over produced graphics. Buried.
- empercom, on 05/17/2009, -0/+1True, Thesis is what you make of it. Thesis is one of those themes that has those customization features that gives it that extra "ummph". I also really like the WPRemix CMS theme. Very Cool!
- WhatsACoder, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1wordpress is one of the most popularly used blogging tool today... it's flexible and very customizable... you just need a webhost and an own domain to have a big foundation and you're on the go.
- IsraGeek, on 05/17/2009, -0/+1These are great themes. I've been considering changing the theme of one of my sites, and these gave me some fantastic ideas.
- MtheoryX, on 05/17/2009, -0/+1I don't see how you can separate the two; there's a great overlap area between how a blog looks and how usable it is.
One example that comes to mind is Digg versus Reddit. - ashishthakkar, on 09/22/2009, -0/+1Some of these designs are just unbelievable but most of them are too heavy.
Time to re-design my blog :)
regards,
ASHISH THAKKAR - IamNomad, on 05/18/2009, -0/+1Dugg up as informative.
- MtheoryX, on 05/17/2009, -0/+1I'd be more interested in Thesis if it weren't so damned expensive.
If you want a "theme framework" like Thesis (one that is very easy to extend and customize), but don't want to pay a ton of money, take a look at the Thematic theme:
http://themeshaper.com/thematic/ - virtualrosario, on 07/27/2009, -0/+0Navigation and readability make good blog designs... http://www.virtualrosario.com Thanks
- rcollamore, on 05/16/2009, -1/+1i use free hosting on blogger for this - http://allofcraigs.com and host external files, like javascript on amazon s3 for pennies a month.
- InactiveCargo, on 05/16/2009, -2/+2These seem to be video blog and portfolio themes. I would have liked some themes you could post ACTUAL WORDS on them.
- masykur, on 07/04/2009, -0/+0are these themes SEO friendly?
http://stopdreamingstartaction.almuhsin.or.id - hermanschutte, on 05/17/2009, -0/+0Coda is pretty cool.
- ozaibak, on 06/17/2009, -0/+0You don't need to pay for a premium theme. A very professional and customizable theme is Atahualpa by BytesForAll. It's by far the most user friendly and customizable theme I've encountered in WordPress. You don't need to know css or php to create a very customized theme from it, he's made a solid interface to make it easy. I'm using it for my marketing blog at http://www.bluefalconmarketing.com if you're interested in seeing a sample implementation.
- shikharai, on 06/05/2009, -0/+0I have created a Article of World's best looking 10 wordpress themes at: http://www.rajeshpatel.net/get-10-beautiful-wordpr ...
- daddymcguire, on 05/16/2009, -3/+2They're all pretty nice, but Thesis is what you make of it. The "out of the box" look is pretty bare
- CursedMonkey, on 05/16/2009, -2/+1Actually, people stay on a blog longer if it looks better. Theres also a study that shows the longer people stay on your site, the more likely you are to get conversions. I can't find it right now, but the article was on Digg a while ago.
- jimmysilvs, on 05/16/2009, -1/+0people pay for cookie cutter wordpress themes?
- mickeyknoxxx, on 05/16/2009, -4/+3Pople don't care about how a blog looks. It's usability and content that make people read your blog.
- inactive, on 05/16/2009, -3/+2There is lots of places you can find themes better then that for free.
- inactive, on 05/16/2009, -2/+0... yeah because that warranted a bury.
- inactive, on 05/16/2009, -3/+1These themes are always good to look at the bones, the structure, when building your own.

What is Digg?
