- everfalling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27Carbonite encasement is too good for jar-jar...
- Arbus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24ILM worked on the Ghostbusters movies. Also, Slimer is the ghost of Yoda.
- DrakeTheRedEye, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Nice collection. Darth Goofy is great.
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19I gotta say... I really did enjoy Jar Jar in carbonite.
- Qazzian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Woo Hoo to pic 7.

"YAH! YAH! meesa knows!" - jimvwmoss, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Lets just hope Princess Leah doesn't free Jar Jar from the carbonite by mistake!
- Sodathief, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14Thats pretty sweet. But what is Slimer from ghostbusters doing there? There wasn't even anything star warsie about it. I think the Jar Jar in carbonite is my favorite
- fbeecher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8They should toss him to the Sarlaac just to be sure...
- elpayo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7We just shot a commercial at the old ILM stages in San Rafael. It's a little slice of geek heaven to walk through a prop room and see a golden C3PO arm just lying out on a table.
- heatmiser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Although very few people will ever get to see it in person, the vast collection of stuff inside the blue archive building at the Ranch is where most every major prop from all the SWars/Indiana movies sits in permanent storage. Literally thousands of models, props and concept art pieces are kept in the environmentally controlled warehouse.
The best items I think inside are the Raiders "ark" itself and the Hoth walkers. The Death Stars and Vader's capital ship are amazing as well. Vader's ship is huge. There are a ton of matte paintings as well, most of which are painted on shower-door sized pieces of glass.
Inside, the air is dry and chilly to help preserve everything. It's a shame that commercial tours are not available becuase it's truly geek heaven. - ElectroOverlord, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I like the R2D2 Desk lamp behind Yoda in the last picture.

http://www.veronicabelmont.com/ - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I would toss him into a Rancor pit or drop him off in some remote spot on Hoth (far away from any sign of a rebel base). Maybe even take him on a Kessel run in a ship that happens to break down right outside of a spice mine. Of course, shooting him in the head would probably achieve the same end result, but it's not nearly as entertaining to watch.
I feel naked without my pocket protector. - dougm68, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Jar-Jar, " Yousa can all be blowin me dinka dinka me thinks."
- prowling-tiger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It funny, Disney made a whole bunch of plush Darth Goofy's then Immediately call them back not to be sold, because they didn't fit the image of Disney, made goofy look evil.
- clickswitch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Unfortunately, only one or two of these pics _really_ show off the cool stuff you'll randomly stumble upon in the crevices and hallways of ILM and LucasArts. There's nothing quite like walking by a matte painting of a background from some famous movie you once saw. Some of them are four foot by ten foot long, and larger, hand painted, and amazing detail. They have a few such hallways. Some miniature sets and robotics, too.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Why? Because hes been frozen to preserve him for future starwars fans to hate?!
- marksy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4et chuda, kawa wookiee
- Fhwqhgads, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Too bad #7 didn't actually happen in any of the movies. I'd have paid double ticket price to see that. Triple if he gets thrown into a volcano on that lava planet.
- shadowman99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2dugg
- Sparkster185, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Finally, Jar Jar is where he belongs.
- HelloNavi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2He IS, you know, and old man...

- matito10, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Web 2.0 Meets Yoda
- dwrd, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I know the 2 guys who made the Jar Jar in Carbonite. They were invited out to the Ranch to give it to George this last June. They did a road trip across the country with 2 Jar Jars in Carbonite. The original for George, and a second one for Steve Sansweet. Jar Jar was originally made for Celebration 3.
- vaxguru, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This sorta stuff always brightens up my day.
The Jar-Jar in the carbonite photo was the icing on the cake. Thanks :) - selfdisplaced, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i actually like the one where Chewie and an Ewok is sitting by the elevator. that would be kind of creepy to see at the end of a hallway in the dark.
- jefdub, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Check out the Emperor’s white, old-man shoes:
http://news.com.com/2300-1026_3-6153101-12.html?tag=ne.gall.pg - OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -8/+5Jar Jar should be erased from history.
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1"One of the best things about ILM's studios in San Francisco is that scattered throughout are posters and props from films the company has worked on."
To be fair, ALL studios have hallways filled with posters and props from films they worked on. At least every studio I've visited or worked at. - martinj88, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Seeing Jaja binks encased in carbonite makes me feel quite happy.
- valiko75, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I liked Mickey SkyWalker. May the FORCE be with you :)
- yasirwisdom, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3some just make me yawn...
digury me as you like - jakdracula, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2Nothing you can't see or buy in a toy store.
Crap. - ESTEBEVERDE, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1Fake!
Just kidding.
That's the real deal. - OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -17/+3Bambi II... ???
Come on now. - OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -25/+2Btw, Chronicles of Narnia sucked ass too. And so did those pirate movies.
- OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -32/+5Disney is everything that is wrong with Star Wars.
There's nothing funny about the Sith or the Dark Side!
