- AJRiddle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13When did they start painting them yellow?
- jeffsters, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Junk! There is no mention of USS Albacore the first modern tear-drop hull, USS Natilus the first nuclear powered submarine, USS George Washington the first ballistic missle boat, USS Los Angeles the most prolific and largest submarine class, USS Providence the first vertical launch attack submarine, USS Seawolf or USS Virgina both of which are the newest, most versatile, and most powerful submarines ever built.
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I like the candles in Alexander the Greats....

Rather than complaining, why don't you track down a set of plans, and forward them to the site's owner?
You see, the author is presenting plans and drawings that he has available. Not a definitive history of submarine design. - TheLlamaIs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think he took the phrase KISS too literaly...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wasn't Julio Verne that "design" the first submarines... that men travel to the future to write what he wrote...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3um, 1966?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Submarine_%28song%29 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ah, that crazy Alexander and his glass diving bell. Or maybe it's the painting that make him look silly?
- jackmarlin, on 08/02/2009, -0/+1Nice Designs.I'd love to sit in one of those.
http://www.babyphatshoes.org/ - Demagogue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He missed the Ictineo II as well, which i believe was the first non-human powered sub
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't forget wikipedia's history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Submarine#History_of_submarines ... It has pictures as well.
- optimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's "Forty-five"
- UrlorJkron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My only gripe is the Hunley was actually a vessal of the CSA. It sunk the USS Housatonic.
It's still nice to see plans for all those submarines though. - ptrcd003, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Jules Verne..and yeah
- crashflow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1looking at the drawings made me go from "Haha, they went underwater in that?!" and slowly progressed to "wouldn't want to meet that at high seas" then "...damn, I hope the Russians love their children too."
in retrospect, technology usually starts out of crazy, guesstimated stunts - jhshukla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1why people use jpgs instead of gifs or pngs?
- Aculeus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So was this site created in 1995? It has a crappy background and...*gasp*...blinking text. Cause 45 is important right?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"design" imaginary the first submarines, that men travel to the future to write what he wrote...
- bdpf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorta miss all the uss ### boats.
Let alone all the subs that were in the pacific, American and Japanese or Australian.
Very lame history, incomplete.
