- Blackmane, on 10/10/2007, -3/+38I would like that one at the bottom please: "Falling piles of organized mess"
- Error601, on 10/10/2007, -2/+35No human being would stack books like this.
- Pilot85, on 10/10/2007, -1/+29...how do they pass fire inspections??
- ps2pers0n, on 10/10/2007, -5/+32its like Jenga except the blocks are books and when they fall, you die.
- capiCrimm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+26it's not messy, it's just a test of your faith.
- dtrinh, on 10/10/2007, -5/+28So ... robots are running this store?
- JackSrenton, on 10/10/2007, -7/+29The video arcade is down the street. Here we just sell small rectangular objects. They're called books. They require a little effort on your part, and make no bee-bee-bee-bee-beeps. On your way please.
- sleepless, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14All I could think of is "Read or Die."
- crichton101, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Are you... Error601.... Menstrating right now?
- meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11If it is, I bet it's run by Bernard Black
- abohling, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8*ahem* - http://imdb.com/title/tt0271308/
+digg for the effort! Great movie - great reference! - diggdong, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I wonder if they have a fire code book???
- elliott203, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7"Hello there. I need some help. Thanks. I'd like to buy one of these books, here, but it appears this particular title is at the bottom of this pile"
- resplence, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Do you work there or something?
- abeg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6they took "Stacks" to literally
- meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6It's always puzzled me why people who don't get a reference always digg it down.
"If i don't understand the reference then surely *nobody* will understand the reference. Quick, digg it down!!11!!" - VirtualCtor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I live about an hour from Salem, and I've been to this bookstore. There are shelves also, but the majority of the books end up in piles on the floor. That's just the way they do it.
- Torbar203, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Reminds me of when my friend and I went to a used record shop near his college. The main floor was semi organized by genre, but it was fairly obvious people just put albums they were looking at in random sections(I found some opera album in the rock section.). The basement on the other hand...must have been thousands of vinyls, not organized at all, piles and piles on shelves, stacks of them on the floor. Picked up some pretty decent albums for a total of like, 5 dollars.
- phunlee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Neverending Story.. why the digg-downs?
- crichton101, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5It's the "Nothing", it didn't do so well in the movie, so it moved on to troll the internet and digg.
- creep303, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Symmetrical book stacking. Just like the Philadelphia mass turbulence of 1947.
- jgzman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Oh, never mind. I don't want it. Thanks anyway!
- Drood, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Dugg up as well. Somewhere under that pile is Manny. :)
- NeoCortex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Ray: Symmetrical book stacking. Just like the Philadelphia mass turbulence of 1947.
Venkman: You're right, no human being would stack books like this. - Error601, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The menstrating thing is GB too.
- theholycow, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Also in Salem:
Bunghole Liquors
http://www.bungholeliquors.com/history/history/history-of-bung-hole-liquors.html - Squaros, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It looks like most used book stores.
- dtraneighty8, on 10/07/2008, -1/+4Wow, that was like 7 terribly unfunny comments in a row.
- Nerfatron, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It's Black Books!
http://www.tv-links.co.uk/listings/1/14 - abohling, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Frickin' inability to read - wrong link on my part.
Correct link: http://imdb.com/title/tt0088323/ - bshep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Now they just need a sign that says 'you break it you bought it' and they would make millions! Millions I tell ya!
- waxoff, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You're right, no human being would stack books like this.
- rationalist, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's a pure booklover's place, a place for serendipity (which is practically the only way to find anything in there). Great Salem vibe.
- antdude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Heh, imagine an earthquake aftermath. Bye bye piles.
- xGORDOx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Dude, me too!
I have bought quite a few books at that store. - Will314, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2And the guy who runs the place knows where every single book is
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Heh, yeah I thought of that too. I love R.O.D.
- diggcarldigg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Actually it's both. They do have some used books, but much of their inventory is new. Their organization is chaotic, but they do have great prices as most everything is discounted from list price.
- JackSrenton, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2what are we at now..like +15 unfunny comments in a row? Its like an episode of Mind of Mencia
- econofast, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yeah... That's what Venkman asks Alice, the librarian....
My uncle thought he was Saint Jerome. - JavertHolmes, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3By the way, ladies, did I mention I'm single?
- renegadeafk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3LOL, She's a guy!
- littledietz07, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I was in a book store once.
- Xtopherous, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Somebody call the Ghostbusters.
- danielphin, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5Apparently thats only the Philosophy/Religion section. (see sign)
- aikahanyou, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1There are a couple of stores just like that in Vancouver...
- SigmaOne, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's obvious that the witches did it.
- ronaldb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'm just thinking of a Swedish bookshop. I wonder if this one has "Europe On 5 Quaaludes A Day"...
- MetricLobster, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Shelves??? we don't need no stinking shelves
- bitspace, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Except that the other photos show the rest of the store. One of them is the Music section.
