- xkahn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5A great list of links you probably didn't know about. Covers web design topics for the web designer.
- OutrightLie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Agreed. One of the best resources I have seen on Digg in over a year.
- DiggMeUpPlsThx, on 10/12/2007, -42/+3Fake! No one needs those tools. Because microsoft windows does it all cause it has program on it so its FAKE!
- loneBoat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ummmm... What??
- crawfishsoul, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Please block him. Don't give him the satisfaction of replying to him, he's trolling Digg with fake allegations on each article.
- iamshades, on 10/12/2007, -8/+0rofl!
@diggmeup you're awesome. i dugg you up! everythings fake on digg *****! - xswag, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2@crawfishsoul
Quit being a crybaby Crawfish. I've seen him trolling and if you want to block him then go ahead. Just don't start asking us to block people YOU don't approve of. Your the same kid that runs to the teacher when someone farts in class, aren't you? Maybe your the adult the tries to get other employees fired because you don't like the way the make burgers at the fast food restaurant you work at.
In closing, I sure don't need your help in picking who I block on this site. In fact I have no one in my block list because I want to see what everyone is saying, even the morons with nothing better to do than troll.
Have a good day! - badogg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@xswag: Uh, wake up on the wrong side of the bed today? Little touchy don't you think?
- pete83, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Nah, I agree with xswag. The trolls are sometimes funny, and this one doesn't bother me at all.
- Iknockstuffdown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hahaha at least I got a good laugh out of this
- chipitople, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1...nice
- danmasc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Looks like a pretty cool web design resorce, my fav has alwyas been http://www.resourceindex.com but this looks pretty nice too
- armbar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Looks like resource index pretty much only has PHP information. Not very comprehensive, like this site is.
- armbar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Open question: I've been looking for a font manager for a while now, but never really found one that I liked. Can I have some testimonials?
- ismoke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Extensis Suitcase?
- Karmalary, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like the AMP Font Viewer. http://www.ampsoft.net/utilities/FontViewer.php
- zzz@tkz, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5You only need one tool: Notepad.
- lustre, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Yes and one only needs c-rations and water to survive.
- ifonly, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Oh, cuz notepad is excellent for designing graphics.
- iamshades, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6notepad is also very excellent at real time previews, syntax highlighting, and error correcting!
- zzz@tkz, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Yes. You need syntax highlighting. You need error correcting. You need real-time-previews.
Or, not.
I scripted my website completely in notepad, www.lnrstudios.veriea.net/ , and I made off just fine without those tools. - skymt, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3The website you "scripted" doesn't validate.
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lnrstudios.veriea.net - zzz@tkz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Meh, validation isn't everything. Most of your best websites aren't valid. As long as it looks pretty in all browsers, it's fine by me.
And why quote scripted? It was scripted. Not referring just to XHTML, referring to the PHP & MySQL system that backs it up, as well as the javascript (although nothing too fancy). - andrewry, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@skymt:
Validating isn't a required task for websites. It's merely a guideline of more common practices handed out by the W3. Just keep the following in mind. "Just because a website doesn't validate doesn't mean it's bad, but just because a site does validate, doesn't mean it is good."
Also, scripting has nothing to do with the validness of ones site, as scripting is server-side (except Javascript, etc), it is just his HTML code that doesn't validate. Also, I wonder what you have to say for Digg, Google, Yahoo, and other big sites that don't validate.
This is also a nice site: http://www.alvit.de/handbook/ A thousand and some sites. - bradleyland, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4You wouldn't happen to be friend with this guy, would you?
http://www.notepad.org/
I had to chuckle when I looked at the code and saw tables being used for layout.
- daroot, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1hm i think i'll stick with http://digg.com/programming/the_web_developer_s_handbook :)

- farfromrest, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i like this set up, its use full.
I wonder if the person doing the site has plans to add other versions of this because there is a drop down at the top for "tools for WEB DESIGNERS". Would be cool if it expanded. - DaveMN, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Nevermind- mod me down.
- thediggerdude2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You might as well forget getting your website in Yahoo regardless of how cool it looks unless you want to pay. Here's the digg Article.
