- jchalmer85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4And, in other news, with the digg effect in full swing, we find what has become likely the shortest page on the internet. Moving on to sports...
- andrebsd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Shouldn't that be the widest page?
- TotalTutorials, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4by pixels, it say 72 pixels = 1 inch. each image is 600 pixels wide. 81 images. you do the math.
- Skrolnik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It has a lot of catching up to do if it wants to beat:

Almost 6 million pixels wide. - olegk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I work with DNA/RNA, and there are several websites that store the nucleotide sequence. For instance, first chromosome is 245 million nucleotides long. They are displayed 60 per line, so it's 4 million lines of text. Suppose each line is 12 pixels, so it makes it 49 million pixels tall, and assuming it's 72 pixels per inch, it would be 0.68 million inches, or 10.73 MILES tall. Here's the link:

be careful though, i don't think there's a browser capable of displaying that page - screensnot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Never mind.
PAGE, not penis. - jchalmer85, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You know - thousands of mouse-jockies all trying to cram onto the same server at once.. that digg effect? I think the phrase might be Dugg to Death?
- Carbito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That is a really cool idea, looks great.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this is really good art too.
- ekleiner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1make it a single image.
- expensix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That isn't bad, but I like The Versus Project better. http://cubadust.com/versus/index.htm
- TheGameAddict, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Over the years, I have seen countless morons unable to write English in a sufficient way. But not writing "webpage pages", that's new.
- EviLiu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Awesome artwork.
Also, http://www.troybrophy.com/projects/solarsystem/ posted by Skrolnik is neat too. :P - jhaven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1pretty good. nice art. would make a great border down a long hallway..... or perhaps around a room.....
- inactive, on 11/04/2008, -0/+1Matt2k - Spot on, glad you posted that. All these Internet geeks write from top to bottom with a pen? Have you forgotten what direction length is?
- Agret, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's a cool picture.
- brosner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1very sweet! however, im sure there is a myspace profile out there that blows this out of the water in any direction, period. ;)
- andreizilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm going to print this at work
- Matt2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And for the next person that says this page is "wide" and not long. Go pick up a dictionary and come back. Kay? This page is LONG
- kungfustickman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Okay at first I thought this was lame but then I actually went to the page. Nice art. Pretty good.
- Nidobolt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Radical... ROFL @ printing it outrnThis is cool; I wanna see it 10 years from now
- firehydra2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was gonna say I could make something like that with a line...
But that's some sweet stuff there. Good *****, but gay idea... - KingAR_II, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I PRINTED IT OUT. IT'S LONG!"
Are you nuts?! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks great! Another Link to visit:rnrnSusan
- ProfHognutz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm tickled that Peter Griffin's "Lando" persona made it into the picture.
- il0vemymac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thats the longest page on the internet? Not very long (or wide) at all...
- down, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hate to be the first to say it, but most of the images on that page arent anything to write home about. A good number of them are just plain bad.
- laziperson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i made a part of that
- ExtremeDude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0First of all, it's wide, not long. Second, not big deal: NO DIGG!
- shadowsurfr1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They say in the past 12 hours, they used 75 GB of bandwidth. I have a feeling that statistic will rise a lot with the reason being digg. Anyways, cool idea.
- Dog_Paddle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I printed out some of the stuff and put it on my wall :)
- FunHeadlines, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorry, this is just lame. Why that page wasn't even formatted properly for my screen, cuz I had to scroll to see the image!
- volatileacid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0what a work of art! it would be cool on a wall !
- FrigidZephyr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the digg effect AKA DDoS via HTTP request
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"That is.. nuts. By the way, which direction is it adding new pictures to?"
Right. - spacebar14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great, but to say it's longest wouldn't be accurate-- I could just copy the same thing, add another image horizontally, and BAM i have the new widest page on the Internet.
- noseeme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+072 x 72 is widely accepted as the standard resolution for one square inch.
I have seen longer pages, and actually, I have seen far longer images. Sorry.
But that is not relavent. This is very cool, I digg. - suicidal-kid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Those are really nice designs.
- skizatch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's actually really cool stuff on there.
- hcetrepus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Whats the point of it?
- benf2004, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Heh, olegk. I took what you said as a challenge. XD
I would've been able to finish loading it if I'd left Windows' paging file settings at the default instead of shrinking it. I got to line 239390101 out of 245522847, but at that point my paging file filled up. I lowered the size from the default 1.5gb-3gb down to 512mb-1gb. Be careful before saying something isn't possible. ;) - mcgirt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"As the worm grows the file size to load the page grows as well. In the last 12 hrs we have used 75GB of bandwidth."rnrnrofl...this place is going to go off the internet pretty soon because of bandwidth costs. view the worm while you can...then do a few shift+reload for good measure.
- SystemRocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree with andrebsd
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Uh, here's a longer page:
http://elliottback.com/wp/archives/2006/01/21/longest-page-on-the-internet/ - Thumper13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I guess it's ok. Pretty sure this one is longer.
http://3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592.com/
Of course, it is actually long, not wide. - barryyams, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Longest page on the internet? Maybe. Certainly the dullest.
- ehmjay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0okay...this is too cool.
- Rabid_Llama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Everyone saying "Widest not longest lololol" -- the up-down direction is HEIGHT, not length. So yes, it's the widest page, but the longest side is also usually considered "length", so it's the longest page too. Semantics!

What is Digg?
