Fast forward to '86 and I finally got tickets to see them. The lights go down and the opening notes of Echoes ring out. It was kind of an epiphany. Wish You Were Here is still my favorite.

It's a shame really that modern (last 10 years especially) music sucks so much. I wish artists would stop focusing so much on computer generated noise and "i wanna ***** her" lyrics and start at least trying to reach the depth bands like Pink Floyd did.

The CD's are mini-replica's of the original vinyl with all the original album artwork and inserts. It would be very nostalgic to just look through this set. At least for me it would, because I'm old, and I remember looking at the Wall album cover for hours.

      For those who don't already know: For years I heard rumors about Dark Side of the Moon being playable with The Wizard of Oz, almost as if the album was meant to be played to the movie. There were several coincidences that just seem too good to be random. To this day Pink Floyd deny this, but judge for yourself.       Although the Dark Side of the Rainbow effect has become famous, its origin is murky. In 1994, fans of Pink Floyd discussed the phenomenon on the Usenet message board alt.music.pink-floyd. At that point, knowledge of who first thought of combining the two works, and why, was already lost.

This is a quality ad, awesome use of flash animation. Probably the best internet ad I've ever seen. This is why Dark Side of the Moon is the 6th best selling album in the history of music. I still listen to it at least once a month.

    I'm on a 1.6ghz G5, btw. Not the newest or fastest machine in the world, but pretty average, I'd say. If your ad requires users to have the latest and greatest just to see what you're selling, you've taken the wrong approach. Somebody's ad agency hired Flash animators, and forgot to include any user experience professionals.

    Sell me the music, not the Flash animation, please.

    They did it again in 2006, but this time with DVD-Audio discs and CDs.
    The Dark Side of the Moon SACD was really great, so if they put it into one of those two formats I would buy this box.
    Otherwise, sorry, nothing new.

I signed my contract 5 years ago and it didn't mention Digital Downloads at all. Luckily I am with an indie so they don't screw me but they could and often they do screw artists.
          You don't know what you are talking about. DOWNLOADING MUSIC ONLY HURTS BIG RECORD LABELS WITH A VESTED INTEREST IN THE CURRENT SYSTEM. Everyone else actually benefits from the wider exposure and ability to compete with labels that have billion$ on an even playing field for the first time in decades. Music is changing and this false economy that it is based on is going out the window. And, in response to AmusedToDeath : You can't download being at a live show (thats where most bands really make there cash) and thats when you are actually WORKING, otherwise your analogy is just total BS. Viva le Bit Torrent.
