- apolloae, on 10/10/2007, -16/+11Most are rather simplistic, which is nice, but can get old.
- tonaros, on 11/14/2007, -4/+15Simplistic is the FUTURE. Just ask Digg.
- pierre, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9less is more. in an age of too much info, i really appreciate simple. that being said i have not seen the site, bc it went down....

- ngmcs8203, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Am I the only one who expects sites like these to have some sort of information on the home page relating to the site. I'm all for galleries, but tell me why when I first open the page. This feels like the first time I used Kuler. I knew it would be helpful eventually but I had to play around with it before I really knew how to take advantage of it's resources.
- smackhero, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1it seems like a pretty self-explanatory web app.
- MajorSmall, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3If you hit the "About" link at the top of the page, it gives you a little blurb about how you might find the site useful:
"Faveup is a simple gallery of inspirational design. Everybody gets designer's block sometimes so it's nice to have somewhere to go to get your creative juices flowing again. Faveup also gives credit where credit is due, rewarding great design with the respect and linkage it deserves."
- vcpirkle, on 10/10/2007, -4/+3How does a page go down sooo fast?
- OwdenBowden, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18When two pages really love each other....
- mike17032, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2Thanks, I just spit water all over my keybord

- NapkinCat, on 10/10/2007, -8/+2***** web service sure is slick
- Submerge, on 10/10/2007, -13/+6Dugg down, this is spam.
- smackhero, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9how is it spam? it's exactly what the digg title/description states. and it's useful for designers. there are no adverts on the site, and it's not trying to sell you anything or even link to any commercial sites or services. if you have no need for such a site then, fine, don't look at it. but calling it spam just cuz you have no use for the site is just dumb, especially when it's clearly indicated that the site is for design inspiration.
- Submerge, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2Actually, they do have advert space.
- smackhero, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1but it's not being used ATM. so they aren't making any money through advertising, nor are visitors subjected to ads right now.
- Submerge, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2Actually, they do have advert space.

- sedo1800, on 10/10/2007, -10/+6how did this get on the front page?
- ricpaton, on 10/10/2007, -11/+1If the site can't cope with a quick digg then it's f*cked!
And the mirror simply catches a redirect: http://duggmirror.com/design/Slick_New_Design_Inspiration_Site_Logos_Cards_and_Websites/ - cmgarcia, on 10/10/2007, -8/+5Weak.
- sedo1800, on 10/10/2007, -13/+5this is spam crap garbage.... how does this crap make the front page?
- akusuma, on 10/10/2007, -5/+3anyone got a mirror? it seems to be locking up already.
- smackhero, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3i loaded alright for me, just took a while. refresh the page if it doesn't load after 30-45 seconds.

- vamapaull, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I think this is anther project made by Collis from flashden.net
- Asvetic, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I think they did Retailmenot.com and Freelanceswitch.com, or at least the bug-eyed mascots are the exact same.
The original host/design company is... Eden.cc no mention of Retailmenot though.

- tech9lab, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0lamo! did not work!
- gdgi, on 10/10/2007, -5/+5apparently the new wave of design inspiration is to shamelessly spam sites hoping for traffic, and then having your site crash immediately because of said traffic
- redrock34, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I see a slick new design of a lot of white space.
- shazbot3, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0Geez! Even the redirect in the mirror doesn't load the freaking page!
- sin667, on 10/10/2007, -7/+0Surprising, that the site took a crap, yet this article is still receiving digs...
- kefs, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2but not surprisingly.. you're a moron.
- Limezor, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Digg needs an official auto mirror function...
- johnn11238, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1crashed.
mirror crashed.
boo-hoo. - gordonf238, on 10/10/2007, -8/+2What's with all these "Inspiration" sites? How many sites do you need to look at before you come up with a decent design yourself? A good designer doesn't look at others' work in order to get inspired. It only leads to subconscious plagiarism. No graphic design problem is effectively solved by staring at others' solutions. If you feel the need to drown in these "Inspiration" web sites, you need to retake your college course.
- bleutuna, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7You're an idiot. Seriously. You're absolutely a moron. ALL DESIGNERS look at other people's work to get inspired. It doesn't lead to plagiarism, but it does help you keep in tune with what current trends are and how someone else may have solved a problem you're having with design concepting.
But, hell, you're probably right. It's not like there's a publisher named Rockport that's been in business for YEARS selling books solely to inspire designers or anything.
Ass.- gordonf238, on 10/10/2007, -3/+0You're not a designer, are you.
- jkoke, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1No. Not really, we don't. I see good design everywhere. I don't need to go to "design faves" sites to look at the latest, "me too" designs. Design is about solving a specific communication challenge, not seeing what's cool or hip or recent or trendy. Tell me if you think Paul Rand or Saul Bass pulled out the latest logo books to get inspired? There's a huge difference between being aware of good design and being inspired by it. Inspiration comes from within. Trust yourself.
- Jimmysam22, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5So by your logic, writers shouldn't read books, filmmakers shouldn't watch films, painters shouldn't go to art galleries and musicians shouldn't listen to music...
- gordonf238, on 10/10/2007, -4/+0The good ones don't. The bad ones (like Tarantino) get so influenced that they straight-up just rip-off people like Scorcese. You can either be a hack or an original designer. But it seems you've already made that choice.

- MedHead, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Green is quite popular.
- anagoge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Green is the new red, which was the new grey, which was the new black, which was the new white.
And thus we come full circle. Welcome back to white websites. - erikerikerik, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1The reason green is so popular is because your eyes have more 'pick-ups' for green hues. no one knows why. thank you evolution for another random thing you did to my body. :p
- anagoge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Green is the new red, which was the new grey, which was the new black, which was the new white.
- nexlogic, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Cool
- compcaddy, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1site went down on me faster than Paris Hilton. ba da bing!
- onkelcommy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4While the site is down check out http://www.screenalicio.us for more design inspirations.
- bleutuna, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Nice site, but, it doesn't offer the same thing that the other is supposed to do.
There is a gluttony of "CSS GALLERY" kinda' sites out there, but a severe shortage on collateral stuff - business cards, letterheads, envelopes and brochures. Collateral is hard to design sometimes.
- bleutuna, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Nice site, but, it doesn't offer the same thing that the other is supposed to do.
- NerdyNinja, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Takes forever to load all the images. Slick looking maybe, but annoying.
Hope it's just diggLoad - joeyjojo, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Not really 'slick'. Also full of a lot of mediocre stuff.
But, nice idea, I guess. - anagoge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4For the record, www.logopond.com is far better for logos, but I do love faveup's business card section.
- istatic, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1looks like a copy of www.logopond.com
Edit: beaten - Mockylock, on 10/10/2007, -4/+0www.Worth1000.com has a bit more of a selection. I'd recommend starting there if you're looking for "inspiration."
- mongrel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1isn't this what www.logopond.com was for? Does it better too.
- samfishercell, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Great idea, mediocre designs.
And whoever suggested looking at Worth1000 for inspiration - I hope that was a joke. The logo design competitions on Worth1000 are only good as two things when it comes to designers - Job security, and the cause for much laughter. - connorrhea, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Hey you have a mac too? Wow, you must be a designer then. I can tell by the lack of concept and that each design is limping along on the fact that very few have nice typefaces...and those few look exactly the same. But good job on the no concept part.
- bradbaxter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1But the "Spoon" isn't "Green".
- trancemotions, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0definitely some nice logos.
- iamdexter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1nice site. that does worth it. Thanks for sharing mate.
http://www.clarksshoes.us/ - Visitenkarten, on 05/21/2008, -0/+0I like this collection of business cards. Thanx for sharing!!!
http://www.transparente-visitenkarten.com - xpirtdesign, on 07/18/2008, -0/+0could be of use. great site.
