  • gameforge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1In the last discussion/submission about this (which was promptly buried) someone said that if you used Digg's IP address instead, you could still access it. I don't think the DNS went down, since it wouldn't deliver any page at all if that were the case - so perhaps someone just got www (the subdomain of digg.com) pointed at the wrong IP address. Either way, a 404 page error (on Apache anyway) doesn't result from insufficient bandwidth unless an admin manually/purposely removes the site due to (observed) excessive requests.

    So anyway, pingspike is right, he shouldn't get buried.
