- ukblacknight, on 05/02/2008, -0/+26I was expecting some cool concept phones, not doodles by 5 year olds. Buried.
- tomokatsu, on 05/02/2008, -0/+17wow, these are entirely unrealistic.
I mean, a DVD player that is smaller than the phone buttons?!? WTF: http://images.businessweek.com/ss/08/05/0501_dream ... - Ocelot13, on 05/02/2008, -1/+16haha, welcome to irac.
- Cglass, on 05/02/2008, -0/+11No I think the DVD player is normal sized, you just misunderstood the size of the rest of the phone.
- gllopc, on 05/02/2008, -1/+10Nokia phones: So simple, even a caveman can design them.
- Dylson, on 05/02/2008, -0/+9I would NEVER buy any of these. Bury me now.
- Wuss, on 05/02/2008, -0/+6Nokia has inspired me to find homeless people and ask them to write down their fantasy dinner, then not provide it.
Thanks Nokia. - GjooGjoob, on 05/02/2008, -1/+7I think you guys are missing the whole point. Nokia is obviously not going to actually design and manufacture these phones, they're using this project to highlight the problems of people in poor, distraught areas of the world. It's an interesting idea and I applaud it.
- iBleeedOrange, on 05/02/2008, -0/+6Do people even bother actually even reading the articles anymore? I mean The title looks good, but the article is pure *****.
- InsaneWookie, on 05/02/2008, -0/+5WTF a water bottle phone. This is the reason you don't just ask random people for ideas on technology.
I would like to see a mini projector on a phone, so all you need is a flat surface and you can show photos or watch movies more practically. - gllopc, on 05/02/2008, -0/+4George Ouzounian lives.
- Coreal07, on 05/02/2008, -0/+4#12 I like how he even put the blinking light on the bluetooth headset...
#15 Wtf? Foot fetish? - inactive, on 05/02/2008, -0/+4Nikia Concetp cell phone:
http://www.linkinn.com/_Nokia_Aeon_This_phone_is_B ... - jakem1, on 05/02/2008, -0/+4Be careful, it doesn't work in America.
- inactive, on 05/02/2008, -3/+7blah blah blah......shut up about what makes the ***** front page
- hagbard69, on 05/02/2008, -0/+3If Maddox was still alive, I'm sure he'd have something to say about this *****.
- inactive, on 05/02/2008, -0/+3numb diggers
- zantos420, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2the Eco Cell runs off solar powered panels on the front... which will be buried in your pocket. fail.
- Auryn, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2yeah really
- papatrpt89, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2In FF3 Beta 5 on XP, I can't click past the first pic. This happening to anyone else? The page tries to refreshes, but loads the same pic. Unfortunately, it works in IE6 :-(
- benthose, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2The Nokia 888 concept http://www.nokia888.com/ is at least better than this crap.
- webcrumb, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2And a built-in laser keyboard emitter to make texting/email easy.
Cheque please. - EmileVictor, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2It needs a TV Antanal.
- PhishTahko, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2Yes. In the number of pics up-loaded to flickr. For a single phone model. Which clearly usurps nokia/sony/samsung etc since all of them have only one single phone model out. Twit.
- unconfirmed, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2I'm glad this has reached the front page. I think it'll generate some pretty funny comments that I'm not witty/sick enough to think of. The Modern Nokia Watch Phone made me laugh. I'm going to hell.
- darthgoat, on 05/02/2008, -1/+3Did Homer Simpson design these?
- bk1963, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1 Its really stupid
http://writer.zoho.com/public/rakoos/Dog-Training- ... - Culyt, on 05/02/2008, -0/+1Well those suck.
A watch phone would be useful though, but I would prefer one that doesn't look like strapping a brick to your wrist.
Also I want a phone with cartridge batteries like a G7 mouse so you can swap em out quickly. Or do they do that (I don't even have a Mobile). - pygmy, on 05/02/2008, -1/+2F A I L
- GTanaka, on 05/02/2008, -0/+1for the love of god, spell check!
- InsaneWookie, on 05/02/2008, -2/+31. Go to a third world country
2. Get them to design some mobile phones
3. ???
4. Profit - linksus, on 05/02/2008, -1/+2Where to i queue to get my 2 minutes back ?
- tifosiuno, on 05/02/2008, -1/+2I will take the peace phone.
- mcdowalla, on 05/03/2008, -0/+1what the hell a platic drink bottle as a phone?! i mean what the hell, come on these are rediculous
- *jooloop*, on 05/03/2008, -0/+1You want a phone with a certain function, yet you don't even own one? How hard is it to plug a phone into the wall every 3/4 days?
- Auryn, on 05/02/2008, -0/+1right..
- *jooloop*, on 05/03/2008, -0/+1I wonder what you'd come up with, seeing that he at least writes better English than you.
- mith167, on 05/02/2008, -0/+1if i wanted to see children's art I'd go hang out at an elementary school...then again people might get the wrong idea if I hang out at an elementary school
- MiNGLED, on 05/02/2008, -0/+1No, but they do get lots of coverage from Business week for not too much cash (and getting onto Digg).
- spootmonkey, on 05/02/2008, -0/+1hahaha
- efexen, on 05/02/2008, -0/+0I agree with most of you here, this can be a noble idea from Nokia but I do hope they have learnt a lesson here. These are utter ****, couldn't see a single entry that I could take seriously. Most of these looked like they had been drawn by a drunk 4 year old and the ones that had been drawn fairly well such as "The Modern Nokia Watch Phone"...seriously what the hell is that!!
- PhishTahko, on 05/02/2008, -0/+0I kept clicking, hoping something not lame would show up. It didn't. All aboard the FAIL boat.
- Angus5, on 05/02/2008, -1/+1If only...
- webcrumb, on 05/02/2008, -1/+1I was reserving judgement, but actually I reckon you're right.
- Xcel, on 05/02/2008, -1/+1Let me fill in your blank...
3. Use ***** ideas.
4. Fail - danpat, on 05/02/2008, -1/+1What a complete waste of time. I can't decide if Nokia really are clueless about their future product design, or if this was some publicity stunt and they couldn't recognise the demeaning nature of this kind of exercise. Sure, ask people what kind of features they would like, but industrial design, miniature electronics, and ergonomic design are not amateur sports.
Do you throw open the doors of a surgical theatre to let punters have a go and see what they come up with? -
