Pizza Vending Machine
wonderpizzausa.com — The innovative machine holds, cooks and serves 9â€? whole pizza pies in just 2 minutes. There are 3 different pizzas available in each machine at one time.Maybe it's this type of "forward" thinking that has led to america's ever expanding waistline...

- dstart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder when the first Pizza machine hacks will become available :)
"Free Pizzas' for All!" - Grypht, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I got fatter from just LOOKING at the site! And I work out every day...
- sergio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Hopefully it won't jam like soda machines."
Worst yet. Have it about to come out and have it just dangle there like a bag of chips, and you have to rock the machine back and forth. - tryferos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is a double edged sword...One part of me says "Way to go America, let's get even fatter, even quicker!"...the other part, which is now really hungry for pizza is saying "Where can I get me one of those!!!!"
- celeb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0awesome idea for dorms
- dpg10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0just think how its gonna be infested with bugs. reminds me of those coffee vending machines. My parents used to service those machines and told me horrible stories of the bugs. I guess they gotta figure out a way to seal it. Hopefully they have with this machine. Cause pizza in two minutes is awesome.
- genconkeeper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Didn't I see a story on 60 minutes a few years ago about a company ripping people off with a pizza vending machine.
- stickyboot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Nasty, just nasty. Mircowave pizza has alwase sucked
- hijinks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"This is a double edged sword...One part of me says "Way to go America, let's get even fatter, even quicker!"...the other part, which is now really hungry for pizza is saying "Where can I get me one of those!!!!""
actually i think they said it was created in italy - bryantchoung, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0We had this machine at our school. The pizza from this machine is just horrible. You could take ketchup packets and throw it with some ez cheeze and slap it on cardboard and it would taste better.
We also had a Spaghetti machine. Was a little better, but not that good. Too much water left on the spaghetti.
You'll notice that these machines are referred to in the past tense. - thatedeguy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Expanding waistline or no, I want one of these in my building...

- poppopfizzfizz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This reminds me of the opening scene in "2001: A Space Odyssey" when the gorillas surround the monolith. In this case, the geeks surround the pizza machine. I want one of these!
- phildo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I remember seeing a Tombstone Deep Dish vending machine on the UC Riverside campus when I was there for a conference in 2003. Definitely a novel sight. Quality of pizza consumed is proportionally enhanced by the quantity of booze imbibed beforehand.
- zone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mamma mia!!
- M4tt3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey, it say 2 minutes on the front page, but 90 seconds on the machine. I'm suing, that's false advaertising, I don't want to wait the extra 30 seconds, geesh, I got things to do.
- Mideon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now this is a great idea!
- Snyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder if it can cook more than one 9 inch pizza at a time, so that one person can order, and while theirs is cooking 1-2 more people could order and have theirs start cooking. Would really cut down on long lines. Maybe like 2-3 pizzas cooking at a time and any further orders get put in a queue.
- dan_s, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Hell.. my vending machine gets stuck on a frickin candy bar.. what is a 9" pizza gonna do? haha... sounds like great invention to help the obesity problem in the US. Now I can walk down to the vending machine for my snickers, coke, and 9" pizza. Theres 3000 calories!
- Radscott, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If this were in my office, I'd never leave. Can't wait until it gets hacked like Coke machines! http://digg.com/search?search=hack+coke+machine&submit=Submit
- guy.gregory, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Guys, it's a microwave with a coin-slot. I'm not sure about America, but in the UK you can buy microwave pizzas that are ready in two minutes.
What would be impressive would be if the end product didn't taste like cardboard... - ishmael5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't think vending machines can really be blamed for the ever-expanding american waist, i mean, look at japan, they're dominated by vending machines, and for the most part, they're pretty healthy weightwise.
- Nessguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This machine doesn't use microwaves.
- chymmylt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I actually found one of these in Vaasa Finland about 3 years ago and tried it. The pizza was alright - bout comperable to a frozen pizza you make @ home but getting a hot pizza in your hotel at 3am after stumbling home from a gig is a GREAT thing since there wasn't a 24 hour Koti Pizza (The Finnish Pizza Hut)
- SidewalkPilot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mmm. if my office gets one, i'm going to die of a heart attack before i reach 30.
- joerodriguez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0HAHAHA New Bedford Mass... REPRESENT!!!!
- Tricky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0w00t!
- zenghost, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0we're to lazy to even wait anymore...lol
- jumjum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can imagine Domino's or Pizza Hut making these eventually. Amazing.
- robsta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mmmm pizza machine
shouldnt this be in hardware? - psychophil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Or maybe the expanding waistline is due to everyone sitting on their asses in front of a computer digging and playing video games.
- M4tt3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Or maybe the expanding waistline is due to everyone sitting on their asses in front of a computer digging and playing video games."
Exactly!, if everyone was active, it really wouldn't matter what they ate. - jimbo92107, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm holding out for HP's new PizzaJet printer. Stay tuned for this one.
Ultra-thin, bendable crust sheets from Xerox (20 crusts per sheaf), red sauce and pepperoni cartidges, laser-melted cheese toner, and of course, little robotic shakers for garlic, oregano and cayenne.
A convenient graphical interface lets you precisely adjust the thickness of the sauce, the number and density of the rendered pepperoni, and of course the thickness of the cheese (in fatzels). Prototype units were a bit slow, and output tended to get gummed up in the carriage mechanism. However, these problems have now been ironed out, resulting in a fine, thin pie generated on a single-plane with ingredients added from above.
Problematic early versions included minor burns and one unfortunate pacemaker incident caused by the unshielded microwave unit; however, a more efficient laser cooking/printing technique solved that little snafu. - meander, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0poppopfizfiz- lol thats funny
- anti-net, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I want one!! :D

Uh, that's because their's a big difference between what type of content is loaded in their vending machines and what's in our vending machines. As opposed to potato chips, candy bars, and other fat enriched products, vending machines over there comprise mainly of teas, noodles, sashimi, and other healthier choices.
I won't even begin to elaborate on the total cultural difference between food types that the general population consumes, which is actually the major contributing factor for the "difference" in weight issues between the two countries. - coachace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This and a beer tap. Monday night football at my place!
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0College dorms will never be the same!
