- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+151I still say this is the best thing ever done with a hole in a CD: http://www.ratemyeverything.net/post/1336/The_Plan.aspx
- monkeycatDx, on 10/11/2007, -15/+116This makes me question, were exactly do all those Cd holes go?
- killeryugi, on 10/11/2007, -5/+93Well, considering the CD's are produced by injection molding, there are never actually CD holes.

- mrfunkeye, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17Did you know that the hole in a CD, DVD etc is exactly the size of a "dubbeltje" which is a Dutch word for a 10 cent coin, 1/10th of a Guilder, the former Dutch currency (now Euro).
This is because Compact Disc is partly a Dutch invention and they wanted to give it a Dutch twist.

Post the rest as a reply to this comment - spudnic, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17Isn't the new comment system great? They broke just about everything, introduced loads of bugs, made a mess of nested comments by only being able to reply to certain ones, made it ugly as hell, made it slower, and made blocking useless.
But at least they fixed comment abuse... oh wait - BHRecon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14*3rd times the charm i hope*
"Well, considering the CD's are produced by injection molding, there are never actually CD holes."
actually i used to make CDs.. while its true they are injection molded.. there defiantly is a hole that is removed after molding it contains a stem that allows the machine to move the disk around while it is still hot. - convergent, on 10/11/2007, -7/+19I've seen a goatse one, I'll give you three guesses what the hole was.
- einstein37, on 10/11/2007, -4/+16Weird Al did a cool one too.

- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+12and the best thing ever done with a microsoft disk ;-)
- rejoined, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Well, I am thinking that they got quite a feedback on the comment system yesterday, since a ton of articles came out about it, and also Kevin posted an article himself, requesting feedback.
So I'd say, lets give them some time to work on it, and maybe they'll have something positive to announce anytime soon - resplence, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7The CD center?
- sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7how many times does this have to be explained?
- LR2_, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10http://www.animepodcast.org/digg/cdart/
- dezmo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6actually the size of the coin was based on the cd hole. They did this so that they could store the coins in those plastic holder things that come with the CD-Rs. also becasue they are all nerds over there and they have no lives
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Way to ruin the magic, man. For a moment I was dreaming of a lost island filled with little plastic circles. Where strange and wonderful beasts roam.
- JuyLe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5It was hard to find what text typing frame corresponded to answering to LR2. So, Thanks for the mirror, no thanks to digg, with this system it's really hard to find where's the mirror...

- fxspec06, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4How many times do I have to tell you to CHECK DUGGMIRROR before you post your completely pointless link to it?
- wwwdot1jesdotus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I'm surprised no one read the comments before posting.

- mykool, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3could be the ones who know how to find a mirror on there own.
- rjam710, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm confused as to where I should reply, and I almost missed the mirror that you can always count on to be a reply to the first comment because the first one was buried.
- rejoined, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yeah, previously I'd just used to scan through the replies of the very first comment, and voila, there'd be a mirror posted. Now, you'd have to guess and click on the 'View x replies' to the first one or two parent comment to find it, and if you're unlucky, it's not there either.
