- JernejL, on 10/12/2007, -45/+1sorry.. but wtf is this?? marking it as "OK, this is lame".
- BlackKnight1979, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Can you not read??
Its little apps and "Gadgets" to be added to your website.
Google originally only allowed this on google pages, now they are allowing everyone to use it. - SMRpod, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7@JernejL
It is what it is... If you don't understand it, don't bother commenting about it. Or better yet, educate yourself and read up on it and then comment and add something useful. - Otto, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Actually, it's kinda cool, but mostly for bloggers. Basically you can put the Gadgets they have onto your own webpage. Kinda nifty.
- Barleyman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5it is not lame... it is nice to have a huge selection of "gadgets" to add to my websites. just clip, clip, paste, paste. done. just sayin

- gordonp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Mister, Can You Please Help My Pony?
- overlordmead, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I think it's his lung.
- swaxhog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1OMG Ponies.
- crawf061, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Simplicity favors regularity
- westoncampbell, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2I understand WHAT but I don't understand WHY... Most of their "gadgets" are lame anyway. Still, I'm glad that they are making the option available.
- BlackKnight1979, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I see a few apps that could be pretty useful to me and my work to be used on a personal start page for myself.
- prab, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2One feature I think they should add (possible???) is if you have Google Desktop installed, you should be able to click and drag the gadgets to you desktop. Or if you are designing a Google Page you should be able to click and drag gadgets from your desktop to you page. Just a thought.
- pureliquidhw, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2This is awesome. I can have all kinds of nifty things on my web page. Like a calendar, a clock, and the weather! oh wait, i could already do that. But now it's in the nifty google blue, green, purple, red, or orange. Yay!
- SMRpod, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Who can resist the Digg gadget??? Or better yet the Nintendo Wii release gadget! Nothing like a reminder of when it's going to come out every time I open firefox.
- WorldBuilder, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4Neato. Now everyone can have my blackjack gadget (http://www.chrisbartlett.net/blackjack/blackjack.xml) on their own sites!
You'll need Shockwave and preferably a minimum 1280x1024 resolution.
Sorry, commence spam down-digging... :) - altean, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2A lot of this widgets are designed and hosted by other small sites on the web. The bad thing about it is that this sites might now get a lot more traffic than expected from other sites incorporating this widgets without their knowledge. The good thing is they are going to get a lot more free advertising/promotion/traffic through their widget.
- aramkris, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Can we use this in the wordpress blogs? The free version of wordpress still allows only normal HTML in the sidebar, unless it is a widget created by wordpress itself.
- jkramlich, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Here's another cool Gadget:
http://fusion.google.com/add?moduleurl=http%3A//www.gigoit.org/google/gigoit_ig.xml
Their site isn't fully functional but looks very promising. Who doesn't like free stuff? :-)- MrMidi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thats cool. So you can find free stuff in your zip code and say how far you are willing to travel to filter results. Free Stuff Rocks! Google Rocks too!
- joe90210, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1what in hell is a Google Gadget and when did they come out?
- neoknight, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3welcome to the other side of the internet.
- nulall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0anyone know an easy way to import these google gadgets into netvibes now? shouldn't be too hard now that they're opened up like this...
- spacemonkeyx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, I'm wondering, too. I've tried pasting as-is, but that doesn't seem to work. I took out all the JScript and that doesn't work. Even just used the HTML of the gadget itself and still couldn't get it to go.
Any help?

- onmycity, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This is really cool. These widget sites are popping up all over the place. It's great for our users (shameless plug) onmycity.com
