That isn't really true, this happened primarily with prison and older tattoos... when the inks were not as good. Techniques now make them last alot longer. I work with some older guys who have some still very well defined tats from thirty years ago.
Really, you would be suprised who has tattoos. In the white collar world, there is alot of area you cannot see. Reading these judgemental, "Oh live your life the way you want, but you will hate yourself at 60." comments makes me laugh. People don't just randomly get ink, it is a commitment. Or I should say, alot of people don't. Hey, I would rather be sixty and regret a tattoo then be sixty and have a life full of regret.
