- manjy90, on 10/12/2007, -2/+52If a moment in the life of every digger was taken, 60% of them would be looking at porn, 35% at Apple info, and the last 5% at Kevin Rose's blog
- str3ama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39absolutely a brilliant idea, it's actual quite beautiful - but I only wish they had made the larger image a picture of the world rather then some explosion mosaic. They should do something similar only more recent and allowing anyone to send in pictures, perhaps a digg effort?
- AssProphet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30The idea is good yes, but the execution is unfortunate.
If you search around enough you'll see the same frames repeated in different places. Also it's pretty obviouls that these frames have been tinted to improve the overall look of the mosaic (most software generated mosaics use tinting). When you look at the frames individually, some of them look terrible because of the heavy tinting.
Also I don't really care for the photo they chose to mosaic. - manjy90, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30oh god, Digg's gonna bring this site down like Rosie on a "The View" set char
- XenophobicAlien, on 10/12/2007, -1/+29I found waldo!
- k28921, on 10/12/2007, -7/+32Do you think that's funny, moron?
- clackerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24i found the same dude in three different pics. one moment in time indeed.

working, unlike duggmirror - 10001110101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Somehow, the first picture I clicked on was a woman in a hot tub with some man leaning reaching down into the water.. For a second I thought, "Hey hey! Someone was getting jiggy during that moment, and they got it on film!".
Then I saw that the caption was "Birth".
Touching, but not quite what I expected. - Epik, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Interesting idea but the execution could use a little work.
- viperman5000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I will give the first person who finds porn in that mess, $5.
- FixToTheMax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7This is probably one of the most awesome concepts I've heard of in recent years. If anyone remembers, there was a camera that was supposedly developed to do something similar to this effect. You took a snapshot, and it sent the exact date and time to a satellite, along with your picture. Then, after about an hour or two, a different picture with the same time stamp as the picture you took would show back up on your camera. Unique idea, pretty similar. Seems like the "special moment" can be shared across the world, I guess.
- TheKricket, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10you know - we live in a day and age where almost nothing seems to shock anyone anymore - but im still amazed at the amount of completely clueless and ignorant trashy ***** that pop up on, seemingly, a daily basis...
as for the article - brilliant - it seems like such a simple and obvious idea but thats what makes it even more special - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Looks like nothing more than an advertisement for the DVD.

theres a baby coming out of a woman in there somewhere and if you squint you can kind of see a pube, does that count? - kcmedic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Good idea, but I don't think that this is exactly one moment in time either. Maybe they used all shots taken within that one minute (anything between 12:00:00 and 12:00:59).
I like the idea of one giant collective "CLICK". - spearce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4great idea...bad implementation...i can't wait to see 2.0
- str3ama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4they did it twice, once at 12:00 noon and then another set 12 hours later and they added those pics on there. I'm not sure how it works exactly but that's according to the description.
- phmfthacim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4there were also two pictures in the mosaic of the same guy taking a shower in different positions
- nmoline, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3No they couldn't have waited had to do it on my 20th Birthday. I don't even remember what I was doing 2 1/2 years ago for my birthday.
- MortiMouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Here's a link to both the trailers:

Enjoy Ü - smackjack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If this really is one moment on earth, how come there are very few night shots?
- kolobcreek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Just more proof it doesn't pay to be a terrorist.
- mycalculations, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3it appears that we killed the moment
- VegasKill, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Imagine all the sex happening at any given moment....
- tarynme, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Well, it's not very helpful, but there's a thumbnail here: http://www.hedonistica.com/2006/08/a_moment_on_earth.php
- azAZ09, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Sofa King Cool !
- zmigliozzi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That site just pwnd my browser.
- digirat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+127 people fell for it (the ones that dug him down)
- antonio97b, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In one of those picture (around the bottom right edge of the explosion) one of the countries that the picture came from was "Special Features".

Sorry man, but duggmirror doesn't capture flash. - tomharding, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very nice idea, I reckon it would have been a lot nice in the form of a world map or something.
- bsmsmbaphd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All right! Vicarious emotions, just what I need!
- robertgoodwin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I saw several pictures in there of the same person in the same scene, but apparently moments apart. So they couldn't possibly be all from the same moment. Still... very cool concept. Digg.
- Rastar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is a great idea, but a much better choice for the photo would have been a map of the world, with the pictures of the 'mosiac' over where they were took. Also they being so small when both in the mosaic and when zoomed is pretty annoying.
- tomharding, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Agreed. I can't find anything in here.
- fibreoptix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Brilliant
- walkingdogs, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6OMG check out the 37th from the left and 24th from the top. Crazy Picture!!!
- antonio97b, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wyoming has a picture in the day and a picture at night. They are a little off from the same time.
- satellitefilms, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The first moment in Wyoming was shot at dawn (looks like night). What you see during the day is just the commentary the Wyoming filmmaker made after his moment... It's in the mosaic because it's a part of the film... People often mistake it for a photography project - actually it's a film project. Someone posted links to the movie trailers above... good catch...
- satellitefilms, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it's a film project actually, not a photography project... the 'moment' is longer than a single camera frame...
- SeaMowse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow... how awesome! Beautiful - it gave me a 'warm fuzzy' feeling. :-)
- satellitefilms, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0We set the shoot time to be 5am on the West Coast of the US so most of the night would fall over the Pacific... For this original moment, we had people shooting at night in Tahiti, Saipan (near Guam), Japan, Beijing, China, North and South Australia as well as Maui and Oahu, but many of them are shot indoors so even though it's night you wouldn't necessarily know it from just looking at this mosaic... like the Huatong in China...

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1no fair i saw the same guy taking a shower like 6 times now
