- daedalus779, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25not everyone is as awesome as you
- mbaylor, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6famfamfam.com has a great icon set called Silk. Definitely worth a look.
- p0tent1al, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Is it even possible? It's like.... you read an awesome post by Smashing Magazine, and you think they couldn't do any better.............but then they come out with ANOTHER great post.
- nasium, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Thanks for the bookmark!
- GerryBot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I have to say, Smashing Magazine are consistently pumping out great content. I've heard people say that it's not difficult to stick a few links on a page and call it a resource, but it's nice when someone else bothers to put together so much useful information.
- ggidster, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Very nice - thanks. It's not possible to tell at a glance though which ones are free, and those that are free for "non-commercial use" (along with a price for commercial use). Not knocking what you're doing, but that clarification would be really helpful.
- badnewsblair, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Damnit! Smashingmag is awesome. Where'd these people come from? And can we have more please!
- joeyjojo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3You work for smashingmagazine, Viewel?
Maybe I'm cynical, but SM just smells of 'digg spam' to me. - NoodleGuy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2What would you prefer to see in the Design section?
- GerryBot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yeah, agreed - although Silk seems to have done the rounds by now. Noticed it was missing from the round-up though.
- TomP, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Amazing, Thanks!
- nutcase, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Question:
anyone know a decent 3d vector program for creating 3d icons?
I have user Illustrator and CorelDraw's built in 3d extruding capabilities, just looking for something with a little bit more control, but don't really need the capabilities of Blender or something like that.
Any suggestions. (for any platform)
thx - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2excellent resource!
- slapthemonkey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Is it like I can use these icons and maybe you can make some kinda tutorial on how to make these?

Don't you understand how stupid it looks for you to complain about anything making it to the front page? It's there, for the most part, because the majority of the users wanted it there. Those that think you are right are in the minority, therefore you already lost. Basically you're fighting a losing battle. But by all means, complain away; the same people who dugg up the story will just digg down your comments.
Happy digging. - freeiconsweb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1More useful icons site

http://ww.flashvillage.com - maninalift, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1Can people please stop Digging this stuff. If I wanted graphic design resources I'd search for them: Dig Tech is for technology news of amusing opinion pieces about tech.
Of course Digg is moderated by everyone so it's up to y'all but personally I'd rather see an end to it. - unselftitled, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1http://duggmirror.com/design/Freebies_Round_Up_Icons_Buttons_and_Templates/

- Bipedal, on 10/11/2007, -26/+5How about I make my own layouts, buttons, vector graphics, and icons instead of grabbing someone else's crap?
- Bipedal, on 10/11/2007, -22/+0So true.
