- Ploddy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17Honestly? Meh. But to each his own.
- bbodien, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Summary: zoom in and use the pencil tool.
- FcukDt7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12When I clicked actorboy's link I was taken to the right place. Is that a feature of Diggmirror? Pretty nifty.
- Silverphoenix55, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Meh, not really all that great...
- quamb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8not sure why you'd need a tutorial how to do this... and if so, why it is on digg... pretty damn basic
- 2L84ME, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5*cringe*
- tgraham, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It's like windows 95 wallpapers, all over again...
- mikevickrocks, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Why is it so hard to just post the actual duggmirror link, actorboy? Anyways, here's the actual duggmirror link. http://duggmirror.com/design/Perfect_Pixel_Patterns_-_Photoshop
- Cannon13, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Squidfingers has some of the best pixel patterns around for those who are interested.
http://www.squidfingers.com - philz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Actually, this is the only thing you can do with MSPain(t)..
- delp3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You don't need a $400 graphics program to do this. You need MSPain - I've made those things before. Zoom in, use pencil, copy, paste. You can fill a whole screen of pattern in less than 10 minutes.
- u8myfoood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2agreed, you dont even need photoshop to create the patterns...
- tpacyk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2If you can find them anywhere on that site...
- prockcore, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Seems easier to find an old 128k B&W Mac and use the background desklet.
- McNash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm dreading having to make my own *draws in a deep breath*
- MrPresident13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think we've figured that out.
- MightyGiant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Is Pixel Pattern a new word for picture?
- NGliam, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Cool tutorial, examples, all that.
I didn't know you used Digg though, hehe :)
-liaaaam. - artman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Psst. Mac users...

/very cool free pixel editor
//continue... - thijs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice tut goes forward
- vbsurfer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Horribly designed site. Scrollbars within scrollbars. bleh!
- samfishercell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It can be done pro and subtle-like. Works well for background textures (notice the one on the page). It's not completely worthless.
- mynamewontfitin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Heeey Liam! Thanks for the feedback. I've been a lurker on Digg for quite a while but now I've decided to be more active.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1horrible outcome that's 10 years old looking. You can do this in MSPaint and not Photoshop.
- Merrick015, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0mspaint and photoshop can finally hold hands... maybe not.
- givaldo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Perfect!!!
- skabyss, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4is it necessary for this to be a tutorial, none the less on the front page?
- Adamus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Might be useful.
- rockdave, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Very very basic... good for beginners though. Also, I'd at least anti-alias my pattern by making it double size and then smooth scaling it down.
But like I said... nice for beginners. - droolingmnky, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5Good tutorial, helped me out! thanks
- Privilege, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Squidfingers is good, but I prefer http://www.k10k.net because it has a much larger library of patterns.
- Celeron, on 10/12/2007, -10/+6Simply pixelrific. ;)
- nifty, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2I kind of agree with both of the last two comments. It's nice to see the examples, but if you didn't already know the Photoshop parts of this... well... let's just say I would consider this tutorial kind of basic, and therefore lacking some other knowledge that might be useful to someone on this level, such as how to set it as your element's (or pages) repeating background.
Also, to not elaborate on the fact that you could do this with many different types of patterns of different sizes and create other popular effects is fairly negligible. When the site comes back up I will have to check out some other tutorials. - Thickey, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3quite nice
- Privilege, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3This is a good tutorial. Although, anyone who isn't interested in web design, digital art or other forms of digital media may not find it very useful.
I'm not very fond of the pattern he created, there are so many more possibilities! I think that the author of the article has displayed some boring patterns. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1CorelDraw and Corel Photo-Paint ;-)
