How to Photoshop your car into a Pixar Car!
forums.nasioc.com — A very detailed tutorial on how to take a picture of your car and use a little Adobe Photoshop magic to turn it into a car like you would see on Pixar's "Cars" movie. Very cool...definitely will impress your friends!!!

that is not an easy job, probably will require some 25+ hours of work (less or more depending how good you are or how accurate you want your car). There are some 3D tutorials out there about modeling cars (I done a few), but no "smile" included ..you will have to figure it out how to make it :)

I wouldn't say that the tutorial is essentially about cut and paste, the tutorial goes into more depth than that and the results (even if still a real car pic) look pretty impressive to me.

- dimension89, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Whatever. Not as good as i thought it would be, but still pretty cool. Although one thing it's still missing is the feel that the car is a living thing. It still looks like a car, onto which a face has been drawn or pasted, it doesn't exactly make it alive like Pixar did. I'd say you'd have to distort the car a little bit to give it that alive look, but otherwise not bad.
