- aznboi04k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4you have a beautiful website! they're just jealous. loved your tutorial, thanks!
- nouhad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Stop whining about self promotion and all that crap, just because you guys can't be arsed to go out and help some people. This is an excellent site, keep up the good work and ignore the trolls. Super design you got going there.

Theres no shame in promoting something you have worked hard to build. Digg just happens to be a way to get your name out there fast.
Also, GOOD designers do make their ads look like a part of a site...think of it like product placement in the movies.
//Good job ndesign - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3ndesign, you are a brave one to post this here. The digger trolls are merciless and cruel. Check back here in an hour and you'll see what I mean. As you can see, it's already begun...
- BrowserBabe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As someone who has used Illustrator and learned first hand how frustrating it can be for someone inexperience with the program I think this is a wonderful tutorial site. It gives people ideas to practice with so that they can become familiar with the program and learn what it is capable of doing. Once that happens the person can go off and explore on their own. I wish I had found this site when I was in my Digital Imaging class. Thanks and Digg!! : )
- Lasse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2awsome!
- spyres, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2---i will forever suck at tracing paths, thus I will forever suck at Illustrator. :-(
Then try Inkscape instead. Much easier to use and it doesn't cost you anything. - Chongo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think it actually takes more time to complain about "OLD NEWS" or "SELF PROMOTION" then it does to just move on.....you stupid little 13 years old nerds.....god shut the ***** up!.....oh wait, I just took up more time to complain about complaining......man........ohh well
+digg because of wonderful pier illustration.... - soapycub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2shameless self-promotion ... but worthy of a digg. good work.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it'S not that bad...
- mojaam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Tutorials always seem nice at first sight but after going through it and seeing how somehow your result isn't as well as it should then they are pretty useless. But still a good thing.
- TheD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, he insidiously "masked" his googads by making them the same color as the page...Get your torches people. Hes a MONSTER!
...
I dugg it, i clicked on his ads, and I forwarded the link to a coworker who needs to get up to speed with illustrator...o, and I deemed it rack worthy with a bookmark.
Vodka straight up! Thank You! - cwoolf34, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1already know all that stuff. But good for noobs.
- ifonly, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Who cares if its self promotion? You guys are retarded.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1excellent tutorials. i love the simplicity of the glassy button one.
- iteachgeeks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nice.
- wrapdida, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey keep it up. I finally found something really decent for illustrator! plus 1
- ashtonium, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2[check out how the site masks the google ads and makes them seem just like regular navigation links...]
you mean the links that are at the bottom of the page that say "Ads by Google" next to them? sheesh, what a hater. - technel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It is about time someone put up some good Illustrator tutorials (for free)! Awesome job.
- davinci2k1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks. Those are excellent and really easy-to-follow tutorials.
Digg. - jimb0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I digg this, since I actually think there is a lack of good Illustrator tutorials on the internets. These look great.
- mutants, on 08/17/2008, -0/+1Nicely done tutorials. +digg (and will try them all out this weekend.)
- luckyschop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1ndesign:
what a great site. learn'd me a thing or two! and don't mind all of the misdirected hostility, you have to take digg users with a giant grain of salt. - ndesign, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Guys,
Thank you for the comments. Regard the self-promote issue, I don't think it is a shame because at least I'm not trying to hide it by signing up with different account name. Back then when I was learning Illustrator I couldn't find any good tutorial so now I thought it would be great to share here. Plus the search results on Google on "Illustrator tutorials" are so old and out-dated. - Lasse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1+digg awsome site
- karmadude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1your tutorials are great ndesing and very helpful, and that's all that matters. Isn't that what the web is for, if you have something good, share it!
In return, maybe some of you "freeloaders" can click on some google ads for his efforts. - dxxb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1awesome works. +digg
- zecreven, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1+digg
- shockingbird, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Really good tutorials. Dugg, Deli.ico.us'ed and bookmarked.
To everyone who says "shameless self promotion": This is a very well-done site with great tutorials on a piece of software that's difficult to master. It's helpful. Get off his back. - icexe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i will forever suck at tracing paths, thus I will forever suck at Illustrator. :-(
- danlin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i mean "can't". im retarded.
- jathos, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2not only shameless self-promotion, but check out how the site masks the google ads and makes them seem just like regular navigation links...
- vipsta, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"not only shameless self-promotion, but check out how the site masks the google ads and makes them seem just like regular navigation links..."
If the website is offering Photoshop tutorials, then why not try that website out too? Granted its quite confusing for the user, but its still something that would probably interest an Illustrator user. When did clicking ads to actually visit that particular website become so bad? - danlin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1if you can tell that those are google ads (even if the colors are changed to his nav links), you are retarded.
- StephnDolenc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1i've been looking for this for months
