      No. The only characters that were supposed to be in all 6 movies were the droids. Watch the original 3 again. They open and close with a shot of the droids.

      Its totally about the rise, fall and final redemption of Anakin Skywalker!
      The droids are just the comic releif, a sort of metal Laurel and Hardy.

      Originally story was to be being pulled from the droids data banks. It is about the fall and redemption of Anakin/Vader, but it was told from the droid's point of view.

      I still think Mace has no place bumping Lando...

    It'd be nice for someone to get a scale image of the original and then start up the star wars and religion topic again.

  • mrinternet, on 10/12/2007, -15/+4I know this is a sad comment but in the Da Vinci Code we learnt that in the last supper there is a coincidental (perhaps), symmetry between what is the Princess Leah/Mary Magdalene character (in you fabulous artwork), so that you could cut and paste it out and put it next to your luke/jesus character everything fits window etc.

    It is a small shame this was not done here. The serendipity would have been brilliant.

      Sorry to tell you mate but the Da Vinci code was something called "fiction".
      Therefore 'learning' means 'discovering' via the interaction of a medium such as something called 'reading', ask your mom she'll explain it to you.

  • mcangeli, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5While its a nice image, it doesn't really fit the time. You have characters spread out across time. Darth Maul, Han, Leia, Luke, the OLD Obi Wan, it just doesn't fit.

    For it to truely have been a "last supper" type painting, it should have been the anikin from the 3rd movie and characters from I, II and III.

  • kaimoku, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3This is pretty old. It was in the giant issure number 5 (I'm not sure what month(s) that one came out, I read a lot of the back issues a few months ago.) It's still friggin' sweet, though. Once I saw that painting in the mag, I had to find it and set it as my desktop, so it's been in my rotation for a few months now.

    I guess anything connected to StarWars will get kudoes from lots of people, but not this fellow......

  • Nick519, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Lyph4 (unjustly being dugg down up near the top) is correct: the original idea lucas had was to have the entire series be from the perspective of 3PO and R2. he quickly changed the idea, but there are still threads of it that remain, like the ownership of the droids passing among anakin, obi-wan, leia, and luke.
