- datcrazydj, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Synonyms for Amazing: astonishing, awe-inspiring, awesome, exciting, hair-raising, heart-stirring, impressive, magnificent, moving, overwhelming, spine-tingling, stunning, thrilling.
- jetsetgo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The people who made these are most likely professional Artists and Sculpters. It wouldn't be a stretch for them to accomplish this. That and they use teams.
Keep up the good ignorance though. - jetsetgo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They use spray glue. Apparently it moistens the sand so the pack it together, then it hardens so they can scrape away what they don't want.
...rinse, repeat...sans rinse. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4thumbs up for art anyday
- airsters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2did people build these and they stayed or are they somehow glued together? and are they man made or by like a machine? anyway there awesome!

- fantasticjon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I remember seeing this guy as a kid down in ocean city maryland. His stuff is pretty impressive.

Warning: if Christian symbols somehow offend your sensibilities then you should skip this. I am agnostic myself, but I am not offended by religious art. I don't want to turn this forum into another tiresome religious debate. - Tine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm amazed by the amazing comments I get on my sandsculpture pictures.
Greets from Belgium :-) thanks
http://www.pbase.com/tineke/sand_sculpture - marinist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Those are the best I've ever seen. Too bad I'm nowhere near Lommel.
- Blabster, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4That is totally cool...considering I cant even draw a proper circle!
- bouche, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I didn't believe these would be AMAZING until I noticed the reassuring word 'really' in brackets within the description. Phew! I would never believed it.
- Aeiri, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Better hope it doesn't rain :/
- swimzach_2009, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Beautiful.

- Sepeteus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That hardening agent is glue.
- 5hop4orce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You tried to avoid using "Amazing" in the title, huh?
You're fired. - Philluminati, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1

You should see the sand sculptures at Weymouth, UK.
The guy does all the big films on Weymouth beach including a full size Johnny Deep and Orlando Bloom, and loads of other films.
Check it out...you heard it hear first - ij00mini, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I feel un-nerdy. I noticed it, but had to check if it actually was the quake logo. I feel ashamed.

"I spent my teenage years jacking off to porn and blasting aliens on my computer"
I suppose we should all be grateful you didn't spend your teenage years jacking aliens and blasting off to porn... could have precipitated Intergalactic War I. - thidranki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"detachable penis"
- Xyleene, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1More like coarse clay... I don't think sand could hold itself that well. Still amazing thou, esp. the Castle!
- stalefries, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Since when do you spell "Design" t-e-c-h-n-o-l-o-g-y?
- DroidBlender, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1Thats really cool. There's this guy in Venice Beach who keeps on making the same sculpture of this babe, its very neat. Thumbs up!
- thekronz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How grumpy were the ladies who worked on these?
- furto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1im pretty sure there is a hardening agent in the spray bottle, its a huge part water tho. The sand sculptures in my local area are done with a hardening agent in a spray bottle.
- incubusknight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Since when this has to do with the Technology section?
- idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2That's .
- thidranki, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I cannot wait until it rains!
- incubusknight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Since when are you Digg user? Design is a child menu element of Technology. Since technology is its parent menu, I would think this has to do with technology. S-m-a-r-t-a-s-s
- sastian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I like the Quake III logon on this guys chest!
http://www.pbase.com/tineke/image/46451852 - durzagott, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You know, when I see stuff like this (which is insanely good) it makes me realise how much I have wasted my life. I wish, for just one day, I could do something as extraordinary as this. The time, skill, and dedication that the artist has put into his art is on another level. While I spent my teenage years jacking off to porn and blasting aliens on my computer, he was actually making his time on this Earth count for something meaningful. Phenomenal.
- idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's okay dominasian, we can be pathetic together.
- Brodels, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1what a day for a tsunami.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i saw a spray bottle in one of the shots, i bet the sculptor just sprays it and packs it down
- gamebittk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Look awesome, but can they be preserved? are they hardend some way?
- JHibbins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have taken simular pictures at the Brighton Sand Sculpture Exhibition :
